Rape is a very real and violent act towards women.

This is an interesting definition of rape. Are you suggesting that men and non-gender binary individuals cannot be raped?

I doubt it.

Do you misinterpret intentionally to create argument where none exists?

I doubt she meant that.

As soon as I posted it I knew I should have corrected it but seriously it wasn't worth the extra effort. I'm pretty sure most people know including me that rape occurs on males, females, and any other beings.

I love to see a young girl go out and grab the world by the lapels. Life's a bitch. You've got to go out and kick ass. - Maya Angelou

Who cares if you defend your buddy after saying something incredibly offensive.

You work for the public sector and firing people just doesn't happen very often!!!

I wonder if this will create outrage.

An engineer who was fired from Hydro One after defending the on-air sexual harassment of a reporter, has been rehired.

Last May, CityNews reporter Shauna Hunt confronted fans allegedly plotting to shout“F--- her right in the p----” into her microphone outside of a Toronto FC game. While a camera rolled, Shawn Simoes came to their defence.

“It is f---ing hilarious,” he exclaimed with a grin. His comments lost him his job at Hydro One, where the engineer earned more than $100,000 a year.

Shauna Hunt confirmed via her Twitter account that Hydro One let her know in advance that he had been rehired.

In an e-mailed statement, a Hydro One spokesperson confirmed that the rehiring came after an arbitration process.

“Hydro One made its views very clear,” the spokesperson said. “We will not comment any further.”

Not sure but I hope a few others caught the FHRITP during the last election night coverage on CBC.

Wow, I bet that was really edifying. I'm sure disappointed that I missed what was surely a milestone moment in Canadian journalism.
