  1. And for those keeping track, add another 10,000 layoffs by auto parts manufacturer Forvia. They make parts for Tesla.
  2. I'm not hyper focused on it, but keeping track of several things that are all pointing in the same direction. -The US Gov will have to pay back 8.9 trillion in maturing US treasuries this year. They can't do it. -US debt to GDP is dangerously high. There is less interest in buying US treasuries. -US debt is over 34 trillion, annual interest is over 1 trillion, annual deficits are around 1.7 trillion. Historic. -US interest rates are greatly impacting real estate, auto purchases and consumer debt. -The aforementioned BTFP ends on March 11. Regional banks will be hurting over this. -Captains of industry(Warren Buffet, Jamie Dimon, MIchael Burry) are preparing for something big. -The BLS announces over 300K new jobs, as Google, Zerox, Wayafair, Ebay, Paypal, Charles Schwab, UPS, Citigroup all announce MAJOR layoffs. -BRICS is rapidly moving away from any oil trading in US dollars, the world reserve currency. -They've developed their own SWIFT like system, neatly circumventing sanctions levied against them -They are developing their own gold backed currency, and hoarding gold in anticipation of this. -Since 2000, gold has increased an average of 7.8% per year, better than the S&P or the bond markets. There are more indicators, but none of it looks good. It appears that we are headed for a serious recession or worse. My parents were able to prepare for the 1980 recession, and they had to renew a mortgage during that time. Many family friends did not heed warnings, and then went bankrupt during that time, losing everything. I don't know for sure what we are facing, it is better to be prepared, just in case. Like Warren Buffet is.
  3. I’ve been focusing on the US as they impact Canada far more than Japan. For instance, on March 11 the Bank Term Funding Program ends. Ever heard of it? BTFP, a little program that has been keeping smaller banks afloat. Will they extend it? Can they afford to? What will happen to these smaller banks as they can no longer meet their obligations? What will these effects do to public confidence? All very interesting questions.
  4. Yeah, there was a big media splash today about the liberals approving new spending on multi dwelling infrastructure. Trudeau was loudly proclaiming that this will include 2 and 3 bedroom housing for growing families(and how many parking spaces per unit, big guy? None?) A sure sign of an upcoming election.
  5. Putin never killed Navalny. It make’s absolutely no sense, either. To kill an opponent when you are in the afterglow of a historic interview with Tucker, which swept the globe. If he was going to have him killed, it would have been years ago. He didn’t because Putin didn’t want a martyr. It was just dumb luck that Navalny died. And Biden is certainly trying to ruin his opponent, I never thought of it this way. But it’s more likely that Biden’s handlers, whomever they are, are masterminding the Trump effort. Biden probably wears diapers at this point, and can’t string 3 sentences together let alone quarterbacking a legal, political and media campaign against the orange man.
  6. What do yoooooooou think will happen to Japan?
  7. After WWII? Was their debt level 32 trillion? Let’s watch what happens to Japan.
  8. Easy does it big fella, starting too many threads in a single day may be biting off more than even your cavernous Godzilla mouth can chew. For instance, here you are making broad pronouncements on a business tycoon who has been just a tiny bit more successful than you. Or are you a multimillionaire, big guy, eh? Keep trying…
  9. That’s right, moonbox, You’re nothing but a drive by. You’ve got nothing to refute the argument so you try to change the subject instead. And NATO knows that Russia isn’t collapsing, almost 2 years after you started this thread about Russia collapsing. Otherwise they wouldn’t be suggesting a new Russian attack.
  10. Yeah. The Russian army is collapsing hard in Ukraine, and the official narrative is for everyone to fear that they’ll attack Poland or some other NATO country and collapse there too. Does anyone even think about what they are reading anymore?
  11. The point is, Russia collapsed, which is the point of this thread. Russia collapsed. We had them. How did they manage to become a global thread when we had them, smart guy? Or are you too busy with your crab pots to think about it?
  12. Let me throw some numbers at you. US debt to GDP is at 128%, and climbing. No nation has ever been able to come back from 130%. They go bankrupt. They experience actual hyper inflation that wreaks havoc on fatality stats, as well as the economy. They are never the same. Next up, 8.9 trillion in US treasuries are coming due this year. That means that the US government has to pay off that 8.9 trillion that they borrowed. Their tax base can not pay this, the yearly deficit is already well over 1 trillion in the red. They don't have the money. Can they borrow it? Print it? Either option will serve to be the straw that broke the economy's back. The US just keeps raising the debt ceiling and sending more cash to Ukraine instead of dealing with this catastrophe. So they'll probably start a war, if domestic terror events haven't started up by then(there are now over 8 million illegals within US borders, some of them known terrorists from the ME). The US government, Congress, Senate and president all know this, and they are not telling the people. Which is probably wise as the resulting panic would be unproductive and even devastating to the nation. So sometime this year, probably before the election, the dollar, the DOW and the economy are probably going to crash. The government will probably blame Russia, but at that point it won't matter one bit who is to blame. Batten down the hatches, we are in for rough seas. I've never been a prepper, but Canada will certainly get a cold from Uncle Sam's sneezes in this case.
  13. The strategy that the West used was wrong. If you would simply look at the result and then think critically about it. Why was West Germany and Japan’s rebuilds so successful after WWII? Why did the strategy employed in Russia fail? Were they the same strategy? Putin is the result of a failed Western effort.
  14. I’m going to suggest something that may be considered radical here in the West. One thing that countries with unity all seem to have is that the vast majority have similar views. And where do they get these views from? Their controlled media. The State has a firm grip on what is truth, and what is permitted to be disseminated to the population. As dangerous as that can be, it creates a people that tend to get along. Support their leadership. Are free to build and expand, for example, without EPA, lawsuits and protestors chaining themselves to equipment or blowing up trains. Say what you will about Saudi Arabia or others like them, they have fewer mass shootings, don’t they?
  15. More proof that you don’t know what you’re talking about. It’s puzzling because your thread on Axis of Tyrants was pretty much bang on.
  16. Is that what google told you? The point is, whatever it was that was done, it didn’t work at all, did it? That’s just the plain reality.
  17. Yeah, whenever I want a good laugh I look up this thread. The truth is, Russia collapsed over 30 years ago. Job done, foe vanquished, danger to the free world averted. Brought to you by Ronald Reagan, an actor that became a politician late in life. Weird how a non politician could figure out Russia, eh? But something went quite wrong, obviously. Russia wasn’t exactly welcomed into the family, were they? With all of the billions(180 billion by the US alone) sent into Ukraine now, helping Russia back then could have averted the disaster that we have now. Even if Ukraine had kept its nuclear weapons Putin wouldn’t have dared attack. Ukraine was disarmed by the West, and Russia was allowed to twist in the wind, the perfect climate for a dictator like Putin to arise. Now we have the globe fearing nuclear war. Nice job, NATO and UN, way to go.
  18. Wow. 4 pages on a topic that Trump HASN'T spoken on. The epitome of derangement.
  19. Those things are all true, but they are not necessarily the marks of a society or country that all should emulate. But they have something, something they’ve achieved that allows their nation to achieve an efficiency and success that many can’t. It seems to me it could be as simple as unity among its people. The people mostly agree on what’s right and what’s wrong. What’s allowable and what should be shunned. How one should attempt to live their life. Here in the West, we have become the very opposite of that. It’s praised as diversity, but the end result is people screaming at each other instead of listening to another view, something coming from a fellow human. Respect, where did it go? Take this thread for instance, or just about any thread on this forum. Hate, attack, belittle, name call. Where does this come from? Why are we so hateful to each other? It’s hatred at the grassroots level, and it stunts the growth of a people. This hatred and disunity that has been going on for at least 20 years has made us stagnate. The West has been treading water while our enemies have been making gain after gain after gain. And as much as the readers of this forum may disagree with everything and name call, something is seriously wrong with our culture that is promoting this screaming at each other. China. Iran. Russia. A new Axis of Tyrants does exist, and we let it happen.
  20. I do not receive those words from Legato, they have no part of me. I have to admit that I did not know what fatima was, or meant. I saw the thread title, and assumed it must have to do with something in the muslim tradition. That said, I have not had much to do with the Catholic tradition, but the Catholics I have rubbed shoulders with in my life have always been upright, fair and kind to me. In fact, in 2 separate instances, my then new career was greatly aided by catholic folk who took a chance on me. I am curious about these fatima secrets, or whatever because I've heard of people having very serious dreams and such about the near future. One such saw a plague coming over the world, which turned out to be Covid. Another saw Russia attacking Ukraine. It was seen that Roe vs Wade was going to fall. Like I said, very intriguing stuff. Now that I think of it, the economic disaster that was 1979-1980 was seen, my parents had a book describing the events and were able to prepare for it. Many family friends went bankrupt at that time.
  21. Israel has bombed the nuclear facilities in both Iraq and Syria, both to prevent them from joining the nuke club. Probably some other nations as well. Iran presents an ever growing threat.
  22. I’ll tell you what. When Iran gets bombed by Israel, and if you still remember this, message me privately and I’ll tell you what I know.
  23. Hey, Biden has been an amazing president, for both democrats AND republicans. No doubt about it. He has woken people up to the reality of the American government like nothing in history. Trump claimed there was a swamp, but his work only reached some of the Dems out there. Biden has proved beyond a doubt that the American government and ruling class has been taken over by the swamp. A billion dollars at a time. Only the hard core brainwashed still can’t see it at this point, and that’s okay because they are the small(if noisy) minority. They will scream and moan loudly, being dragged into reality by forthcoming events like the upcoming election. So thank you Biden. This may have single-handedly saved the nation, and by extension the free world. And the final nail in the coffin of the brainwashed will be his arrest and sentencing.
