A thread topic to discuss the political discourse in this country.

The things that I find most bizarre about current political discourse:

1. Values such as control over your own body are now called "far right fringe". This was a mainstream, one could even argue liberal idea not long ago.

2. Protests against left wing politicians are now considered "treasonous", "insurrection" etc. While protests such as BLM which caused 1-2 billion dollars in damages are often praised.

3. Foreign influence by players in the World Economic Forum, the United Nations etc on Canadian policy are considered necessary but a $10 donation from an American toward a Canadian generated protest are called "foreign influence".

4. If you are a white person you are automatically a racist xenophobe but racist rhetoric from others is not only encouraged but necessary

Seems the discourse is generated by the powerful to protect the powerful.

It doesn't sound like you want to discuss this course, does it start yet another rant about the Liberal Party of canada.

Certainly the rhetoric from the LPOC is sad.

Political system in the country is a close club isolated from the society. A reality of an MP or party bureaucrat isn't much or in some cases at all connected with the reality of an average individual. In this environment the flows and ebbs of the system, ideological agendas even egos of the players can have higher magnitude and stronger influence than problems of the country. We're discovering nothing new here. This is what old, senile age of democracy always looked like.

I think this all relates to the issue of censorship, which has gotten waaaaay out of hand since covid.

This radio host, Kid Carson, lost his job for these comments he made on the radio.

But I think what he has to say highlights a growing frustration with censorship.

Do not question.

Just obey.

It's worth the 8 minute listen.

A politician in a healthy, functional democracy cannot just say or order things. All, every word and every action is under scrutiny of the society every decision questioned until proven to be sound, relevant effective and necessary. This like keeping water in a stream clean and fresh by constant movement and renewal. Of course nothing like that happens here anymore. Once climbed to the top, with a majority and often minority no checks exist anymore, pretty much anything can be claimed. And that how politicians come to believe in their grandeur and ultimate overriding power. If someone disagrees by definition they have to be wrong.

Words were pronounced and proven by experience over and again. Society should not allow unchecked, unaccountable near-absolute power of an individual or a group. It never worked in the long run. And now we are proving it yet again.

8 minutes of my life that I wish I could get back.  Poor dude thought his private sector job was a place where he could stand on a soap box and rant the same tired nonsense that you guys post here.  "You're all tricked, you're all foooooled."

Oookay.

You kind of just illustrated the point of this thread.

This man was clearly speaking his true thoughts and feelings from his heart. He makes some valid points that need discussion.

Instead of addressing what he says and contributing to the discussion, you mock him and me, and make zero other points.

You don't ever discuss anything or add much.

Your posts are basically all the same - "Anyone who doesn't think like I do is an idiot and needs to STFU."

He deserves mockery.  He's saying stupid shit on a privately run radio station, where he's being paid by others.  If you want to be paid to be a public speaker/figure, you don't get to just say whatever you want.  That's common sense.  You're doing a job.

If he wants to go ahead and make a podcast or his own youtube videos and rant his nonsense, he's free to do so, but nobody is obligated to pay him to do it, or provide him with a platform or extra visibility.  Crying about it is absurd.

Where did I ever tell you to STFU?

I'm happy to refine your logic down to the kernels of nonsense that they are.  If you want to be taken seriously, use common sense, provide proper sources and quit resorting to "MSM CANCEL-CULTURE LIES" as your catch-all response in every debate.  Should be simple...for most people.

Pretty poor censorship in this country, given all the platforms you conspiracy nuts find to post on.

Are you saying that Moonbox isn't entitled to express their opinion?  That sounds like you're in favor of shutting down views you don't like.

I'm saying exactly what I said - his posts never add anything to the discussion.  They are just rants that tell other posters they are idiots and that they shouldn't contribute.

When did I tell you that you shouldn't contribute?

I have told you exactly what I have told you.  When you provide bad sources, I explain how they are bad.  When you make lousy arguments, I ridicule your reasoning.  That you find it unpleasant is I guess no surprise, but then we find your broken-record nonsense unpleasant and tedious as well.

Ok.

I'll stop posting.

You are not obligated to reply or comment in such cases, did you know? It's your right and choice not theirs.

I'm just getting tired of him and Dialamah following me around from thread to thread, contributing nothing but just there to insult me.

Enjoy the forum, myata. I enjoyed your thoughts. :)

Kid Carson was "The Guy" on Z95.3 FM in Vancouver for a long time. They're the most popular station amongst the kids here, their target demographic was 14-23 all the way. Hip hop music and leftist talking points 24/7.

The fact that he came out and said what he said is like a nuclear bomb falling on the "leftist dogma only" crowd.

The 14-23s were property of the left, period. The fact that K Carson is getting dumped on and called a conspiracy theorist by leftards isn't going to land the way that LPOC & Goebbels/CTV news insults usually land. The kids will actually think about this one.

Trudeau: "Kids. Thinking. OMFG what have we done! Who's responsible for this!"

If CNN gave an infinite number of monkeys an infinite number of typewriters, leftists would believe everything they typed.

If you missed something on the Cultist Narrative Network, don't worry, the dolt horde here will make sure everyone hears it.

Hehehe. Most of those guys don't even reply to me anymore. They're bugs on the windshield.

eyeball and P86 are the only leftists who even try. I have to be nicer to them or I'll have no one left to make fun of ?

Oh please.  Spare us the poor-you syndrome.  You're hardly a paragon of civility, and I'm definitely not following you around.  If you took the time to write thoughtful posts with even remotely coherent citation instead of just spamming every thread with the same nonsense, you'd probably have a better time.

Cheers!

You call other people fascists and mock them for watching MSM.  Should you be treated with more respect than you show others?

To the topic:

I don't find any of what you claim to be true.
