Its official, Trump broke the law

They panicked over Bolton. Now it appears they will block Bolton from testifying.

Bolton is full of chit. The democrats had their chance to question Bolton during their phony impeachment trial that was going on in the house under Nadler. If Bolton had something to say, he could have come forward then. But the crybaby did not. Now the democrats want Bolton to testify. Why now? Trump fired the fool for a reason. Bolton would not take orders from his boss Trump. All those liberals and socialista anti-Trump losers are in a panic because they already know that Trump will kick their azzes and that Trump will win the next election by a landslide.

FYI. Trump held a rally in New Jersey the other day, and over 100,000, I repeat, 100,000 people applied for tickets to get in the arena to see him speak. Many had to wait outside because there was no room for them all. I cannot wait to see the faces and reactions from all of those loser liberal and democrat supporters who once again will lose this election also.

Go Trump, go!!!  ;)

looks like Trump will skate shortly and feel even more emboldened to break the law in whatever way he pleases. will we be seeing him having his political opponents and generally anybody else who doesn't think he's a god arrested or just disappear in the night? there appears to be nothing that god Trump can do to sour his support with his base.

politically i'd suggest this isn't as good as R's even hope. the House was lost to D's because the electorate wanted checks and balances on Trump... not that he has absolutely no checks and balances? R's might get creamed in the fall because of this.

Politically the Democrats failed to do their job in the House, expecting the Senate to carry their water for witnesses.

Trump lost fewer seats in the House in 2018 than Obama did in 2010, and actually gained seats in the Senate (Obama lost seats there too).   Those gains were the margin of victory in today's vote.    "Elections have consequences" - Obama (2009)

Senator Mitch McConnell kicked their ass again with...raw...political...power.

49-51? thats a one vote ass kicking i guess... hahahaha!

and i don't think D's thought for a second that the Senate would do their job. but like i pointed out earlier... the R's are not interested in doing their job in the Senate. there _are_ no good witnesses. R's will wear this... D's have something to say over and over again going into the election cycle. the trial with no witnesses. the trial with jurors that are in bed with the accused. etc. etc.

something like 70% of all americans wanted witnesses... even R voters (albeit because they got sold the lie that witnesses would be a good thing for Trump).  R's just want this to go away as soon as possible and change the channel... D's certainly aren't going to let that happen.

in fact, i'd suggest that D's are the free ones now. the drip drip drip is going to keep going and D's will continue to have investigations that won't go anywhere because they can blame R's that there's nowhere to go... the Senate is not a just environment.

and on top of that... Trumps impeachment team argued that the courts were where the fight for information should be. while at the same time Trumps judicial legal teams were arguing that only the Senate could do such things. so now there is going to be a good wind for D's in the courts.

It’s not the senates job under the constitution to call witnesses.  It’s the houses job to conduct impeachment proceedings.  It’s their job to call witnesses, which they did, 17 of them.  It’s the senates job to examine the evidence presented to them by the house, and vote yay or nay.  With all due respect, you don’t know what you’re talking about.

Sadly, many of them won't.

The US prefers to keep its citizens poor and dumb.

You don’t know what you’re talking about.  Constitutionally the senate did exactly what their job is.  To review evidence provided to them by the house.  Its not their job to conduct impeachment proceedings.  It’s the houses job.

Sadly you don’t know what you’re talking about either.  Btw, the United stares has the highest per median income in the world.  They’re doing a lousy job keeping their citizens poor and dumb!

you may be right. i'm certainly not up on it enough to say either way... but thats more a process then arguing fact. the Ds rushed things for a reason, because they didn't want to be looking over reaching close to an election. now they have carte blanche to proceed into the election cycle at the insistence of the Senate and Trump impeachment legal team. should be interesting.

Maybe things like "data" and "thinking" aren't your strongest points.

The US doesn't have the highest median income in the world (I haven't the foggiest clue what "per median income is") but it does have one of the highest poverty rates in the developed world.  Over 20% of kids live in poverty.

I should point out that the above number is averaged across the country.  The poverty is considerably worse in Trump-voting southern red states.

Yes....that's why the conviction threshold is 2/3rds of the Senate.    More presidents have been assassinated than removed by impeachment.

The Trump haters in America (and wannabe haters in Canada) are emotionally invested in a partisan political process that was never going to go their way...

...because....

Your first sentence is illogical. The Democrats did what they were constitutionally permitted to do.

The Republicans first denied Trump engaged in a quid pro quo, then when evidence showed he did and more was coming, switched from denying he engaged in a quid pro quo, to a "so what" defense arguing he can without limit engage in quid pro quos.

It didn't stop there-with the exception of two Republican Senators, now the entire Republican senate would have us believe their oath to engage in a neutral impeachment process can be violated because they can use quid pro quo.

You see no irony in the fact that the very Republican supporters of Trump so quick to deny he engaged in a quid pro quo engaged in quid pro quo to abandon and abdicate their roles as US Senators they took an oath to uphild.

Better still  you portray McConnell as kicking ass. Lol.

In this prison Mitch is a  bottom boy or  beeyatch. Aint nothing kick ass about bein a butt boy BC.. WCome on down from la la land  all that koolaid drinkin and get real girl. Mitch bein someone's butt plug aint kickin ass... its given ass.

Man that smile on Mitch's face after bein plugged by Donny in prison, its down right creepy man. You worship dat? Yowza. Mitch gonna be leakin for weeks probably right up to his next election. But he probably don't care. He gonna retire and hand his suit over to some new boy stains and all.

His first statement isn’t illogical at all.  They rushed through the process in the house.  They wanted the senate to do their job for them.  That’s not the senates job. Its to vote on the evidence provided to them by the house.  Regardless, by definition there was no quid pro quo, because funds were released without any conditions.  That’s a fact.  Facts don’t care about your feelings.

Impeachment isn't popular, the Republicans will gain from Democrats bringing it back up, if the Dems do so, they do so at their own peril. The Dems can't successfully blame Senate Republicans for not doing the House Dems job for them. House Dems will suffer far more than Senate Republicans, the electorate will blame Democrats for not getting enough witnesses, not Republicans.

You are engaging in wishful thinking that this hurt Republicans and helps Democrats. Projecting your own views on the American electorate will lead to faulty analysis, and most swing voters in swing states in particular do not see impeachment the way you do. Impeachment is a loser for the Democrats.

What law did Trump break? Come on, spit it out.

The ones that appear to be the untouchable ones are the crooked Clinton's and the Biden's here. It is said that the Clinton's have been involved in many people disappearing or being murdered in the night.

Trump will be the President for another four more years. You may now want to practice on getting started on your whining and crying about Trump's win in the next election. :D

Even the lawyer Trump hires blurs the distinction between partisan and non partisan activities so he can use a charity foundation to avoid paying income taxes.

Pathetic.

All millionaires and billionaires have done the same forever. They all try to avoid paying taxes. Hello, where have you been all these decades? Pathetic indeed. I am pretty sure that you would do whatever you could to avoid paying your taxes, hmmm?
