How about this, Canucks? Problem Solved?
herbie replied to robosmith's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
No but the BEAN COUNTER in the White House should understand Point Roberts and the NW Angle cost the USA money and hand them over pretending it's a goodwill gesture. In return, Canada'd offer a mutual defence treaty with Denmark to 'safeguard' Greenland. Then the Mango Mussolini could concentrate on the real issue: turning the USA into a 19th Century shithole. -
Too brainwashed with bullshit to comprehend that if you remove 17¢ worth of tax, the price should go down 17¢. Stand up for the right of OTHER people to rip you off as much as they can, dream one day you can be one of them.

So gas prices began rising this week in Atlantic Canada, and today stories from Vancouver tell of prices shooting up as much as 25¢ a litre, days before the 17¢ cut by the Apr 1 removal of the carbon tax. Not that anyone should be surprised, they've been prepping us with tales of soon to happern changeover to 'summer blends' and comments regardin how the boycott on US travel will boost demand due to in Canada vacationing. SO much for any 'savings'. Really sad to say "I told you so" But the revenue from the hated, driving you penniless, making your loaf of bread cost $1 more to deliver, didn't stop CHina polluting carbon tax will now go to corporate wallets instead of available to fund you govt. I'm sure you'll all be happy about that. https://globalnews.ca/video/11100354/metro-vancouver-gas-price-spike-raising-questions-about-carbon-tax

The Vances go to Greenland
herbie replied to Aristides's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
They have no bases here to hide at, so no need to visit Canada. Have to keep doubling down on the fact Loblaws carries frozen eggrolls and borscht as proof we're 'threatened' by China and Russia and need their protection. -
New CPC Strategy Idea: Stop Pandering to Quebec
herbie replied to WestCanMan's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
I endorse your suggestion! Pass your suggestion onto PP. After all Trumpy Boy showed how you can win by being as objectionable and offending as many people as possible. Good luck. -
Oh Jeez get back under your rock with your fellow anti-vax nutcases. You'll make handy bio-weapons exempt from any Armaments Conventions.

No, you should. You're equating responsible resource development with being against resource development. Starting every thought with the premise that regulation equals "bad", that the wishes of business owners is more important than that of the population. That everyone must agree with your premises in order to reach your conclusion. Resource development has not stopped under either NDP or Liberal govts. Unless you want to go way back to the Dave Barrett era of the 1970s where the mere concept of royalties was so abhorrent to business they overthrew a democratic govt in Chile and shut down BC operations altogether. And regardless of what govt was in place, no matter what concessions and deregulation was offered, withheld investment for decades to teach the population a lesson on who runs the show. We would all agree the processing of permits needs to be sped up, but only a fool would buy the dream that a heavy handed federal govt that rolled back environmental and local accomodation and consultation rules is the solution. PP's bullshit slogans aren't going to fix a bloody thing, their implementation by some imagined ability to do via the stroke of a pen like Trump's daily decrees will make things worse.

Not far from my estimate of 32% of conservative support being from traitors, eh? Now strip out the extremist right and the actual number of real traditional Conservatives drops down into near traditional NDP territory. The real polarization is between Conservatives and the right, not the right & left.

Experiencing Technical Difficulties
herbie replied to herbie's topic in Health, Science and Technology
So I told the doddering old lady's son to call the phone compay and cancel the Internet. They'd told him eariler that <100Kbps was the best they could expect on $80 mo ADSL where she lived. And to call the cable company and order just the Internet, their smallest package. So the dimwit called to tell me that he did what I told him and called the phone company and cancelled all his Mom's services. Then he called the cable company and ordered their Internet. Called his Mom to see when they were coming so he could be there. Her phone didn't ring. Ran over to see if she was okay and found out her cell didn't work either. Needed my help again. Went over and found a cable modem blinking in the corner. She'd ordered a full pkg from them last year but found the TV decoder 'too confusing' and cancelled. They'd ended her TV pkg, but she'd been paying for 60Mbps Internet through them ever since. And hooking up to the crappy DSL... Made the son call the phone company back, tell them he made a mistake and turn her cell and landline on while I stood there. Connected her laptop and phone to the proper wifi. And made him pay for my service call, not Mom. While I was there I deleted RealPlayer, Quicktime and AusLogic Defrag from her laptop and told her to stop using Windows 98 shit like Yahoo mail just because her daughter was 'the computer expert' stuck three decades ago. -
sound like the title of a satirical magazine. Does it recommend eating roadkill to cure brainworms too?

and now Canadians can too! Guess my choice of new car will be much easier now I can eliminate any US built models. That Mitsubishi is looking better day by day

How many points did the essaY drop for 'begging the question" using your conclusion as the argument for itself? Socialism is bad, mmmkay. Doesn't require arguement or discussion, right?
