Smallc Posted December 21, 2015 Report Posted December 21, 2015 Apparently, we don't need any oil any more. Quote
PIK Posted December 21, 2015 Report Posted December 21, 2015 These people need to be charged with terrorism offences, and a example made out of them. This eco terrorism must be stopped. Shut it off! :-) So you'd be okay with me going to your house and shutting off the natural gas or oil input line right? You can get by without heating? I assume you're also prepared to walk or ride a bicycle wherever you go, so as to not use fossil fuels. The protesters should be sued by Enrbidge, presuming they have any kind of assets at all. Then a good, solid electric fence around the site to kill anyone who tries to get in should be installed. Big Guy Posted December 21, 2015 Report Posted December 21, 2015 A brave and expensive move. jacee Posted December 21, 2015 Author Report Posted December 21, 2015 (edited) Reversing Enbridge and Big Oil's pipeline plans Big Oil is furious at a small community in Maine (South Portland) that has dared to throw a legal monkey wrench into their pipeline plans. ... There is a lot of crude in Canada looking for a way to reach the water right now, Fielden said. Another problem for dilbit ... and Line 9. . Edited December 21, 2015 by jacee Quote

kimmy Posted December 22, 2015 Report Posted December 22, 2015 Don't want it? Shut it off! :-) Do you guys really want a society where disputes are settled by breaking into private property and disrupting lawfully-conducted business? Or does that only apply to causes you agree with? Will you be as excited when anti-abortion activists do the same? Anti-windpower activists? How about when anti-radiowave activists manage to shut down cell-phone service in your area? -k Quote (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻ Friendly forum facilitator! ┬──┬◡ノ(° -°ノ)

This country is getting to expensive for the average person to live and it is only going to get worse. Oil companies need to be charged with eco-terrorism every time a pipe breaks or an oil rig goes BOOM. The tarsands alone are very detrimental to the environment. Quote
GostHacked Posted December 22, 2015 Report Posted December 22, 2015 Do you guys really want a society where disputes are settled by breaking into private property and disrupting lawfully-conducted business? -k That is assuming everything the company is doing, is on the up and up. Which is something I doubt. I don't really approve of this myself, but if the authorities cannot help, then you start to help yourself. Quote

Smallc Posted December 22, 2015 Report Posted December 22, 2015 Based on what? What reason do you have to believe Enbridge is breaking the law? Yeah, there seems to be a great deal of assumption without a great deal of evidence. It seems to be a common theme with this subject. Quote

I support the right of that Nun (jailbird) to protest outside clinics, as long as she doesn't try to stop legal abortions. I also support the right of Eco Warriors to protest outside pipelines, as long as they don't stop legal oil. Same kinda thing. Edited December 22, 2015 by bcsapper Quote
