Ontario needs to invest in EVs as a realistic Option.
ironstone replied to Boges's topic in Provincial Politics in Canada
I wonder what the limits of EV's will be compared to ICE? Did you watch the video I posted earlier and if so do you dispute anything that was on that video? Just curious. -
US Supreme Court strikes down Roe V. Wade

Would you have supported what the Democrats wanted to do by expanding abortion laws right up to birth and even partial birth abortions? Last night on Mark Levin's show he detailed exactly how late term abortions are performed and it sounded horrific. Democrats wanted this to be legal right up until birth. And it seems lost on opponents of this decision that the people will get to decide about abortion state by state. Democrat Party Platform: We Support Abortions Up to Birth, Making Americans Fund Abortions - LifeNews.com At one time Youtube apparently had videos showing these procedures in graphic detail. Some reporters on the left complained that this could change minds if viewers actually saw the real procedure and so Youtube took down the evidence. -

There may be a fine line between "encourage" and "force". I think even you admitted that EV's are not going to save the planet. There seems to be little if any effort in going after industries and transportation (container ships etc) which in fact are the largest emitters. No doubt, car owners are the easiest targets. Donald Trump was the biggest target of the left and yet.. US greenhouse gas emissions drop under Trump, but climate experts aren’t celebrating - ABC News (go.com) I hope Doug Ford will continue to avoid costly and mostly useless wind and solar. -

Germany has a pretty strong Green party there and they are dead set against nuclear power. They have weak politicians there who cave in to those radicals. And here in Canada the Greens are also totally against nuclear. Nuclear Power (greenparty.ca) If you watched the video I posted above it states that many of the actual components of wind and solar are going to end up in landfills. -

Right now on FOX a sane discussion on Roe v Wade on Mark Levin's show. -

Aren't most of those states considered poor compared to the rest? Not the best health care in those states? With abortion isn't the infant mortality rate 100%? -

Joe Biden had a somewhat different position on abortion at one time. In the video below there's a clip from Senator Biden in 2006. From this Youtube channel coming from a guy and a simple laptop there are so many great takes on the news of the day. And with laughs too! -

The subject of guns has been brought up in this discussion so according to this link there are about 38,000 gun related deaths annually in the US. And there are many calling for much tougher laws against gun owners or possibly outright confiscation at the end of the day. Any mass shooting get's maximum news coverage, especially if the shooter happens to be white. Curiously, places like Chicago rarely get mentioned. I suppose it's because the shooters there are overwhelmingly not white but that's another story. 38,000 deaths from guns. Abortions average over 900,000. Prior to Roe v Wade being overturned, not a peep from the MSM about these huge numbers. In fact, the MSM would be thrilled if those numbers had been even higher, the more the better. Are you just as fine with an abortion being performed right up to 9 months? For all the uproar and threats (and acts) of violence from the left over this decision, there may not be that much actual change. Blue states will at the very least keep their existing abortion laws or expand them even further. Red states may just keep the status quo and the same with purple states. The big woke corporations will even pay to take women, sorry I mean birthing people, out of state if necessary to have an abortion where the law may be different. After all, those woke CEO's don't want more people at home raising families, they want them on the factory floor. -

More from the face of the modern day Democratic party. Again, women and "birthing people"? She mentions men too. -

Is the right to abortion a world wide right for women everywhere? Would you dare to be critical of any Muslim country for their abortion stance? How about Muslims that live in Canada or the US? Just out of curiosity did you feel there should be any limits on abortion or do you think it should have been allowed right up to the moment of birth ? This is one of your Democratic supporters. So according to your side it's not just about women. The great AOC herself also stated that gender is fluid. There are all kinds of opinions coming out now but it seems that the abortion debate will be left up to the states to decide. Democratic states will continue to promote abortion, especially in black and brown neighborhoods it seems. -

I think it's way more accurate to say that in fact the Democrat party has drastically moved farther left in just the last couple of years. Far away from their roots. Calling them socialist is not much of a stretch either. You shouldn't mention slavery without admitting which party was the anti slavery party either, just for the sake of accuracy. Roe v Wade has been around a long time but it should be pointed out that Democrats were not satisfied with that, they wanted to pretty much remove any existing limits to abortion but they failed. Democrat Bill Legalizing Abortion Through All Nine Months, For Virtually Any Reason, Fails In Senate | The Daily Wire It was also pointed out that they could have achieved this during either Clinton's or Obama's first terms , but they did not act. Everyone on the government side should act like adults and strongly come out and condemn violence which we know is going to come. They haven't done it before so I'm not optimistic. -

This is such a contentious issue with both sides. But one side has a long history of using very incendiary rhetoric which only makes things worse for everyone. Judges are already being threatened and the Democrats seem fine with it. This kind of talk is all too normal from people that should know better. -

ironstone replied to Boges's topic in Provincial Politics in Canada
This is a very informative video about the mad rush to EV's. Should Ontario invest heavily in EV's because of the potential financial benefits to the province? Or is it because it will help save the planet? Or a bit of both? This guy covers a lot of the bases in this discussion and points out some huge red flags. He's certainly not anti-EV but more pro choice. -
Canada Must Exit Climate Agreement Immediately
ironstone replied to Zeitgeist's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Why shouldn't we withdraw from these climate agreements when it's pretty clear they won't work at the end of the day? As usual, western democracies have to carry the financial load.- 386 replies

4 Democrats have often challenged election results as I have repeatedly pointed out in here. In fact when election results are challenged, it is usually the Democrats doing it and not the Republicans. I'm not convinced that the system is close to being fool proof. Turning off cameras at drop boxes, kicking out observers, bending the rules seems to be a rather common occurrence. From one Democratic insider: Former Democratic Governor Rod Blagojevich Calls Voter Fraud a 'Time-Honored Tradition' (townhall.com) Blagojevich explained how the Democratic apparatus allegedly operates to steal votes. "They control polling places, they stop votes when their candidate's behind, and then in wee hours of the morning, in the dark of night, the stealing starts," said Blagojevich. The reason the mainstream media is looking the other way, according to the former governor, is because the most important thing to them is defeating Donald Trump.

It was a very simple question in my opinion. Americans better off now under Biden? Or not? Are they worse off? I think we all know the answer to that. But perhaps you can't bring yourself to admit it because your hatred of Trump won't let you? Meanwhile, more on the leader of the free world. The president described as "perfect" by Nancy Pelosi. Rigging can take many forms. J6 Hysteria Is To Avoid Accountability For Rigging Of The 2020 Election (thefederalist.com) The propaganda press have also downplayed Zuckerberg’s staggering $419 million expenditure, or falsely presented it as non-partisan help to voters. Independent researchers have shown that the funding dollars overwhelmingly poured into Democrat counties, and particularly such counties in swing states. The money was used to enable the private takeover of government election offices, erasing the bright red line between campaign operations and government administration of elections. The massive grants were used to run Get Out The Vote operations through these government offices, in a manner that benefited Democrats in overwhelmingly disproportionate ways. The funds were used mostly to register Democrats to vote, encourage Democrats to vote, harvest Democrat ballots, cure defective Democrat ballots, count Democrat ballots, etc. No right-wing billionaire could have gotten away with even thinking about such an operation, but had he, the media would be all over it. A few hundred thousand dollars in Russian Facebook ads for both Clinton and Trump generated years of hysterical media coverage from the corrupt press. Yet Zuckerberg funding the private takeover of elections to secure Democrat victories has barely been mentioned — much less obsessed over — by most of corporate media.

So one side claims there is no evidence of election fraud to be found anywhere and the other side says there is evidence. On the internet each side can find links to prove or disprove fraud or not. I would suggest at the very least that it should be open to debate. From what I have read there seems to have been a lot of highly suspicious activity going on in the swing states. I don't think all of these claims have been fully investigated beyond the winning side in the election simply stating, nothing to see here/it didn't happen just move along. Special Counsel Finds ‘Widespread Election Fraud’ In Nursing Homes (thefederalist.com) Biden , or rather his handlers, want the feds to take over the administration of elections. This would be more great news for the Democrats as they generally favour making elections less secure. Such as not requiring ID to vote which is insane. Yes, Biden Is Hiding His Plan To Rig The 2022 Midterm Elections (thefederalist.com)

So the alternative is the federal government of the day, in this case the Democrats, will get to decide who votes. And when the time comes, it may be the Republicans setting the rules over who can vote. Perhaps they'll decide that it makes more sense to ask voters to provide proof of ID in every state.
