Tons?  LMAO!

With millions kicking and screaming against these measures every inch of the way.

With cars...not so much.

islamic terrorists use cars, trucks, bombs, machetes, gasoline, ovens and guns to massacre women and children.

Canadians have millions of guns and kill almost no one with them.

You're ignoring 80 years of dispossession and oppression Palestinians have been subjected to.

Decades of fear and loathing with demonization and weaponization of the issues and people surrounding the ME Conflict would be my guess.

The same reasons we're seeing it manifest around the world. Everyone is becoming wound up a little too tight and full of themselves for anyone's good and especially their own.

An Islamic nutbar goes on the rampage and here you are immediately jumping to their defense with whataboutisms and obfuscation. Rather despicable.

So do islamophobes, incels you name it.

In the meantime I guess until we find out more about the motivations of the shooters at Bondi Beach the means by which they carried out their attack is the issue. The investigation I to that will most certainly look at access to the weapons used but its already been reported the 6 guns owned by the father in the attack were obtained legally. So...here we are arguing about gun control to prevent that too.

Now you folks are arguing for  greater control of people instead of guns? Okay, so what do you think about random checks of gun owners on par with random checks against drunk driving?

How do you know it's an Islamic nutbar? There hasn't been anything about the shooters or their motivations that's been made public. Yet here you are jumping to conclusions and assumptions that are despicable towards Muslims.

In any case, how did a nutbar legally get his hand on 6 guns?

Sorry but the Israelis were scattered far and wide and never regained the government of Israel until 1948 when they stole land from the Palestinians.

Except it was an Israeli who prevented the best chance at peace by assassinating Yitzhak Rabin.

nope, yes or Arafat had the best chance and he blew it

The next best chance came in 2014. And they blew that too

They decided to start a war on October 7th and that blew up in their face. Literally

They have had chance after chance after chance after chance to find a way to peacefully work it out and lived in prosperity and they make the deliberate decision not to and instead support hate and violence.. That's what you're defending

Because gun control doesn't work.  Thanks for asking :)

Zionists had one chance to create a place for Jews to live in peace instead they chose to do so violently. That's what you're defending.

Hence calls to just ban them instead. Thanks for pointing out control is a half measure at best.

Maybe if gun owners put some effort into gun control instead of resisting it all the time it might work.

I accept your concession. :)   Yes tonnes, look at the glock for example.  There's been massive improvements in safety in the industry.

Quote

With millions kicking and screaming against these measures every inch of the way.

Not even one person. Show me ANY people who said that the improvements to the remmington 700 safety mechansim was a bad idea, or that we shouldn't move to

Glock as i mentioned invented the Safe Action System, a revolutionary, partially-tensioned striker-fired mechanism that integrated multiple automatic safety features into a simple, reliable design with a consistent trigger pull. This design effectively resolved the longstanding conflict between immediate readiness and safe carry in semi-automatic pistols.

Have you ever heard anyone say that glock should never have done that?  They sell quite a few glocks you know :)

You're such a liar :)

People want their guns to be safe same as they want their cars to be safe.

Quote

With cars...not so much.

Guns either as it turns out.

Quote

That's right, all the focus was on the individual.

And it worked.

And you want to abaondon what works in favour of your ideology.  So, doesn't matter to you if people die, as long as you get to virtue signal about guns.

Quote

Can you imagine the kicking and screaming if the number of gun owners that were randomly checked to verify they weren't radicalized or off their meds was equal to the numbers of people who are randomly pulled over or stopped to ensure public safety?

False equivilancy.  Nobody's checking if drivers are off their meds or depressed before driving. And gun owners are REGULARLY stopped at random to make sure their guns are safe and that they're not drinking or the like, i've been through dozens and dozens of conservation officer checkpoints in my day. The cops also drive around the known wilderness gun areas and talk to gun owners.

And even more so - EVERY SINGLE DAY, every one without fail, the RCMP databases matches my gun lincese up against every court order or court case or report that enters their system and flags if i'm in ANY of them, so the cops can decide if my license needs to be suspended and they need to come get my guns.

it's the same for every licensed gun owenr.

Imagine if the cops scanned every single driver's license owner and if there was a report of spousal abuse or a report from a doctor about depression or even drunk and disorderly conduct they suspended the person's license and towed their car away.

So you're 100 percent wrong as usual.  As i suspected, not a gun owner so you didn't know any of this.  But gun owners already go through vastly more scrutiny than drivers do,

Game set and match kiddo ;)

Because it doesn't exist. During that time they had endless opportunities to make things work and achieve an equal and prosperous partnership and they chose not to.

And you're ignoring their choice to deliberately support terrorism hatred anger and death of not just the Israelis but their own people. I have no idea why you side with a terrorists, it will never make sense to me

The majority of Palestinians money goes toward murdering the jews. Which is a shame cause they got some very nice land that they could develop and help out their economy. Im sure alot of places in that region would help out as it could be considered a coveted spot for harbors and everything else

Hmmm, I don't recall ever being pulled over in the boonies hereabouts and asked to show them my gun - an old WW2 Lee Enfield rifle. A hunting licence was the only paper-work you needed.  It was so worn out and rusty, even driven over once, I threw it away years ago.

Exactly. And over a relatively short. Of time if they had been interested in building a life instead of a death for themselves they would be unequal footing with the Israelis and enjoying prosperity. And they would save money on preparing for war and the Israelis wouldn't need to spend as much money and everybody will be better off

. Instead they chose destruction and death and that's just a damn shame

You don't have a gun. And there are literally  thousands of people who get pulled over every year in British ColumbiaTo have their gun checked and see if they're hunting legally.

Yeah, things may have changed in the last 30 or 40 years. Go back far enough and you didn't need a driver's license either. Funny how that works

As I said I suspect you are out of touch and you've just admitted you were. Fair enough, but that still means you're wrong

. And by the way, I remember running into game wardens back in the seventies so maybe you really didn't use your enfield very much even when it wasn't crap?

And I noticed you didn't comment about the fact that gun owners are literally screened every single day.

Well there you go
