Darwin Strikes Again....

As more places will likely pledge to end the sale of ICE vehicles it's going to be very problematic for the pickup truck market. EV's seem to be pretty quick and all that but there is that elephant in the room called range. Chevy Silverado V8 vs F150 Lightning real world towing range test: -

It was already happening before the Ukraine invasion. This oil price shock was in the making long before the Ukraine invasion (thenationalnews.com) -

If the US is truly energy independent why did Biden ask the Saudis for more oil? Biden is on the hunt for higher oil production on his trip to Saudi Arabia. The odds are steep. (nbcnews.com) -

This link has Tesla ranked way down at 23 out of 30 major car manufacturers. Not that great when you factor in the rather high price. How Reliable are Tesla Cars? (carcareportal.com) Tesla Reliability ?️ One Of The Least Reliable Cars? (motorverso.com) I agree with Dana Perino on FOX with regards to ICE or EV. How about all of the above? Don't limit consumer choice or outright force them into EV's. If EV's can sell on their own merit and without massive government subsidies just let the marked decide. The world is not going to end if we don't eliminate ICE vehicles. -
I find it hard to believe that anyone could suggest that the Biden administration has the southern border under control. I'm sure they do get some kind of funding but it's not fair to put most of the burden on border states. El Paso the latest city overwhelmed by Biden's open border policy, Sara Carter reports | Fox News So far GOP governors have been sending the illegals primarily to Washington DC, Chicago, New York and now Martha's Vineyard. We've seen the reaction from the Vineyard, they don't want them. Same for the other three Democratic cities. Lori Lightfoot Bused Illegal Immigrants Out of Chicago – PJ Media

Don't you think it's fair to say that because of the total mismanagement of border security by Biden's handlers the border states are just simply overwhelmed? If a tiny number are sent to some crumbling, crime-ridden Democratic sanctuary cities what's the big deal? Can it be that Democrats are resorting to NIMBY? Perhaps after these illegals get a taste of life in some of these horrible Democratic run cities they'll have second thoughts about coming to the US in the first place.

When Clinton was running for president in 2008, she had a private server installed at her home in Chappaqua, New York. The domains clintonemail.com, wjcoffice.com, and presidentclinton.com, which were registered to a man named Eric Hoteham, all pointed to that server. In 2013, a Denver-based IT company called Platte River Networks was hired to manage the server, but wasn’t cleared to work with classified information. A server in her home, and NOT CLEARED to work with classified information.

I never suggest Hillary did all this evidence destruction personally and it would be crazy to believe that. However you know know as well as I do that it was her staff that "took care" of the evidence. Evidence that had been under subpoena. There is probably very little that Hillary actually does for herself, she has an army of staffers to do everything.

Canada’s Justin Trudeau: Religious Christians “Worst Part Of Society” – Online Ministries (online-ministries.org) Justin Trudeau Informs Church Minister Religious Christians Are "Worst Part Of Society" (capforcanada.com) According to this Pastor Trudeau apparently did say that. I'm not the least bit surprised Trudeau would say something like that.

The Biden administration has been flying these illegal immigrants to cities for a long time now. Often in the dead of night. Biden administration resumes migrant flights to airport outside NYC (nypost.com) I agree with Betsy, the Democrats that crowed about being "sanctuary" cities should be thrilled that they now have to support this influx of people but they're not because they are hypocrites. Perhaps now they might understand how overburdened the border cities are right now because Biden's handlers refuse to secure the border.

I did clearly state that the US did make a huge contribution to winning the war. Without the effort of the US most or all of Europe may have been steamrolled by Stalin. Who knows how far Japan could have gone without the US military as an opponent. If you interpret that comment as me giving a big FU to Americans that gave their lives in the war effort then you got it wrong. Many countries made huge sacrifices during WW2. If you read anything I post on here I am certainly not anti-American and I am in fact a fan of the US. I just hate to see the country in decline thanks to poor leadership and foolish policies.
-
America made a huge contribution to winning WW2 but most people forget we were allied with the brutal Russian dictatorship and this article states that it was the Russians that inflicted fully 75% of the total casualties against the Germans. GERMANY WAS DEFEATED ON THE EASTERN FRONT, NOT NORMANDY « Eric Margolis

I have heard of David Akin before but I don't watch Global News. I wonder if at any time in the past he has ever treated any member of the Liberals of the NDP in this fashion. The way he behaved was disgusting and it only reminded me of Jim Acosta.

Alberta has a valuable commodity that they have great difficulty getting to market thanks in no small part to opposition from radical environmentalists in this country. Unfortunately many of those radicals are in positions of power and those that aren't are not afraid to use violence to stop oil and gas production. I do remember BC residents complaining about the high price of fuel this year but Quebec takes the cake for hypocrisy. Nobody in Canada can seriously suggest that Quebec's stance on anything would be less than Alberta's. All federal political parties cater to that province big time. BC and Quebec still have a need for oil and gas and they seem perfectly fine with foreign oil coming over in massive tankers.
-
As to your 4th point, I'm not aware of Quebec ever ending up with bills thanks to Alberta oil. It's safe to say that Quebec has in fact benefitted enormously from Alberta oil over many decades.

I have little interest in the royal family other than feeling very annoyed when they are lecturing people like me about fighting climate change. Queen Elizabeth was a class act in that respect. It's the pinnacle of hypocrisy for any other member of the royal family to mention climate change given their own massive carbon footprint. We are going to be inundated with this stuff now that Charles is king. They do pay a price for being in the spotlight but the flip side is that all of them are enormously wealthy and have their every whim catered to.

I'm on the side that would leave those statues up and actually let people learn about the real history of the person or persons. The bad and the good. I totally disagree that everyone that wants a statue of Robert E. Lee to remain standing can be automatically categorized as a wicked white supremacist either. Given the clear evidence of what statues have been removed/vandalized by woke mobs it's obvious that they have little knowledge of history. They seem pretty weak minded if they can be such obvious useful idiots. Clueless Protesters Demonstrate Horrible Grasp on History by Defacing Statue of Abolitionist (westernjournal.com) How about the fact that there were also slave owners in the US that happened to be black? It must be pointed out that the slave trade in Africa depended on heavily on blacks willfully selling other blacks into slavery. -

Of course slavery was cruel and evil but whites were not the only participants in it. There is always more blame laid on the West for slavery but the left seems to forget the enormous effort of those who fought so hard to end the practice. The British and Americans(mostly Republicans). -

Does this answer your question once and for all? My bad, I missed that Infidel Dog already posted this. It does bear watching again to put that particular lie to rest. -
