I agree with the above, but with the following distinction. Kamala has until the DNC to build momentum and show evidence that she can beat Trump. And regardless of what CNN says, I really don't think she's going to do that. Not after the shooting event. Republican and conservative voters are gathering under the Trump flag and will follow it all the way to November. So if Kamala hasn't gained a lot of traction, she'll be dropped at the DNC and another will be pressed into service. Big Michelle, Hilary, Newsom, it doesn't matter who they pick. After 4 years of Biden's disaster, and then Trump rising up to shout Fight Fight Fight, it's a foregone conclusion.

Much has happened since you started this thread. But the most notable item in my opinion is that the US now officially has a lame duck president. The reason I bring this up is that the world scene and powers that be have become increasingly unstable in the last 2 years. Will the development of an American instability be enough to embolden the Putins and Irans? Could we see new escalations?

To the common sense conservatives on this forum, observe the fear and even desperation now rearing its head among the left. They know Kamala is not an improvement, and there is little hope on the horizon.
