Speeders don't willfully kill 100,000 American youths every year. Fentanyl dealers do.

The reality is that the users do it to THEMSELVES because they don't care about their lives.

No dealer has ever threatened my life.

You are such a heartless, ignorant liar, and coward.

The people dying from fentanyl were not doing it to themselves because they don't care about their lives. They are people addicted who thought they were getting their next high, not a death sentence, because some narco terrorist cartel didn't give a shit about a quality product.

There is some hope on the demand side. Fentanyl deaths are falling in young people. Psychedelics and cannabis seem to be preferred which are safer drugs.

Alcohol seems less popular too, fortunately. What’s needed is a change in social norms like the ones around drunk driving and spousal abuse. Peer pressure is more powerful than any law in changing behaviour with drugs.

We must consider that Trump will try to drown out the murders of the fishermen by launching a war against Venezuela, so that these killings go unnoticed among many other victims. "Denounce him! He’s nothing but a rotten CIA degenerate

I almost never call anyone a socialist, despite the fact that the promise of socialism is just used as bait by fascist wannabes.

Who and what are you prattling on about now, idjit?

FYI it's the left4rds here who think that "cognitive dissonance" means "refusing to consider evidence that runs contrary to one's established beliefs". I've explained that one to you, and especially robo, over and over and it's just beyond your ken.

"Fishermen" lol.

FYI if you're in a racing boat travelling between countries with a truckload of narcotics and you stop to try to catch a tuna that doesn't make you a fisherman. It just makes you a drug mule with a fishing rod.

If you caught someone having sex with your wife and she said "Oh it's ok honey, it's just the plumber" would you just look in his tool bag and say "Oh, my mistake. I see the monkey wrench now"?

You've explained that one of the most common definitions of "cognitive dissonance" does not fit YOUR AGENDA.

Quote

Cognitive dissonance is the psychological discomfort experienced when a person holds two or more conflicting beliefs, values, or attitudes, or when their beliefs conflict with their actions. This internal conflict creates mental unease, which motivates individuals to reduce the dissonance by changing one of the conflicting elements, justifying the inconsistency, or ignoring the conflicting information to restore harmony.

Would you just make up ^silly stories and pretend they're based on "facts" you cannot prove?

Yes, you always do.

Threatening Venezuela looks part of an Americas First policy where the US, China and perhaps Russia divide the world into spheres of influence. The US gets the western hemisphere, Russia at least some of Europe and China the rest.

Funny how you always respond to the low effort posts but you never seem to have the wherewithal to discuss the intellectual posts.

If those guys in their little boats deserve to be killed, what is going on with this kingpin?

Quote

A former president of Honduras who was convicted of drug trafficking has walked free from a US prison after receiving a pardon from Donald Trump, as the country’s presidential election remained on a knife edge with the US-backed candidate leading by 515 votes.

Juan Orlando Hernández, who was sentenced to 45 years in prison for allegedly creating “a cocaine superhighway to the United States”, was released from a West Virginia prison after Trump’s intervention, Hernández’s wife confirmed on Tuesday.

It came as Trump steps up his “war on drugs” with airstrikes on alleged traffickers in the Caribbean, and a massive US naval force off the coast of Venezuela.

What if Trump decides to reward him lavishly for being a rat? How valuable is a rat at his level of the game?

Maybe he wants to establish that there will be two types of drug dealers: informants and cadavers.

In the drug world there is always a lot of doubt and uncertainty between gang members, but when the heat is on and they're all facing death or freedom, many choose freedom.

It's a long-established precedent that the first guy to go informant always gets the lightest sentence of the group. This just amplifies that difference: it's now freedom or death instead of 5 years vs 15.

By rewarding this guy, he's opening a door for more extremely valuable informants.

You don't win a drug war by getting a bunch of people in jail, you win by getting valuable intel.

And like I said before, maybe the plan was to get him sentenced all along, just so that they could turn him informant. Even during the previous administration.
