Wonderful Orange Man
impartialobserver replied to CouchPotato's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
I simply have no respect for him. That's all that I need to say. -

What i find comical is that you think that this thread which offers zero new information (by your own admission) is going to change anything. Those on here that are going to vote for Trump made up their mind years ago. those who will not.. have done the same. -

There is nothing new about Trump today vs. yesterday. All the same information about him is available today as was a month ago.. Go ahead and keep saying the same thing over and over again. Repetition is not always a good thing. -

Proof that humans are irrational.. we keep talking about Trump every day. Nothing has changed.. he has not changed. Yet, every day folks have to keep saying the same things and expecting something different to come about. -

Is Caitlin Clark not Gay or Black Enough for the WBNA?
impartialobserver replied to a topic in Moral & Ethical Issues
most Americans can't name 3 players from the Indian Premier League. Why? because they do not care. the WNBA has only became en vogue. Its a matter of simple reality. -
"price gouging" is nothing but inflammatory propaganda. This concept involves the suppliers colluding to charge a price far above the market equilibrium price (very hard to prove) and the consumers have few, if any, options (again , hard to prove). hypothetically, for any price fixing scheme to work.. you have an overabundance of whatever... supply exceeds demand. But that is not the case and so its a waste of time to ponders its merits.

Its more like this. Person xyz is Conservative living in Idaho. They support Republican candidate x and lets just say that they lose. They view it as a reflection on their way of being. A republican candidate losing supposedly is a sign that their Conservative ways are under attack. Also, it diminishes them. Their candidate lost and so no bragging or front running. its like when your college football team loses.. supposedly it says something about you that you support team xyz and them losing reflects poorly on you.

Head of Project 2025 Fired!
impartialobserver replied to Rebound's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
I do not know if he would or not. In the absence of official documentation, I would say any connection between the two is subjective. -
Head of Project 2025 Fired!

And what if the matter is purely subjective such as red cars are better than blue cars? It would appear in that case.. the win is really a measure of who is most bored and has the most time to waste on meaningless debate. -

So in the short.. the "win" however hollow it is comes from out-persisting the other and getting the last word. -
Tim Walz creeps the hell out of me
impartialobserver replied to West's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
He is not incorrect. Went to Minnesota in 2018 and the lack of spice was noticeable. Here in NV.. we like our spice. however, I make my own Mexican and add copious amounts of chiles and poblanos to most things I make. -

They run away every day when they eventually go to sleep or gasp!.. have something meaningful to do. and when you say, "I have said all that I am going to say".. this is apparently code for being cowardly. Someone will eventually get the last word... -

Walz.. seems like a rather garden variety modern politician.
