As far as I'm concerned it used to be we and us but I can do the polarization thing if pushed to it. That said I don't see any positive outcomes that come as a result of it. You can see it in other places too... when elections take on the air of a battle of attrition, and people have cause to fear the election outcome, that's when things really start running off the rails. 

If/when that happens, and if/when it takes on extremes, it will probably happen in the US first and we'll get an opportunity to see what it is that we don't want here. 

That's even more important than the list of things you do want IMO.

It's a wish list that only bad experience causes people to write and most divorced folks are pretty familiar with the concept. I think it's easily avoided but hey, you do you.

Canastan is fcked. I saw some of that NDP whinefest. It left me even more embarrassed of my country. It was nothing more than a bunch of self-serving brats who found a platform to voice their grievances at a failed political party's function.

That they were even given the opportunity to publicly show just how sick Canastan has become, is pathetic.

That was actually intended as a general statement, not directed at you in particular even though I did use the word. I think it's the only such usage I intended in the post. The "you people" thing is an eyeball salutation and I use it occasionally because I dislike it so much.

Note the use of the word "we'll" here as it speaks more to my intent.

I'm not going to spar with you (or anyone else) over points of order like this though, there are others here happy to do so.

I'd still say that knowing what you don't want is every bit as important as knowing what you do though.... no matter who it applies to.

I used divorced people as an example and I think it's valid to do so. From sad experience they usually have a pretty good sense of what they absolutely don't want in future relationships and those items serve as red flags to be heeded... even to the point of prioritizing them above their "do want" list.  

Here's another example of something you (we and us) don't actually want (in headline form). Perpetuating this sort of thing comes with consequences for all:

Canada is far from fcked.

But, I agree with you about the NDP.  Avi Lewis has some pretty impressive fore-bearers in his father, uncle and grandfather but he is as far left we have ever had. He sure played to and stirred up the radicals within the party.

Correct me if I'm wrong: didn't our country just lose 100,000 jobs in two months? Aren't grocery and gas prices still sky high? Aren't we the only G7 country with a shrinking economy?
