  1. When it comes to limits on free speech, I usually defer to the 'yelling fire in a crowded theatre' example. There has to be limits. Do not encourage violence towards others or promote hate. However, what constitutes hate speech is debatable. If one points out that there may be evidence that suggests that people of a certain faith may be more prone to violent acts, is that hate speech? Or if certain people are responsible for more crimes, is that hate speech even if the statistics back up that assertion?

  3. In Gaza, bomb making is by far the biggest part of their economy.
  4. Champion of democracy and civilization? I guess you missed the part where people in some European countries are being arrested for speaking their mind?
  5. There is a worldwide epidemic of people inflicted with TDS?
  6. 1999- Three former Warsaw Pact members were admitted into NATO: The Czech Republic (formerly Czechoslovakia) Hungary Poland 2004- 2004 brought the largest increase in NATO members since the Alliance’s foundation. Perhaps even more notable, though, is republics formerly of the Soviet Union were now joining (Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania). Bulgaria (formerly of the Warsaw Pact) Estonia Latvia Lithuania Romania (formerly of the Warsaw Pact) Slovakia Slovenia (successor to Yugoslavia) 2009- In 2009, NATO’s foothold in East Europe grew firmer: Albania (formerly of the Warsaw Pact) Croatia (successor to Yugoslavia) 2017 and 2020-Montenegro, North Macedonia NATO was expanding well before Russia invaded Ukraine
  7. He's not backing Putin. He is trying to end the war. Putin invading Ukraine doesn't make me happy in any way. You should also consider the Russian perspective, as in the continuing expansion of NATO in Europe. U.S. Secretary of State James Baker’s famous “not one inch eastward” assurance about NATO expansion in his meeting with Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev on February 9, 1990, was part of a cascade of assurances about Soviet security given by Western leaders to Gorbachev and other Soviet officials throughout the process of German unification in 1990 and on into 1991, according to declassified U.S., Soviet, German, British and French documents posted today by the National Security Archive at George Washington University They said they would not expand to the east if the Russians agreed to German reunification. Russia did agree but the West did not honour it's side of the deal. I am no fan of Russia or Putin but every side has it's own different perspective.
  8. It's not a matter of me being fine with it or not, I'm just stating a fact. Do you have the same level of animosity towards Bill Clinton for his deferments? I don't know that I would call myself one of Trump's biggest supporters. I do think he was a much better choice than Harris. Trump will get some things right and he'll get some things wrong. I'll praise him or criticize him on a case by case basis.
  9. That kind of thing is not unique to just Trump or one side of the political aisle.
  10. Really? American draft dodgers were grabbed off the streets and crammed into waiting vans? Or was there a slower legal process that they went through?
  11. You mean like when they sold out Afghanistan and handed it back to the Taliban? Progressives didn't protest about that at all.
  12. Were you this fired up back in 2014 when Russia annexed Crimea? Or were you perfectly fine with that action?
  13. The DRAFT and volunteering aren't really the same thing as the (Ukraine) government going around and grabbing young men off the street.
  14. So this is what's happening to the future generation in Ukraine now. It is likely the exact same for Russia. https://www.theweek.in/news/world/2025/03/02/watch-viral-cctv-video-shows-ukrainian-soldiers-abducting-youth-walking-his-dog-for-military-recruitment-to-fight-russia-war.html What happens when the available pool of young men gets smaller and smaller? Progressives think this is the best path instead of trying to end the war?
  15. It also doesn't change the fact that if Carney wins, nothing is going to change for Canadians. The Liberals will stay the course and people won't connect the dots on why we'll still have all those problems.
  16. Well before Trump was elected, Canadians were facing serious issues with housing, health care, mass immigration, rising crime, the high cost of living. A massive increase in federal debt. We are still facing those same issues today although it seems some Canadians think these problems will be solved with the guy that has been advising Trudeau for years.
  17. You didn't even mention the actual Liberal record from 2015 to the present? Why is that? Can't you put a positive spin on it?
  18. If you were trying to sell us on why we should vote for any of these people, what would you say?
  19. Hey, Trudeau could be pretty nasty in his own right. Just ask any of his female cabinet members who dared to question his decisions.
  20. Gosh, I wonder if the Biden's were ever connected to Russian money?🤨
  21. Sounds to me like you've already fallen for 'Mr. Sunny Ways!; 2.0 A great analogy I heard regarding Carney replacing Trudeau, is like someone crapping their pants and then proceeding to change their shirt.
