What if Trump decides to reward him lavishly for being a rat? How valuable is a rat at his level of the game?

Maybe he wants to establish that there will be two types of drug dealers: informants and cadavers.

In the drug world there is always a lot of doubt and uncertainty between gang members, but when the heat is on and they're all facing death or freedom, many choose freedom.

It's a long-established precedent that the first guy to go informant always gets the lightest sentence of the group. This just amplifies that difference: it's now freedom or death instead of 5 years vs 15.

By rewarding this guy, he's opening a door for more extremely valuable informants.

You don't win a drug war by getting a bunch of people in jail, you win by getting valuable intel.

And like I said before, maybe the plan was to get him sentenced all along, just so that they could turn him informant. Even during the previous administration.

What ^this means is a lower level informant to get the TOP GUY. AKA mob boss.

You've FAILED to understand that the Honduran President was the mob boss.

But it is, and you thinking it is not actually lends credence to my initial point.

But it isn’t.

You thinking it is, is totally political and you can’t put forth a logical argument based on facts and reasons that will hold up to scrutiny as to why.

They are blowing up people in the ocean! These people are NOT at war with the US. There has been no evidence provided to indicate they are carrying drugs. If Trump wants to punish drug dealers, why did he pardon Hernandez?

OMG, yes, the military blows up people all the time! Now, please give us the context.

You don't have to be "at war" with the US for the US to defend itself.

This is not a court of law, it is a military engagement. I guess you are a fan of the conspiracy theory the entire military chain of command is all in on a big cover up to randomly blow up poor innocent famalies out on their sail boats just trying to enjoy a picnic.

Because Hernandez reinforces Trump's schtick of rulers treated unfairly.

See Trump's claims of fake trials for Hernandez....

Thanks for demonstrating once again your total disrespect for the LAW and deification of EVERYTHING Trump does. 🤮

Dude, you have yet to explain what law is being violated here. You just say International law or Geneva Convention with no explaining and run away every time you are called out.

The swift boat attacks were without question a success in terms of tactical success.

In terms of political gain it's difficult to quantify the degree of failure - amateur hour.

WTF is going to be the reaction of these clowns if something affecting real National Security arises.

So… you think the President should be more concerned about political appearances than practical results?

ah, let me think............ YES!

It was rhetorical, meant to mock your comments.

You care more about appearance/perception than reality.

What do you think the families of addicts would say to killing drug runners? Just because the left has successfully created a drug-runner-victim class does not mean it is wrong to kill the people responsible for killing 288 people a day.

Don't you think that if I were wrong that I would know it?

Doesn't matter. That poll result is not the worst.

Gallup used to be Trump's favorite.

Trump can't run again so he doesn't give a rats ass about political rating nonsense. One would have thought that would be common knowledge by now.

What is common knowledge NOW is the less Trump's power is respected, the less power he has to gain Congressional cooperation.

It’s weird how the people who call out Trump’s lies are accused of being deranged, instead of the people who so gullibly believe them.

Narco-terrorists, my foot. Who believes this claptrap? It’s all to keep Trump supporters occupied while he rapes the country.

It’s all performative cruelty. Instead of blowing them up, why not arrest the boat operators and bring them to trial?

They have been blowing up pangas, which have a range of about 150 nautical miles, tops.

So, we are expected to believe that these boats are bringing drugs to the USA? It’s 1700 nautical miles to Miami.
