Is Leftism a kind of Religion?

What's authoritarian about conservatives? Was it conservatives that helped create the vaccine, or was it conservatives that forced everyone to take it?

Neither. The vaccine was never legally enforced in Canada, America, or any other western country.

I didn't bother reading the rest of your rant because you started off with such a stupid accusation. Next time, start off less stupid and ease into the insanity.

You might have noticed that Tucker Carlson used to openly support Russia, saying he hopes they win, praising Putin, and so on.

You see the world through the eyes of a child.

You have an emotional reaction to everything you see and it overrides logic and reason.

FYI nothing that you said was even remotely true, it just felt good for you to say it.

Newsflash: Putin isn't Russia. Russia isn't Putin. The proxy war that you're supporting against Putin hasn't been good for business.

Sure, we'd love to see a free, open society in Russia, but that's gonna take a while. Biden can't solve it with terrorist attacks, chemical warfare and nuclear weapons. He's a stupid man with a bad plan. This is the Afghanistan withdrawal on steroids.

Pressing Russia with NATO encroachment backfired. Now the US dollar is under attack. China is openly threatening Taiwan. Russia is actually doing a lot of business with some of the largest economies of the world right now, China and India.

The world is so much worse off now than we were in 2019 it's unreal.

Thanks for throwing the molotovs though. You're a gem.

Good talk.

Yes, and I sympathize with the people of Russia who are victims of the Russian government, just like the Ukrainians.

However, the reason so many Republicans and righty pundits are rooting for Russia is because Putin is a fascist. It's the same reason CPAC invited Viktor Orbán to speak, it's why Fox celebrated Giorgia Meloni's win in Italy, and why Trump wants America to have "quick trials like in China."

I'm sure you'll also deny this happened, even though it's on video.

But I get it. Conservatives are anti-reality. You like the authoritarianism and imperialism, you're just too much of a hysterical beta to admit it. So you just lie to yourself.

The vaccine was indeed legally enforced in Canada, For many if you didn't take it you faced punishment of losing your job, your right to travel, your right to gather for religious purposes, etc etc.

Even the gov't doesn't deny it - they and others claim that it was NECESSARY to enforce it on Canadians. And you can make that case but you can't claim it wasn't enforced.

What a stupid topic. If anything, MAGA is a religion because they have a God.

Dude, have you read American Antifa's posts? Does that not look like a brainwashed cultist to you?

No one thinks that Trump is God, so stop saying things which you know are patently false just to chime in, but anyone who's even being remotely honest will say that the trajectory America was on in 2019 was light years above what's happening now. It's like we went from the space age back to being single-celled organisms.

The US was on top of the world and peace was growing like a weed, now there's war in Europe and China is threatening war on Taiwan. The POTUS is talking about chemical and nuclear war with Russia.

The world has gone to shit, and pretending that Trump is our biggest problem is so stupid that it boggles the mind. You're almost as bad as molotov girl.

Who supplies them with their marching orders, and riles them up to throw molotovs and shoot fireworks at cops? The people who supplied the false narrative about M Brown.

The leader of the DNC is their God.

They believe things that are blatantly false just because the DNC/CNN say them. They act on those things violently.

For the MAGAs who have a god, he's in the bible.

Trump is just a man who loves his country and a lot of people respect that.

True Scotsman for sure.  I identify as conservative but I believe Universities are an essential institution.

So politicians like Bernier are, to me, as useful as a manure pile at a cocktail party.

Short Disagreement, before the <- communist radical responds:

In Canada, the COVID-19 vaccine is not legally enforced in the sense that individuals cannot be forced to take the vaccine against their will.

That's true on the face of it - but i would note that it has long been held by legal tradition that coersion is still 'forcing' someone. If a person is given a choice where the alternative is so horrible that they will suffer extreme damage, it is seen that there really ISN'T a choice

in other words - if  i put a gun to your daughter's head and say "you can give me your wallet and leave  or i can kill her",  technically you have a choice but is it REALLY offering a choice?

The law has usually said no, if you are coerced into making a choice then it's no choice.

If the alternative is to lose your job and your livelyhood as was the csae with federal and provincial employees.  especially at a time where finding other similar paying work would be very difficult, and you are restricted in your activities etc compared to vaccinated people, then you are being coerced. And as such i would say that in a very legal sense you were being forced to take the vaccine by law.

The left's whining definitely won't stop.

Russian collusion was a farce for which they had to commit crimes and that went on for 3 years. That's a lot of crime which you all appreciated.

Plus Ukrainian collusion lunacy.

Plus all the caterwauling about covid when Trump was actually running circles around the leftards in NA.

Then it was "JAN 6TH IS JUST LIKE PEARL HARBOUR AND 9/11!!!". "THIS IS THE FIRST TIME THAT ANYONE HAS QUESTIONED A PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION!!! Q796QSn.gif "

Now Stormygate lol. "OMG, a politician signed an NDA!!! That's 34 felonies!!" ?

You're a complete joke.

Coercion absolutely does meet the dictionary definition of 'forced':

Quote

: to make or cause especially through natural or logical necessity

Even if we just write it off as "coercion" and forget that it meets the threshold to be called "forced", the existence of coercion is enough to render any written contract in BC completely unenforceable. It's no small thing.

And seeing as coercion renders contracts unenforceable, it's a fact that here in BC people were denied the right to informed consent when they had to take the jab. It's not even debatable.

I think that leftists don't understand the significance of the word "coercion". I personally don't understand how it makes a difference to them, but whatever.

They're just not decent, honest people.

for @CdnFox

It's true that coercion can sometimes make a "choice" feel like it isn't really a choice at all. However, the situation you describe with the COVID-19 vaccine is different from the example you provided. In the case of the vaccine,
individuals are not being threatened with harm or death if they don't comply.

They're definitely being threatened with harm tho. If they lose their income in the middle of a pandemic how will they pay for their home, their food, their children's needs? What about their pensions - they may have counted on those for retirement and now they lose access to being able to fund them or may lose what they've donated so far depending how long their worked.

You are at BEST seriously threatening their way of life, at worst they could wind  up impoverished and on the street.

That's a serious enough threat to qualify for coersion i think.

2 minutes ago, Contrarian said:

They are being given a choice between getting vaccinated and facing certain consequences (such as losing their job or being restricted in their activities) or choosing not to get vaccinated and accepting the potential consequences of that decision. This is a difficult decision, but it is still a choice to stand for your views, then there is the court system, etc.

But in the meantime you could be homeless and your children could do without.

If we were to take it back to my example (which was intended to be extreme to highlight the point), you might think 'well if he shoots her she MIGHT survive, and i can always have another daughter".  But is that really how most people would think? Or you could think "well i hate to lose my daughter but i should stand up for what i believe in".  But again - is that REALLY a free choice?

All choices have consequences, good or bad, but when the consequence exsits as a punishment for the choice then that's a problem, and it becomes coersion. They are forcing you to make the choice they want.

Like i said - you could argue that it was NECESSARY because you believe that covid was such a threat that we HAD to force people to abandon their rights in favour of the greater good, but i don't think you could argue that it wasn't forced.  And frankly i think you'd be on thin ice with the 'greater good' argument as well but at least that's more debateable. :)

Shape up.

1) You completely ignore almost all of the content in every post and just fire back with snotty insults.

2) You still haven't said how it's possible that we "vaccinated" 85% of the country and ended up with 25% more covid deaths than ever before

3) Your comment:

Covid-19, I have a plan to contact a few skeptics, like real ones, that did not engage in conspiracy and harrassment of medical staff, like you did, but said No.

How so?

Harassment of medical staff? Are you on glue now?

Lots of anti-vaxxers did not need to do what you did and keep doing.

Almost no one in Canada, aside from me, bothered to find out what % of covid deaths each month were from the vaxed/unvaxed.

It's honestly quite bizarre that no one else bothered to look at the elephant in the room.

2. Just like you, I want her to keep talking so I can respond and post quality information back. Is how ideological battles are won. They are not won by being a thug on Jan 6th. Is through language, try it, but will be hard for someone that is used with the internet as sugar.

and if folks like you or AntiFa become violent for your ideas, and it happens to me, in public, I'll call the police and will show up to your radicals trial every time.
