Is this really racism

Nobody needs to defend her really. Its perfect ok to be a racist as long as you don't harm others. I could say I wanted an Albanian doctor with gigantic tits if I want... thing is people can just tell me to go pound sand... The important thing is that the government does not enable this, or give these people the right to demand it.

Society is packed full of people like this. Discrimination of literally every kind is somewhat of a human "norm".  Increasingly people find it ugly and that's a good thing, but just about every does it in some way.

Is Albanian really necessary?

A woman in Ontario goes into a clinic and asks for a white doctor. The request for one apparently failed and she eventually left. The incident was put on Facebook. CTV news got wind of this, and actually were able to track this woman down and found out where she lived. Wow? The liberal media actually took the time and bother to go track her down because, hey, we may just have found ourselves a racist story here to report and decided that this white woman needs to be put in her place. How dare a white woman ask for a white doctor. Anyway they approached her residence but she would not answer her door, and rightly so. Those so-called left wing liberal fake reporters were there to make trouble for this woman, and nothing more because here in Canuckistan to be a racist is worse than being a radical muslim terrorist. I wonder if an Asian wanted to see an Asian doctor would this have become the big racist story of the day? I doubt it very much. The far left fake liberal media in Canada are only really concerned about reporting on anything a white Christian straight conservative may say that would appear to be a racist comment. Then  the phony media go into action, and try to make a mountain out of a mole hill, and the world must hear about this. I am surprised that it hasn't made headlines in America or Europe yet. I see nothing wrong with this woman asking for a white doctor. It does not have to mean that she is a racist but that she for whatever reason preferred to see a white doctor. The benefit of the doubt must be given to her. As we all should know by now the media of course was trying to look for the racist side of the event, and nothing more. Pathetic losers.

I went to a specialist 25 years ago, who happened to be a black doctor from Africa who was very difficult to understand.  He treated me like s__t and it was the worst experience I ever had with a doctor in my life.  I never went back to him and chose to drive 400 km and stay overnight in another city to see another specialist instead after that.  I don't think the problem had anything to do with his skin colour, but it was his incredibly shocking attitude.  Nobody deserves to be treated like that by a doctor.

Yeah, the best doctor I ever had was a Pakistani who spoke better english than I do, but the next time I phone my cable company, I better get someone who does the same.

And what evidence do you have that the woman in question was treated that way?

Ok, so tell me then, Is it racist for a black person to request a black doctor, lawyer, councellor, police officer to assist them?

Yes it is, but thats ok. All they are doing is requesting something. I would be sexist for me to want a girlfriend with huge breasts, low self esteem, and no gag reflex too... But... Uhhhh never mind.

Is it racist for a black group to not allow white people at their rally, or for blacks to ask whites to leave their school or house of worship?

Yes thats certainly racist. Whether its "ok" or not depends. Is the rally on public property? If so, forcibly removing white people would be assault, or even kidnapping. Does the school receive even one single penny of tax payer funding? If they do, its not ok to discriminate based on race. Is the place of worship tax exempt? If it IS then its not ok.

Is a woman a bigot for wanting a female doctor...or Lawyer?

She may or may not be. In any case its a private citizen entering into a voluntary contract with another. Its totally ok in my view for her to shop for a female practitioner or barrister. If she wants legal aid though or is showing up at a public hospital, shes free to request what she wants but cannot demand anything.

Is it OK for the gays to kick non gays out of their parade?

Where is the parade? Is it on public land or on property that receives tax exemptions or any form of subsidy? If it is then forcibly removing non gays again is assault, or even kidnapping.

It really depends on the context for all these questions. If this woman's discrimination had manifested itself in her trying to find a white GP, there would have been no problem at all.

Keep in mind, these are my own VIEWS... Not necessarily the law as it stands.

No, but if I want that, and I can try to find it. I cant go into a private or public institution and demand it though.

I can discriminate!

And if I owned a private medical clinic and a white woman told me she would be more comfortable seeing another white women - And I could provide that with no inconvenience to myself or my staff, then I would probably assign her to a white women. Why not? If she starts making demands though Id boot her ass out of my establishment.

If you know a particular doctor in the clinic is gay, is it racist to bigoted to request a different doctor if there are more than one?

Why would you know they are Gay? And why would it matter? Would you be the type of person that would feel uncomfortable being in a change room with a gay person?

I don't think anyone is denying that people have their preferences for who gives them vital care.

But in the OP's story, they were in a Walk-In Clinic. A place you go when you want medical treatment without an appointment but don't need to go to an ER. To be picky about the race of a doctor at a Walk-In Clinic is very entitled. And to have a public tantrum about that is in very poor tasted indeed.

Why? Do you feel they're going to come on to you?

I guess it's they same as a woman being in a change room with a heterosexual male.  They might.  Or she might.  Maybe he would be the one uncomfortable with the situation.

No.  Patients have rights and should be treated with dignity.  They are not there for the benefit of doctors or staff.  People should be treated with respect in spite of their idiosyncrasies.

Yup, you are in a position to demand absolutely nothing. To to simply "request"? Mehhhhh.... not the end of the world.

The woman in question asked for a white doctor.  The request was denied because the patient is not treated with dignity or respect but is just another number to be processed.

The liberal media love this kind of thing where they can put the spotlight on anyone or anything that might be interpreted as racism or bigotry.

Or maybe the Clinic she choose to visit had no white doctors in that day. Who's obligation is it to ensure every Walk-In Clinic in the country is staffed by a white doctor?

She is basing her request on a persons race. I suppose she has the right to do so but of course that is racist. Doesn't mean people have to accommodate her wish however. Our doctor is Indian. Great guy who is really interested in his patient's ongoing health and loves explaining stuff if you show you are interested.

This is why political correctness must go. It interferes with people and what should be their right to say what they want to say without the threat of big brother coming along and wanting to fine or jail the individual. If it appears racist or offends someone's feelings well walk away then. If I don't like the CBC well don't watch it. It's that simple.

Yes this is really racism. What amazes me is that people who make a personal choice to openly practice racism get so upset when people identify it as racism. Either do it or don't do it, but don't do it and then deny it! Embrace your racism! Lol

Aren't you the guy who said he harasses women wearing hijabs in shopping malls?

BTW, they told her she could have a white doctor at 4pm. She didn't want to wait, and made a big scene.

(1)You can call it racism all you want, but I will not. Racism to one might not appear racist to another.

(2)Show me as to where I have said this? Are you one of those far left liberals who likes to put words in other peoples mouths? Go ahead.

(3)So, if that is the case then why didn't the liberal media say this instead of trying to make a mountain out of a mole hill, and make an azz of themselves once again? This just shows as to how the leftist media works. Put in or leave out words that suits their purpose.
