The thumb on the scales, the deck stacked, it's all laid out in Rigged by Mollie Hemingway. I listened to the audio version last week and it's a miracle that the Republicans still actually came close to pulling off a legitimate win given that most of the rules were stacked against them not to mention the widespread weakening of ballot security in so many states. Marc Elias is the go to guy for the Democrats. He files lawsuits left, right and center. You see, Democrats are allowed to challenge everything and anything without fear of pushback. Even with the US in pretty bad shape now thanks largely to Biden's handlers it should not come as a surprise if they hold onto the majority or even increase it in the coming midterm elections. Keep mailing out millions and millions of mail-in ballots with the out of date voter rolls. No signature verification needed. Kick out Republican observers and then keep counting. Well for any white person that goes for an interview for any kind of Public Service job they should be asking themselves "I wonder if they hire white people?" Visible minorities in the government - Canadian Government Jobs

Right. I should have been more clear that it was some high-up ultra woke bureaucrat in the Trudeau government that actually hired this guy, without any vetting, for a job that isn't necessary . I don't want a dictator. I don't want any leader that even has a hint of authoritarianism. I don't want to be told what I can and can't say. I don't want some pampered virtue signaling lightweight as my leader either. These are just some of the reasons I don't support or like (not hate) Justin Trudeau.

A really great read is Mollie Hemingway's "Rigged". Just finished the audio version and it's an eye opener. The title is perfectly accurate too. She debunks many of the lies perpetrated by the MSM, many of which continue to show up here on a regular basis. One prime example was the claim that Trump asked the Georgia Secretary of State to "find 11,000 votes". The quote was deceptively edited and the Washington Post did print a retraction much much later, and it was buried. Massive WaPo retraction: Trump did not ask Georgia to "find the votes" (independentsentinel.com) In other news, it's great that the biggest financial supporter of the haphazard Wuhan Virology lab is retiring. But he'll still be in the headlines and he'll continue to make appearances on CNN and the like. If you watch this short video you'll realize what a miserable, lying SOB this man is.

Trudeau hired an anti-racism consultant to fight racism in the media?? What racism? The Canadian Media Advocacy Centre (CMAC) got something like $130,000 handed to them but it didn't work out so well. Just another idiotic handout to an unnecessary BS special interest group. Turns out the guy was a raging anti Semite . Liberal government cuts funding, suspends anti-racism group's project after tweets | CBC News

Count me in as a Tulsi supporter. She really stands out in the current Democratic party in that she seems quite reasonable but that alone would prevent them from letting her advance. There was actually a time when the Democrats were pretty reasonable, at least compared to Joe Biden's handlers. Bill Clinton oversaw a pretty strong economy even while he was womanizing most of the time. Bill is almost considered extreme now by ultra-woke Democratic standards. Tulsi is the only person that comes to mind off the top of my head. That party has gone full-on Bernie Sanders crazy since Joe's handlers took over.

BC Liberal MLA fired after retweeting misinformation
ironstone replied to herbie's topic in Provincial Politics in Canada
I thought for a second that you were going to put in a "HOW DARE YOU!" into your post. The the plan from the left for climate change is only huge hikes in taxes and wind and solar, that's about it. -
I can't fault you for being an optimist. Joe claims inflation is now zero. Well not exactly. CNN Says Biden Recession Is Like Getting 'A $100-A-Month Raise' (thefederalist.com) The Gun control bill is passed: crime has been skyrocketing although it's primarily in Democratic run cities to be fair. Climate change bill is likely the usual smoke and mirrors stuff. More wind and solar, much higher prices for Americans. The infrastructure bill? Wow there is quite a lot in there and a lot of it has nothing to do with infrastructure. As with many gigantic government initiatives there will be an astronomical amount of waste built in. 9 examples of unrelated waste and partisan spending in Biden’s $2 trillion ‘infrastructure’ plan | The Maine Wire Jobs and low unemployment? There is more to the story. Biden Brags on New Jobs Report, But Here's the Ugly Part He Left Out (westernjournal.com) The CHIPS act is a small step in the right direction and he (Biden's handlers) deserve credit but it is not a complete solution yet. CHIPS Act Won't Fix America's Shortage of Foreign STEM Talent (reason.com) As for the ACA it has issues as well. The ACA is an excellent case in point. Barack Obama and his allies saw a problem: some people can't afford or qualify for medical insurance. But instead of investigating how market forces might currently be thwarted from addressing this problem, they used government (the blunt weapon of aggressive force) to decree that insurance companies — which are already largely creatures of the state — must accept all applicants regardless of their health (guaranteed issue) and must charge the unhealthy the same price as they charge the healthy (community rating); that is, premiums may not reflect actual risk, converting insurance into a covert transfer program. Of course, in accord with the economic rule that you can never do just one thing, the matter could not be left there. If the young and healthy were going to subsidize the already sick, they would have to be forced to buy coverage at inflated prices; otherwise they would put off buying insurance until they got sick. (The current low penalty for not buying coverage can be expected to rise in the future.) And bureaucrats would have to set minimum standards, or else the mandate would be a mere formality. Thus, regardless of an applicant's preferences or situation, all coverage must include, among other things, maternity and "mental health" benefits and "free" preventative services (which means no one knows precisely who pays for them). Insurance policies may not have caps on the total dollar value of benefits, but this may not be reflected in the price.

You have a gift for understatement. For years the world was told by MSM newscasters, newspapers, late night talk show hosts that Trump was: an agent for Putin, a puppet of Putin, Putin's bitch, actively working for the Russians and on and on. This went on night after night, day after day non-stop. The pee tape was a fabrication paid for by Hillary Clinton. No media outlet bothered to fact check or verify, they put it out front and centre for the whole world to see. They didn't care. There are valid criticism's of Trump to be sure and that is fair game. His opponents went above and beyond that level. Their only goal was to "get Trump" one way or another and it continues to this day. The criticism against Biden: He is in cognitive decline, the US economy is in recession or about to enter one, his foreign policy is a disaster( Russia more aggressive, China more aggressive, Iran more aggressive and happily going after that Iran Nuclear deal, Afghanistan under strong Taliban control. The President's son Hunter get's millions of dollars from Putin's Russia, millions of dollars from Communist China and they say Trump was compromised? Make no mistake, Joe Biden is "The Big Guy". Are you serious?

I would never make the claim that Trump was perfect and right about everything. He was certainly naive about the FBI and made bad choices for the FBI leadership. Yes, Strzok is human and he is allowed to express his opinion and express it privately to his friends. Seems to me that he spent quite a lot of time on the job expressing those opinions and he clearly let his private opinion interfere with his job. What was the insurance policy he bragged about? Not much came of it so it must have been a complete hoax just like Russia collusion. Donald Trump was the target from day one and then they went in search of a crime or crimes to pin on him. For you to suggest there was no conspiracy against Trump is ludicrous. Are you totally unaware of the Steele dossier and it's origins? Trump is human too and flawed like the rest of us. And he did a better job as President than Biden is doing. The big question is who is the front runner to replace Joe when he get's removed (by the Democrats)?

How to speak the truth about western global tyranny
ironstone replied to athos's topic in The Rest of the World
I wouldn't classify Russia as being weak exactly in that they have a strong military . But Russian military doctrine always seemed to be based on the "cannon fodder" principle. Russian military victories tended to be won but with enormous losses in men and equipment. Western armies don't have that same mentality. Ukraine has a very small military compared to Russia but if the reports are true, they have inflicted an awful lot of casualties on the Russians. Take note of the huge impact of hi-tech Western designed weapons. As for the current Russian standard of living I'm of the opinion that they still lag far behind the West. Russia has a much bigger problem to deal with. Simply math: No Russians by 2200 - Declining Birth Rate | FairPlanet Population decline in Russia: ‘Putin has no choice but to win’ in Ukraine (france24.com) -
There is very little reason for Americans to have faith in the FBI these days. Think The FBI Deserves The Benefit Of The Doubt? Think Again (thefederalist.com) I actually just happened to see Peter Strzok on tv talking about how the FBI is unbiased and totally dedicated to the pursuit of justice. Laughable. Strzok is the same agent whose text messages show he conspired with his mistress and FBI colleague, attorney Lisa Page. Strzok, a lead investigator for Crossfire Hurricane, assured Page of a mysterious “insurance policy” in place if Trump were to be elected, likely in reference to the agency’s inside operations. Page, according to the DOJ inspector general’s 2019 report, told colleagues to go easy on investigating Clinton because “she might be our next president.” When Page fretted that Trump might actually win the 2016 contest, Strzok assured his romantic partner, “we’ll stop it.”

I had heard of Russell Brand before and didn't know too much about his past life. I have watched some of his videos on Youtube and he does inject some humour into his clips. Frankly I find myself agreeing with him on some thing and he get's his point across well. I don't know much about his history of drug use and the effects on his brain but drug use has always been common with celebrities. Joe Biden is on record as saying that the smartest person he knows is Hunter Biden who we all know is a heavy drug user. Hunter must be some kind of genius because he get's paid huge sums of money by hostile foreign governments while never appearing to do any real work.?

I don't think this guy has anywhere near the same political power and influence as the Ayatollah. What do you suppose the Ayatollah's in Iran do to gays?

This is perhaps the most interesting podcast I've listened to so far. History buffs should love it. A younger co-worker told me to check out Spotify and I'm pretty impressed by what content is available

Can you name any Christian equivalent of the Ayatollah's fatwa? And please don't equate terrorist leaders with a harmless author either.

Trump's ad: powerful in its simplicity.
ironstone replied to betsy's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
This is kind of funny because that's sort of what conservatives think of those that support Biden and his Bernie Sanders policies. How's that working out for them? -
If you're going to compare Trump's economic record against that of Joe Biden it's not a good place to start. And you're saying Trump didn't have a plan for dealing with the border? Trump did not solve the border problem but he did make an effort do to so unlike Biden. Biden won't tackle the border issue because his handlers WANT the huge influx of illegals to keep streaming over the border. Biden did have a good jobs report recently but a lot of people have dropped out of the labour market in recent years. There are going to be a whopping 90,000 or so new jobs created soon...in the IRS! These agents will be targeting average working Americans and political opponents as well no doubt.

Alex Jones was not wrong all the time. I don't know what he was thinking when he said those things about Sandy Hook, that was truly crazy. But on other subjects he had some credibility. He was one of the first to suggest that Covid came from a Chinese lab. At first that was totally dismissed as nonsense but as time went on it seems that theory simply cannot be dismissed now. We can't trust everything we hear from governments. Most of the time they lie to us and governments of all political stripes do it, some more than others. I would wager that the law still will not be applied equally to all. Many powerful people on the left seem to be above the law.
