Is Caitlin Clark not Gay or Black Enough for the WBNA?
impartialobserver replied to a topic in Moral & Ethical Issues
I would say its very early in her career and lets see how it plays out in seasons to come. My guess is that she will not be the lead story next year and will settle into a groove and be one of the WNBA's top 5 players. -
I do not know that answer. There is not a lot of cross over in the two pools (so to speak). Have never done burning man but have been out to the black rock desert (the playa) quite a few times. It is a different kind of place for sure

Well, to move them.. you would have to do so in a legal sense. In the U.S... that is quite the task. To legally bar a gay pride parade from existing would be a Herculean legal task at present. As for private businesses (coffee shops) having some gay pride event, you can't legally bar them from doing so because it is not a crime. Most here tolerate it because it occupies less than 1% of the city's land area for 6 hours (6 /8760 hours in a year is a pretty small number). Besides, downtown in June is not the go to spot for locals. 97 degrees, not a cloud in the sky, and not the shadiest area... none too pleasant. As for the relatively few events.. easily avoided. Thousands of other options.

If you revile it so much.. i would consider moving. in my neck of the woods.. it shuts down a 4 block radius from 10 am to 4 pm on a given saturday in June. As for events.. there are some but given the size of the town, one can easily avoid them. They are almost always at coffee shops (downtown) and at public libraries. 6 or 7 buildings out of 10K

Chicago School Board

except that fires happen in every city/town and have done so since the state (Nevada) since it came into existence. This is apples to oranges. But hey lets hire an SRO at a given school in NV where there has never been a school shooting or any major crime? -

Except that fires do happen and at a far higher rate than school shootings in the state. Data proves it. Your acceptance of this data is not necessary. What practical justification is there for an SRO at a school where there has never been a school shooting (keep in mind that there are 114 schools with the first one opening in 1869). For the other 112... zero but lets stretch the already thin budget to bring on an SRO because it MIGHT happen. Unlike you, I do not view predictions as evidence. -

A point can be made in different ways. Data on my behalf proves that it is not practical or necessary. Now if the shootings or crime was happening... then you bring the SRO on. -

Thanks for restating my point. I guess repetition can be good sometimes. -
Your passion/diehard partisan bias precludes you from reading something and actually interpreting it... As for point #2.. you do realize that I was referring to Trump? Of course not. 3. Talking about something is not working. They take credit for policies for which they mostly know nothing about the details. I work with them and when pressed for details.. you get blank stares. They say, "talk to my aide or assistant". If you actually knew something.. you would not say that.

We have extremely few SRO's in Washoe County School District. Hmm... and what has been the result? Two small scale school shootings.. neither connected by time or geography. So police presence in schools is not an absolute necessity. On a case by case basis, it could be. Oh.. and the poorest school in the state did not have the shooting nor does it have crime rates above that of the state averages. -
No one is forcing the OP or like minded individuals to celebrate it in any way. I do not attend gay pride parades. I know that for 6 hours out of an entire year.. a 4 block radius in downtown Reno (which I mostly avoid) is going to be unavailable.

in NV (amongst many other states) one is added to the voter registration database automatically upon getting a drivers license, business license, or driver's learning permit as long is 18 of course. This is nothing nefarious. It was meant to be a cost saving measure.. ie less staffing. However, like all things there are flaws. Such as when someone moves from NV to AR.. they stay in the database for a few years. Mainly due to lack of staffing. I know.. not Hollywood-esque enough.

maybe a few but only in the slightest degree. Here's a hint about internet forum posters. They are quite impassioned hence why they end up here or somewhere else. Their mind is made up before they ever come here. Second, anonymity and distance emboldens folks. They say things on here that they would not dare say in person. So you blasting away (much the same as they are) is not changing their views in the slightest.

Anyone notice how Taxme is not proud of his decisions/accomplishments. He is proud of what someone did long before he was born. Therefore, he had absolutely nothing to do with it.. but yet he is proud of it.

There are two many holes in the OP to definitively prove that the Israeli government is solely behind this. When my dept got sued, we had to track down the claimant. The claims were on the surface being filed in Nevada. After 4 weeks of clever sleuthing.. we found that he lived in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico and that the claims were actually originating in the Cayman Islands.

It was tongue in cheek. Responding so reflexively on your part shows your lack of maturity and intellect. But yes.. you create thread after thread about Trump... Each is in essence no different than the other. You say the same and somehow expect a different response. In the real world.. not your sheltered internet fantasy world.. folks tune out something after hundred and thousands of repetitions.
