I just learned a few weeks ago that Canada is warming up twice as fast as the rest of the world, and that the Arctic is now warmer than it was going back as far as 10000 years ago.  Wow.   This is Media reporting.  I have also heard that other countries medias are claiming them to have the fastest warming rates.  I am not a climate change denier, but really???  All of this nonsense has just got me laughing so hard.  It's like I have a bigger one than you do, or I am faster than you, or I am better than you.  Come on!  Really????  We are living in a world that seems to have come off of its mooring.  The world has seen many climate changes during the course of its history.  Politics!  Politics!  Politics!  When will it end?  The answer is Never!!!!!!

You have posted something without a cite.  It's actually pretty easy to get to the root of information and these days, it's essential.  Where did you "hear" it ?  Who is the authoritative source ?  What is their reputation ?  What organization are they from ?

Answer those questions and do so objectively.  If you think that Global Warming is a scam, you have already been duped by bad sources - just don't bother reading on the topic.  Only post your opinions.

Canada's climate change rate/risk has been hijacked for partisan political objectives, when current analysis points to far greater impact for Asia and Africa.   The CBC and other media will continue to beat the climate change drum to support their bias and agenda.   Climate change has been weaponized.

All of the countries cited are northern countries. Northern countries are warming much faster than the average. There is nothing in those statements that is contradictory. It just shows how low the level of understanding is among deniers, that basic data can just blow their minds and immediately confuse them.

By your reply, I think you must be a lefty politically.  This is my opinion.  The source as you say,  ...  It was all over Canadian Media.  Why don't you Google it.  And as I said (you have not been reading have you??)  I am not a climate denier.  If you and other climate progressives want to change something then you should be doing it where it is the most required.  China for example.  I know that Canada technology burning coal using carbon capture has actually done science to improve emmissions here in Canada, and they have actually shared this technology with the USA and China.  These guys have done 100 times more than you Lefties and the Trudeau carbon Tax which is laughable.  These are facts.

You're not a climate change denier like all the Trump supporters on this site aren't Trump supporters. Whatever happened to having courage in one's convictions?

Come'on guys.  Stop it.  It's a serious issue.  We've only got 12 years left!  That doesn't count the 10 years we had left cited 15 years ago.

Nice to see you're honest now about being a denier. You used to pretend you weren't, like you tried pretending you're not a Trump supporter.

12 years? May as well party.

The fact is, no-one knows how many years we have left because it's not going to be a binary switch.  It's going to happen over a very long time, and life is going to get much worse for a lot of people.  Not me so much, as I'll be dead.

Actually, once the Arctic ice begins to melt, the black water begins to absorb more heat from the sun that the white ice previously reflected. There is then a snowball effect that will happen relatively fast and be irreversible.

But it's sort of the opposite of a snowball, in that it's melting ice. But you get my point.

Same as the methane hydrates melting and gassing off.  It's still not going to kill everyone all at once though.  It's going to be long and painful...

Another mark of deniers I have noticed lately:

They decry the wild exaggeration in the media, of climate changes effects and then they quote said media as evidence that climate change claims are wrong.  This is double-dipping: claiming these sources provide valid 'predictions' and simultaneously decrying sources as being invalid.  Either trust a source or don't.

It must be hard to be a climate change alarmist...waking each day with more news and dread of the pending doom they fear will certainly destroy peoplekind in short order.

Far easier to be a 'denier' or 'adapter'....and party on with big V8 engines.

Climate change is an issue that breeds loonies.  Deniers are the obvious ones, but they are no more insane than those who think we are going to stop using fossil fuels and turn it around.  Protestors who think they are achieving something by blocking traffic in London are as delusional as those who think blocking pipelines in BC is making a difference.  Or paying a carbon tax will.

I was reading recently about a technology that removes CO2 from the air, and about the environmentalist who didn't like it because it might make people think it's okay to still use fossil fuels.  (As though they would stop if the technology wasn't available)  Think about the motives there.  It removes CO2 from the air, but it doesn't punish oil and gas capitalists.  So, no good.

It's always an emergency, but it's also always "not too late if we act now".  We don't act now, because we know there will always be another time when it will be "not too late if we act now".

Eventually it will be too late, and at that time people will start to look towards getting the international co-operation it would take to make a difference.  But it will be too late, and they'll have to fight instead.

The thing I fear most about climate change/global warming is the steady onslaught of rising taxes and the cost of living.Perhaps the world should keep a close eye on Al Gore and his activities/lifestyle choices. How many of you truly believe people like Ocasio-Cortez and her assertion that the world will end in 12yrs? Really?

It's already too late, and more resources will be allocated to adaptation than GHG emissions reduction.   Carbon sequestration was demonstrated by Canada/USA during the Bush administration, but abandoned.

Competition for resources (fighting) will continue just as it always has....nothing special about the climate change religion or those who worship at that alter.

Absolutely.  You forgot the bit about dying, but I can't disagree with you.

Edit>  Actually, you did mention competition.  My bad.
