Accommodating male/female segregation for Muslims?

I have, and what I found out is there are a multitude of reasons. Ignorance never helps, get out and meet the world. -
Accommodating male/female segregation for Muslims?

I was talking about women who wear the hijab. Yes, most of them are also 'Muslim', but it is questionable about how devote. -
I guess you have no experience beyond your own local neighbourhood. I suggest you visit the Orthodox Jews in Toronto (Bathurst/Lawrence area), or the many other immigrant communities around our land (Amish, Hutterite, Mennonite, etc.).

I suggest you spark up a conversation with the multitude of women who wear a hijab, you will find that your uninformed prejudices are just that. -

Another climate change denier with his head stuck in the sand. I guess clean water is also a wedge issue. -

What does wearing the hijab have to do with being subservient to a husband and being incapable of interacting with men? Perhaps Argus needs to meet and interact with many of the women who wear the hijab, it might open his eyes. -

The difference TimG», is the far right wing is represented by the mainstream politicians (Harper, Trump, etc.) and their direct supporters and the far left wing is the fringe. -

As long as the hijab is there to serve its purpose of covering the hair only, and not as a fashion statement. Did they qualify that it must be plain black, or possibly some colour to complement the uniform? -
We are more concerned about Trump's health issues. A press release does not suddenly make him healthy, he is about to keel over.

I voted for a thumbnail display, but it should be based on the byte size of the image. I don't care about screen real-estate, I care about data transferred. If someone posts a large graph that compresses down due to lots of white space then no problem, I just don't want to download someones cat video by default.

Modern western cultures are not ruled by Sharia law, nor are they ruled by Christian law. We have secular law in our countries. You know that only 2 of the 10 commandments are part of our secular law (thou shalt not kill, thou shalt not steal). It is not that we don't accept Sharia law, it is that we don't accept any religious law.

Really? What inhumane aspects of Islam have western countries chosen to codify?

Your thoughts on official unilingualism?

Not sure what an 'allophone' is, but you answered your own question. Those that speak both official language get better employment opportunities. -
Your thoughts on official unilingualism?
?Impact replied to Machjo's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Outside of the greater Montreal area, there is a significant number of unilingual French speaking people in Quebec. About 42% of the province is English/French bilingual. Leaving for English unilingual or other, I would guess just over 4 million are French unilingual. -
Yes, it is bad no matter which way you look at it. If the cab took off, then Driver may not have come out and possibly more people would be injured/killed. At the time the police certainly had just cause to arrest Driver, but what was the best way to do it? Did they know that the cab was for Driver? Lots of questions. I am also wondering about the story the cab driver told. He said the police came up suddenly, but he also said he was saved because he was reaching down for his cigarettes. Did he not freeze when the police came out? Again lots of questions, little answers.

Median is about the distribution. I agree a more thorough distribution would be helpful, but if you want a single figure to simply the comparison then media is the best one to use.

Germany has a great export economy, without the compromises.

No, free trade is just a gift to the multi-national corporations to allow them to circumvent anything that would better the world for the average Joe. What advantage do you want us to have? Exploitation of workers, poor safety standards, compromise the environment?

You really need to research before you post. When Trudeau took over Canada's debt was about 23% of GDP. He reduced it to about 12% of GDP by the mid 70's, but increased it again to about 28% of GDP by the time he left office. Mulroney ballooned it 65% of GDP. Trudeau had 5 years of double digit inflation to contend with (give 9 months to Clark to be fair), Mulroney had none (highest level was 5.1% in 1991). Yes unemployment was in the double digits in the mid-80's for close to 2 years under both PMs. Mulroney also had a year and a half of double digit unemployment in the 90's.

Classical erroneous thinking. Why can't we grow the economy through exports, why do we have to become a nation of consumers?

Yes, a low bandwidth and low screen real-estate mode would be great, what many websites refer to as mobile mode. While I generally use these forums on my desktop, I occasionally hear some posters using their iPad.- 1,890 replies

All freedoms should have reasonable limits placed on them. Freedom of speech should include the ability to criticize the government and promote it being overthrown through peaceful means. Once you cross the line and support violent means, then your freedom needs to be curtailed. Supporting ISIS is supporting violence, so yes he should be arrested.
