Hodad Posted March 25, 2025 Report Posted March 25, 2025 Guardian Senior members of Donald Trump’s cabinet have been involved in a serious security breach while discussing secret military plans for recent US attacks on the Houthi armed group in Yemen. In an extraordinary blunder, key figures in the Trump administration – including the vice-president, JD Vance, the defence secretary Pete Hegseth, the secretary of state, Marco Rubio, and the director of national intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard – used the commercial chat app Signal to convene and discuss plans – while also including a prominent journalist in the group. Signal is not approved by the US government for sharing sensitive information. Buttery males!!🤣 2 1 Quote

After Hegseth promised them 100% security. This is honestly so dumb--on so many levels--our intelligence allies will understand exactly why their concerns were justified. Actually, their concerns were understated. Now they know. 35 minutes ago, Nationalist said: Hegseth says none of this happened. Well, maybe if Trump had hired someone trustworthy and qualified (instead of an abusive, drunk TV pundit) Hegseth would be right, and none of it would have happened. Oh, the road not taken... Easy for him to deny it when if he didn't set it up, he would not know it happened. Until he checked the distribution list, IF he knows how to do that. LMAO Supposedly Mike Waltz set it up. Quote
CdnFox Posted March 25, 2025 Report Posted March 25, 2025 Well that's pretty bad. I wonder how that even happens, like somebody must have realized that the reporter was there. Quote "That which doesn't kill me... Had better start running."

LMAO I'm smart enough to know that it's unlikely that the cabinet itself chose the platform or vetted the invitation list. Which makes me wonder how whoever did could possibly miss what was happening Quote "That which doesn't kill me... Had better start running."

But it’s bigger than that because they should not be discussing and sharing these documents on a commercial app in the first place. There are very strict rules about this stuff. Unfortunately Trump has appointed people who are so grossly unqualified for the job not only do they not know or care about the rules they have open contempt for the very idea of rules… at least for rules applying to them. This attitude is part of MAGA culture. Edited March 26, 2025 by BeaverFever 1 Quote

You have anonymous sources that were not a host, but just some random person affiliated with the show that has been refuted by the actual co-hosts who are on record. 1 Quote
