Goddess Posted May 3, 2017 Report Posted May 3, 2017 I'm curious - Is there a word for the bigotry of Muslims towards Westerners? Or are we saying that doesn't exist? Is there a study being done about the rise in crimes against Canadians by Muslims? Because as the Muslim population in our town grew, so did incidents of Muslims slapping, kicking, throwing objects at, verbal abuse, etc directed at Westerners. We also didn't get a hotline for reporting the incidents. Although I did report once to the RCMP when I had an object thrown at my head and required stitches. Could it be that bigotry is a 2-way street? I don't disagree, but how many of these crimes involve actual assault? Most are mischief, which is almost certainly graffiti, and making mouth noises. And since we're talking, in your cite, about 45 incidents, in all likelihood there's maybe two or three assaults across the entire country. Is that really something to get all that concerned about? Hell, there were 37 against Catholics! Is anyone starting up hotlines for anxious Catholics to call into? I'm also ok with breaking out hate crimes by severity to determine what is actually happening though I doubt the government does this. Looks like someone has a new patronizing catch phrase ! It made the local news but I doubt it was on the national news coast to coast.
