Scott Mayers Posted September 12, 2016 Report Posted September 12, 2016 In reading an article on him years ago, he does not shake hands. It struck me because as a germanphobe I actually admire that and wish I knew how to do that without looking awkward, but to get back to your point - no he doesn't. He awkwardly even shook one of the celebrities' hands on his "Apprentice" show I recall. You notice that you said, "germanphobe" right? The spell checker doesn't correct it and why I took that out for being uncertain. I think a politician might have to be forced to NOT shake hands or have direct contact if only for the potential risks....especially when some will inevitably use this as a tactic to harm others. BC_chick Posted September 12, 2016 Report Posted September 12, 2016 I had pneumonia when I was much younger. I couldn't get out of bed for three days, was barely conscious for two of those days, and missed a full week of work because I was just that weak. Of course it could be, and hopefully she is not suffering from anything serious. Not because I think she is a better candidate than someone who can replace her, but because I truly feel bad for her and her family. Having said that, I think there are just too many coincidences to believe the official story. It's looking very bad for her at this point. Even if it turns out to be true, the fact that she was so secretive about it is going to do damage to her campaign. It would make sense for them not to shake hands but I could've sworn I've seen McCain, Obama and Romney shaking hands with voters and a quick Google search did confirm that. And good catch, I'm not a germanphobe, lol. I'm on an iPad. Quote It's kind of the worst thing that any humans could be doing at this time in human history. Other than that, it's fine." -TSS- Posted September 12, 2016 Report Posted September 12, 2016 At least she certainly has access to the best possible medical treatment. If her doctor's can't get her well nobody can. Quote
?Impact Posted September 12, 2016 Report Posted September 12, 2016 The sickest time I have had in my adult life was when my children were young and entering school. I think there is a lot to say about the Japanese practice of greeting* someone with a bow. I don't blame Trump for being a germaphobe, he hasn't taken it to the extreme like Howard Hughes and live as a recluse. *similar to a handshake, a bow is often used for saying hello and goodbye. It is also used to thank, apologize, or congratulate. Probably the main difference is a bow also works in a group setting, where a handshake is obviously only one on one. Quote
betsy Posted September 12, 2016 Report Posted September 12, 2016 You are right, she is copying the Trump style of campaigning. But Trump doesn't have the health issues that's being said about Hillary. Furthermore, Trump is like Harper. No love lost between him and the press. Quote
betsy Posted September 12, 2016 Report Posted September 12, 2016 (edited) No, syncope. While it is difficult to tell much from the video, I doubt if she was having a seizure she would have been slumped on the pylon first. Earlier today it was 61%. http://www.cnn.com/specials/politics/predict When this health thing blows over either she will be back at 70% where she belongs or someone like Joe Biden will be at 75%. Hal 9000 Posted September 12, 2016 Report Posted September 12, 2016 Ok, so lets put aside the lies, the litany of scandals, the pay to play, Benghazi, mysterious deaths and all the other things that would make every other politician in the free world ineligible to run a democratic country. Her health; what we know is this, she won't travel with media. She has her handlers carrying auto injector syringes (and at the ready), she travels with a medical team, Leaked emails show she has been researching Parkinson's medication...also emails on how to deal with confusion, top doctors including doctor Drew are all worried that she has brain damage, Parkinsons or rare types of dementia (which come with bouts of pneumonia). Her medical records show very serious symptoms of something bad or even terminal. She has cancelled more events than she's attended and most that she's attended were small affairs. She has continual coughing fits and periods of weakness that are largely unsatisfactorily explained. Now, most supporters will write of the medical records as fake, and talk about right leaning doctors who are instilling fear, but c'mon people (Hillary people) have a look for yourselves. This woman has some serious neurological issues - ones that won't be going away, but will progressively worsen - and fast. The Democrats know this and are playing the public for fools. Every one of them from Obama on down know she is terminally ill and are still lying about it. What is gonna happen when the truth eventually comes out - and it will. Are we gonna watch this woman quickly deteriorate in front our eyes or is the plan to have her win (yay! first woman), then get the diagnosis and (wink wink) have to step down. At this rate, she can't last till next summer let alone 4 years. You people might elect the first woman president, but lets face it, she'll never be able to govern a country. Hal 9000 Posted September 12, 2016 Report Posted September 12, 2016 But you will agree that she simply cannot govern the United States in the condition she's in - right? So, is the end game one of sympathy; "lets grant her one last wish and vote her in as president"? Are they gonna let it go on for a while and drop her in favour of Biden (what I think they should do), ride it out until Kaine has to take over? You're always talking about Canadians interest in US politics seemingly thinking we're somehow envious of your country - What the democrats are doing is a fracking joke - and a bad one at that. This is truly embarrassing that they would stump for a woman who is clearly in major distress and should be treating a very real problem. Was it heat or pneumonia? I'm not sure they got that figured out yet, but then again, they never took her to a hospital which is what they would normally do for a presidential candidate - I would think. No, they took her somewhere close and private, administered whatever medication she needed, rested, borrowed some shoes and was back to normal - for at least long enough for a photo op.
