poochy Posted March 15, 2015 Report Posted March 15, 2015 (edited) That's not what she said. Yea, she hasn't actually said anything other than 'more women', which leaves us wondering why women need to be artificially injected into the forum at least more so than anyone else is, rather than finding it and joining it on their own. So if you can't actually provide real, tangible reasons, for wanting more women beyond just the more, it leaves people to guess. That guessing would include why women would only find a politics forum if it could be found by searching for, "women in politics" which has little to do with a political forum, rather than just politics. But hey, im sorry, i know im talking logic and reason here, i dont expect you to understand. Edited March 15, 2015 by poochy Quote

WWWTT Posted March 16, 2015 Report Posted March 16, 2015 I guess I have given up. Ya I don't think this web site is going to ever change much. The biggest change will be is when it shuts down permanently. I give it to 2016 some time. I tried throwing in something that I thought would help expand it. But I'm thinking that Greg, the owner of this site, is dead set against this site verging away from a mainly Canadian political site. WWWTT Quote Maple Leaf Web is now worth $720.00! Down over $1,500 in less than one year! Total fail of the moderation on this site! That reminds me, never ask Greg to be a business partner! NEVER!

Charles Anthony Posted March 16, 2015 Report Posted March 16, 2015 What is going on here? Why is her point so difficult for you guys to understand?-- because she is avoiding saying what she wants people to do. Understanding her point is actually irrelevent if only she would say what physical changes she wants made to the forum. Nobody needs to understand her point if she gave clear instructions that could be followed. Quote We do not have time for a meeting of the flat earth society. << Où sont mes amis ? guyser Posted March 16, 2015 Report Posted March 16, 2015 Back in January of 2014 , on the very first page, clear instructions were given to improve the forum. Subsequent pages came after the fact reiterating the same thing. January of 2014. ....that would be 15 months ago. March 16th, 2015 and we are told that if clear intructions (are?) were given, they would be followed. Wonder how that works? So WCR , best to check back at the end of May 2016 and perhaps something might be done. But lets be honest , not a damn chance of it. Quote
Guest Posted March 16, 2015 Report Posted March 16, 2015 What is going on here? Why is her point so difficult for you guys to understand? It's not difficult to understand at all. Do you interpret disagreement or lack of enthusiasm as difficulty in understanding her point? Quote

Charles Anthony Posted March 17, 2015 Report Posted March 17, 2015 She gave them. Several times in fact.Forgive me but she was asked many times to offer explanations for her cluttered idea. Her idea is not very good and that much should be obvious on the face of it. She is asking for the forum to be a structural and aesthetic mess. I dare Charles to start a few new sections on women and politics. Is this how you want it to appear? I think it looks cluttered and silly. I just do not see the point. My suggestion of tagging posts related to women would address your new concern over search engines. What is next? research sub-forums for the disabled, homosexuals and orphans? Cultural sensitivity sub-forums too for the above groups? The list of sub-forums could be endless. It is better to tag your own posts which you can already do. Bonam Posted March 17, 2015 Report Posted March 17, 2015 (edited) Is this how you want it to appear? Doubt it. Presumably, the way to do it would be to add one more forum alongside the others in the "off-topic" area: Arts and Culture Health, Science, and Technology Business and Economy Travel, Leisure, and Sports Media and Broadcasting Women's Issues (or some related name) Also, it would probably be better to rename the "off-topic discussions" to something more appropriate, since most of the discussions aren't really "off topic". Perhaps just "Other Topics" for lack of a better term. Edited March 17, 2015 by Bonam Quote

Do we artificially inject religious people into the forum by having a section for religious discussion? Quote

GostHacked Posted March 17, 2015 Report Posted March 17, 2015 The less clutter the better. If someone wants to make a topic about women specifically, they are free to do it in the forums under the appropriate heading for the thread. Nothing preventing them from doing so. Quote

It is better to tag your own posts which you can already do. This isn't even worth responding to. It is an attack on a suggestion for an improvement to increase membership. You are taking this suggestion personally as far as I can tell. I can't see the list of sub-forums being endless when there aren't that many active posters making suggestions. I really don't give a dam anymore. I'm done offering suggestions to improve this site. Go with the tags! You should probably respect the posters here who comment in this section instead of ridiculing and showing little regard for concerns that are posted in this section. Members post here because they give a dam about this forum. Because of that, show a little respect. Quote I love to see a young girl go out and grab the world by the lapels. Life's a bitch. My suggestion of tagging posts related to women would address your new concern over search engines. I just saw this, however if you think it looks cluttered and silly, who am I say otherwise! For now, I will post topics in the original categories with an emphasis on the title of thread if it pertains to women I will admit though, it does look silly because it looks like an afterthought towards women. Just like the suggestion of 'women's issues'. My original suggestion was categories on their own, I think. I can't even find my original post anymore.
