Poverty (self created of course) plays a tertiary role in this and the middle east as a whole. Yes, they have oil and such. However, quite a few (and quite willingly in some cases) live in poverty and with poverty comes desperation. It is easier to recruit soldiers if they are starving, desperate, and/or bored. This is why you find the stereotypical radical muslim cleric in the poorer parts of the cities and in the rural areas.

While I do not support such policy.. I do realize that there is a pretty small chance that we institute a draft ever again. I do know that enlistment rates are down. We have a military base in Fallon, NV and they have been impacted by this. They have empty housing units that have sat vacant for 6+ years.

Proud boys in the big scheme are pretty inconsequential. After the 2020, they held a rally in the capital city of Carson City. At most, 50 people were in attendance. They were lined up on the right (as you drive northbound). It was pretty sad honestly. They were all sorts of worked up and as per usual.. there was little car traffic on a saturday morning in Carson City. They arrived at 8 and had disbanded by 11.

We went to an event on Saturday and it just shows that folks are simply bored. They need a cause to fight for and even if they look stupid doing so.. they need something. It was a drag queen story event. My daughter was performing as part of a group before the event hence our going. The two songs are from a musical with zero lgbtq references. First.. the children in attendance had to have an adult with them. Second, there is quite the physical barrier.. about 6 feet, between the story teller and the kids. Third, they never touch not even close. Fourth, there is no mention of the sex act.. not even one syllable. Fifth, the drag queen was not exposing themselves more than arms and ankles.. oh so explicit (smh). The stories read were standard issue stuff.. no lgbtq characters or mentions of sex. Sixth... best of all, it happens on two days per year as part of a week celebrating inclusivity. Grand total of 3 hours out of 8760 in a year. So what happens.. Folks in the parking lot with posters and bullhorns going on about sexualizing the kids. And then the particularly contrived ones who attempt to walk into the building with their phones/cameras. They clearly know how to read a sign that says, "Only adults with a child may enter". And yet they get all indignant about not being allowed and wah, wah, wah... The library has clearly lineated legal backing... they are allowed to have events where not all of the general public can enter at will. One guy does this every year.. I would bet money that he gets paid to do this. After 3 years.. he knows the protocol and every year plays stupid and gets outraged. Having been to two of these.. they are so incredibly unremarkable. The kids mostly fall asleep or get bored and start making noise. Such indoctrination for sure.. It is so intense that no one cares.

Being someone who is abnormally short.. 5'4".. there is a difference. Are tall men more masculine? No.. not even close.
