Most of these large fires in remote areas are caused by lightning strikes. Higher temperatures also make thunderstorms more common and violent. That's why we don't have them in winter. Smoke from the Sask and Man fires is now blanketing the north east US. They also massively increase CO2 emissions while destroying the forests that absorb them.

The trade war is back on

The US imports 60% of its aluminum, almost all of it from Canada. They don't have the generating or smelting capacity to replace it. Americans can look for big price increases in products with high aluminum content. American products will become even less competitive in world markets. -

So what, your post was about a WW2 bomber crew.

Maybe they are and maybe they aren't but you still can't force the kids to go. Your immigration laws don't override your constitution. This will wind up in court if the government insists on making these kids leave and the government will lose. I've never maintained you can't deport the parents but this thread is about their kids. It's in the title.

No they can't. WTF do you think citizenship means? You just can't make up excuses to justify violating their rights or the fundamental protections guaranteed by citizenship. I don't know what a 10 year old wants. Maybe he does want to stay with his family but maybe his family believes he will be better off staying even without them. That's their decision whether you like it or not. You can't make a citizen (or anyone else for that matter) responsible for, or suffer the consequences of the actions of their parents

Can you guarantee you wouldn't try to do the same if you were stuck in some 3rd world shit hole run by gangs? I'm not the one making moral judgments here, I'm simply saying citizens cannot be forced out of their own country for any reason. Keeping families together is just the excuse being used to justify it.

The kids are citizens, they can't be forced to go with their parents and can't be held responsible for their parent's actions. I'm not making a moral judgement like you and using it as an excuse to force citizens to leave the country. They may well feel that their child is better off abandoned in the US than taken back to a country where they have no future. But then, we will never have to make that kind of choice for our children.
