The comparison breaks down because the Gazan government has been trying to murder every Jew they can.   That would be like if Jews were murdering German civilians and launching attacks at them a few times a month for the previous 25 years.

Nazis are authoritarian, super nationalists, and don't tolerate dissent.

Well, the Left is authoritarian and doesn't tolerate dissent. It definitely isn't nationalist, of course. 

But Muslims are authoritarian, don't tolerate dissent, and are super, super nationalists - not for their geographic nation, but for what we might call their religious nation. 

And the Left adores them for it as much as it hates Nazis for the same traits!

So what is a common trait of Nazis that isn't also a common trait of Islam?

I would argue that they are a kind of nationalist. They believe that the power of a nation should be supreme and should follow their ideology precisely. They believe in things that at first glance seem unnational but in reality they have absolute faith in the state provided it's the state that they create.

I was not asking you to explain why Nazis are bad, I know they are bad. 

It is amazing... the same people who spent the last 4 years crying about Trump not sending the National Guard soon enough now decry him using the National Guard to protect people and federal property from violence and crime.
