So true that the MSM hates seeing that Trump is able to get the truth out, and they are not able to stop it. Boo-hoo on them. They love his tweets. Some days his tweets give them material for a whole day's news, even more. Colbert said last night that Trump is providing him with too much material and they are having a hard time deciding what not to use.. Quote "Never trust a man who has not a single redeeming vice". He just kicked everybody including the AG out of the office so he could be alone with Comey. Which we know now cause Comey to ask never to be left alone with Trump again. And I bet it was more than just the legal inappropriateness that could have caused that reaction Just having to listen to Trump blather out that something "is going to be wonderful, so wonderful I tell ya, it's just gonna be yuuugely wonderful" 18 times would drive anybody nuts. 1 Quote

blackbird Posted June 8, 2017 Report Posted June 8, 2017 (edited) Just looked at some of Donald Trump's Twitter postings. Fascinating stuff. . He has been a member of Twitter since March 2009. He has 31.9 million followers. His account has received 35,000 tweets, counting his tweets and responses I believe. Anyone can tweet a response to his tweets. He made quite a few tweets on June 6. He sometimes quotes or links in a Fox News item. Great stuff. Great that people can reply and read what others say. Edited June 8, 2017 by blackbird Quote
blackbird Posted June 8, 2017 Report Posted June 8, 2017 (edited) On June 4, Donald Trump tweeted "we must stop being politically correct and get down to the business of security for our people. If we don't get smart, it will only get worse." . Edited June 8, 2017 by blackbird Quote
blackbird Posted June 8, 2017 Report Posted June 8, 2017 (edited) If interested you can watch Trump's weekly address on Twitter (video and sound). It is 3 mins 44 secs long and is a summary of his trip to the middle east, Rome, and NATO. https://twitter.com/realdonaldtrump Edited June 8, 2017 by blackbird Quote

I'm not surprised he would tweet stuff about Fox, they kind of have each other in their pockets. Unfortunately for Trump he tends to contradict his own staff, or even himself with his silly tweets. Often he seems to be mad that other media picks up all those foibles and of course show them, and so he just spirals down even more into the rabbit hole. Anybody who has watched him trying to make a speech and allows himself to go off script he simply throws out a few " it's going to be great, so great" and basically says nothing. He should take the advice of his own staff and leave the tweeter account alone. Quote

Because some liberal or dem doesn't like it. He's too popular and too many followers on Twitter to quit. It's his way of speaking to his base directly. Quote

Of course he's popular on that "idiot box" because of his base. But overall he has the lowest approval rating of nearly any new term president in US history. And getting up at 0 dark 30 and sending out "cavfefe" is only making it worse. Quote

Trump said in a tweet on June 6 " The FAKE MSM is working so hard trying to get me not to use Social Media. They hate that I can get the honest and unfiltered message out. " 44,000 liked that tweet. He is probably the first President to keep millions of his followers in the loop through social media and they appreciate it greatly. MSM hates it because they can't control the message. No what he hates is the fact most people see the numerous faults in what he tweets, especially when it is contradictory of either his own previous tweets, or what his own people are saying. His base doesn't seem to either care, or they just don't get it. What he should do I guess is maybe have a private account that only his 30 some % base can receive. It would maybe save him a lot of embarrassment. Quote

Omni Posted June 8, 2017 Report Posted June 8, 2017 I guess Trump's lawyer must have wrenched Trump's phone from his hands and told him to keep to hell away from tweeter, especially while Commey was testifying. It would have been interesting to have the eloquence of Comey's testimony peppered with Trump's childish blurts. It was embarrassing enough for the Donald. I imagine the closed door hearing that is happening just now is really interesting. Just waiting for his lawyer to speak. Quote
