-TSS- Posted April 22, 2017 Report Posted April 22, 2017 Kim himself is a mascot and a puppet. The generals of the NK-army are the real rulers of the country. Quote

The US is the one that introduced nuclear arms to the Korean peninsula in violation of the armistice agreement. You guys absolutely hate facts, the truth. Edited April 23, 2017 by hot enough Quote

xul Posted April 24, 2017 Report Posted April 24, 2017 From this photo, I seems like in DPRK nobody dare to tell the truth to the fat boy. It will be a problem Quote
Hydraboss Posted April 25, 2017 Report Posted April 25, 2017 Imagine what those karate chop-chop-chops could do to a Tomahawk moving at 890km/h. The US won't know what hit them. DogOnPorch Posted April 25, 2017 Report Posted April 25, 2017 Anti-ship technology is reaching a new height putting into question the value of the super carrier over the smaller jeep carrier. The US couldn't afford to lose the USS Ford...the USS America, however...perhaps. Quote Nothing cracks a turtle like Leon Uris.
Hydraboss Posted April 25, 2017 Report Posted April 25, 2017 DoP, my question then would be does NK have that kind of technology at it's disposal? They aren't slouches no matter the MSM portrayal. Range would be the issue. How close can the carrier come? That hasn't changed since Coral Sea. Quote Nothing cracks a turtle like Leon Uris.
Hydraboss Posted April 25, 2017 Report Posted April 25, 2017 That and the fact that the USS Michigan is now in play. Anyone who thinks what the US has on top of the water is dangerous really should look into Ohio class subs. DogOnPorch Posted April 25, 2017 Report Posted April 25, 2017 USS Michigan is an older Ohio class...a conversion to SSGN from Boomer. Interesting. BC might know more. Quote Nothing cracks a turtle like Leon Uris.
Hydraboss Posted April 25, 2017 Report Posted April 25, 2017 I'm more interested in the 154 boom sticks it's carrying than the conversion actually. bush_cheney2004 Posted April 25, 2017 Report Posted April 25, 2017 (edited) SSGN-727 to Pusan has been done before, along with other SSGNs as a show of force, as with China in 2010. USS Ohio, Michigan, and Florida were purposely surfaced in the region for Chinese satellite selfies. http://content.time.com/time/nation/article/0,8599,2002378,00.html Edited April 25, 2017 by bush_cheney2004 1 Quote Economics trumps Virtue.

ZenOps Posted July 1, 2017 Report Posted July 1, 2017 North Korean hate of the US is well founded. The US really had no reason to try and "pacify" North Korea. If it was simply to stop the flow of "communism" why did the US do absolutely nothing to stop the takeover of Crimea? Probably cuz - White. The approximate 1 million civilian deaths and maybe a hundred thousand or so military casualties on North Korean soil is pretty hard to justify. Without doubt the US was an external agitator. One could definitely argue, what the hell was the US doing on the other side of the planet anyhow? Testing out their new aircraft carriers I guess. What concerns me more than the nuke, is that Kim now probably has bred a couple grams of polonium from underground nuclear testing. Aersolized, one gram of it dispersed in a city core could destroy it for 168 years as no one would dare stay in the area if they ingested a few nanograms of it. Quote
SpankyMcFarland Posted July 4, 2017 Report Posted July 4, 2017 There would appear to be an increasing risk of serious conflict here but not as much alarm as you'd expect, especially from the Chinese. If I was Japanese, I'd prefer to have my own nukes to rely on. Quote
SpankyMcFarland Posted July 4, 2017 Report Posted July 4, 2017 (edited) Trump's tweets sound like he wants some other country to sort this out: http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2017/07/03/trump-tweets-angry-response-to-north-korean-missile-launch.html Not very reassuring for SK or Japan.
