He did literally say that.  He literally said they need to put a bullseye on trump.  It's pretty clear he was speaking metaphorically but that is actually what he literally said.  he said that while they're fighting about the debate trump is driving around lying about his golf scores and they need to put a bullseye on him.

The 30 year old shooter was an Antifa member, arrested multiple times for being violent at anti-Trump events. He was not a republican.

Days before an assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump, President Joe Biden said it was time to “put Trump in a bullseye.”

I'm not going to suggest that Biden literally called for someone to shoot Trump. But these people in high places and those that have a large audience should be more mindful about their rhetoric and that there are an awful lot of unstable people right on the line between sanity and insanity.

There are deranged people on both sides of the political spectrum, but it seems like it's much more common on the left. Just listen to all the people coming out on social media expressing their disgust that the shooter missed his intended target. Not even a mention of the person that lost his life and two others seriously wounded.

Sorry but that's not quite accurate. 

They all agree so far that he was registered as a Republican BUT  - that in reality he donated money to Democrat superpacs and supported them.  I guess someone can register as something and change their mind later. 

And they also say they don't KNOW the motive, not one single one says that he had a 'motive'.
