LOL well, it probably was inevitable. Those are both people who don't suffer insult well and are both prone to hitting back when hit. I'm not sure what trump was thinking, but of course musk was going to get offended. Trump took the gov't subsidies off of EV'S, which was fine with musk if the money went into savings, But trump SPENT it giving subsidies to OTHER industries. So takes away the benefits to musk, which is fine, but then blows the money giving those benefits to others. It's no shock musk is pissed, and off it goes. I doubt that this will end in the immediate future Quote There are two types of people in this world: Those who can extrapolate from incomplete data

Boges Posted June 6 Report Posted June 6 For someone whom uses their brain to analyze the situation in the US one would have to come to the conclusion that fiscal responsibility will never be a priority for Trump. It's not his money, it's all about him and his friends and family. The DOGE experiment was a social one. He was only allowed to pillage agencies that handled items that opposed the Trump narrative. If you really want to save money, slashing military spending would be the easiest way to do it. But this BBB increases military spending. In an age where a hostile power can ship death drones next military installation, B2 bombers and Abram tanks seem relatively quaint. I don't know how people can't recognize that everything Trump is doing is geared towards making himself and his billionaire friends even richer. Nothing in here really helps the working class all that much. No tax on tips is a symptom of a society where consumers have to subsidize workers salaries because they don't need to be paid minimum wage. It's all corporate greed. If Elon really believes in fiscal responsibility he should sabotage the GOP politicians that voted for this bill. It'll make following US politics exponentially more entertaining. 3 1 Quote

Where are you getting this from? The bill CUTS $1.7T in mandatory spending. And that is all it can do. In order to pass a full budget, there has to be 2/3rds majority in the Senate. That isn't going to happen. So, the Senate will use reconciliation. Reconciliation only needs a simple majority. Under reconciliation, only mandatory spending can be passed. Since discretionary spending needs a 2/3rds vote, there is only one other budgetary maneuver that can be employed, rescission. Rescission only needs a simple majority in the House and Senate. The White House has stated that they will be sending numerous rescission packages for approval. In part, the packages will be sent as they go and based on how easily they can pass. 1 Quote The Rules for Liberal tactics: If they can't refute the content, attack the source. LMAO highly unlikely with those 2 megalomaniacs. That’s not to say they won’t have some future business arrangement. Musk is still the richest man in the world and Trump is still the most transactional nihilist in the world and both are completely erratic in their whims and beliefs so who knows ? A Trump third term dictatorship could still be bankrolled by musk even as the men continue to despise each other personally l. At least Trump wont be selling Teslas on the WH lawn again. BeaverFever Posted June 6 Report Posted June 6 (edited) Elon probably got pissed when the Qataris gifted Trump that half billion luxury plane. “Hey that’s my b1tch, I bought him first! Quit cutting my grass!” And Trumps new sugar daddies were like “ A salam alaikum we make all our money off of oil enough with this electric car shit, may allah burn it in the fires of hell!” Edited June 6 by BeaverFever 1 Quote

gatomontes99 Posted June 6 Report Posted June 6 Not a single lib is giving Trump credit for not glad handing Musk a big fat wad of government cheese? Im shocked, shocked I tell you. I think he would have absolutely been fine with trump cutting off the subsidies for EVS if it had resulted in savings for the gov't, But I think that the problem is trump took those subsidies away and then gave that money to someone else. So elon's lost the benefit AND there was no savings for the gov't. I suspect this fight is going to be going on for a bit now. herbie Posted June 6 Report Posted June 6 C'mon this is highly entertaining. Both showing what obnoxious pr*cks they are. We know Trump's in the Epstein files, that he's a sexual predator. Give us the dirt! Threatens to pull govt contracts, threatens back to leave astronauts in space. What a couple of bullheaded petty arseholes. Catfight! Catfight! Quote
