  1. Yes, not all segregation is the same. Segregating based on gender and age is very common practice in our modern world. Segregating based on race in the old US south was a problem because the races were treated differently. I have the same problem on segregation based on gender today where there is different treatment. If you separate the girls from the boys, and give the boys an education and disallow girls from receiving an education then that is a big problem. That is not however the situation that is being discussed.
  2. I think the question is not after the video he posted where he pledged allegiance to ISIS and made threats, but what about prior?
  3. There are significant differences between the Green Party and the NDP.
  4. Mohammed Saeed al-Sahhaf lost his title.
  5. It would be interesting to compare present day legislatures to see which ones use bench style seating and which ones have desks. Certainly the Canadian Parliament, EU Parliament, US Congress, Bundestag, etc. all use desks. I believe the US Capitol building was built prior to the current Palace of Westminster so age of the facility is not the only factor, but the old Palace which it replace stood many centuries prior so heritage may have been a bigger factor than practicality. The House of Commons of England (predecessor to current House of Commons of the United Kingdom) predates the printing press, certainly a very important factor on how (government) business is conducted.
  6. How is segregation considered misogynistic? If you think it is, then why are you not out protesting the private schools with segregation? Are you marching in front of the local women's only gym?
  7. The 'middle east' is naturally a single entity with everyone having the exact 100% same culture and practices. We know there is no difference between Canadians in Newfoundland, Quebec, Ontario, Saskatchewan, Alberta, and BC, even the "old stock" folks so why should there be any differences between a population of people over 10 times larger with many more languages.
  8. I cannot comment on a ledger I have not seen, or does not exist.
  9. I thought you were a supporter of free tirade.
  10. It is not about closing the borders, it is about levelling the playing field. Today the playing field is tilted way to far to support the multi-national corporate masters who own the Liberals, Conservatives, Republicans, and Democrats. The answer to unions, regulation, and other progressive policies that actually improve the life for the average Joe has been to circumvent them through free ride for the few.
  11. Exactly, that is why we need to have huge import duties because the multi-national corporations own the politicians who created this free for them trade to trade our economy (i.e. the average Joe) down. Don't like to have fair wages, fair safety practices, environmental responsibility, then just outsource to a nation that doesn't protect workers, human rights, or the the environment. The flat screen that everyone is whining about the unemployed having is not an excuse to make it cheap so the unemployed can have it.
  12. How long do I get for using every one of George Carlin's list in a single post?
  13. Why this specific case? Why can we accommodate other parents wishes, but not these ones? So no accommodation for anyone? Everyone for themselves?
  14. Why do we have segregated changing rooms for kids 5-12 other than to appease the parents? It is all about accommodating differing ideas driven by ideology. I see two completely different questions that should not be confused. Should we have to accommodate? Can we accommodate if it is practical?
  15. Name one elected US president who wasn't the Presidential candidate from either of the two major parties in the past 150 years?
  16. You are confusing many different terms. There is discrimination, segregation, modesty, privacy, accommodation, and I will even throw in fashion. They are all related to the topic at hand, but they are not the same. I am not suggesting anything about any ideology, just that if your ideas around segregation are guided by your ideology and think that some other ideology is inferior to another because of a differing view on segregation then I will condemn you.
  17. I have no problem condemning anyone, including Muslims, for gender based discrimination. If you are willing to get rid of all gender based segregation then I will support you, if you are picking and choosing what gender based segregation appeals to your ideology then I will condemn you if you suggest that someone else's ideology is inferior to yours. What is it?
  18. Actually the present PM of Canada has been very non-partisan in the American campaign.
  19. I thought I was being very precise, I named the major parties and said 'Presidential candidate'. Those who don't get the party nomination are not Presidential candidates.
  20. You are right, we should stand idly by and watch Herr Adolf Trump become the next President of the United States because democracy means we have to shut our pie hole.
  21. We make accommodations all the time, yet it seems when the accommodations are for Muslims suddenly all is not right with the world. As segregation is being brought up, we segregate based on sex and age all the time and nobody bats an eyelash. Suddenly however, we need to integrate or we are going to hell. Why can't Canadians' have integrated nude saunas like Finland? That interaction is essential to the very soundness of human civilization, our very survival is threatened because we do not.
  22. Despite reams and reams of facts proving that Trump is a compulsive liar, you 'believe' him because he is rude, crude, and ignorant.
  23. I said all Presidential candidates (Republican and Democrat) except Ford. No we haven't seen all candidates from the fringe, nor all hopefuls, but once the major parties selected a candidate then yes we did see their returns. In 2016, we have returns from Bush, Clinton, Cruz, Rubio, Florina, Kashich, and Sanders - but not Trump.
  24. Other than Gearld Ford, all Presidential candidates (Republican & Democrat) have released their tax returns since the 1970's. Ford released a financial summary. This is not Hillary's terms, it is Trump yet again thinking he is special and can get away with anything.
  25. I suppose being born to a rich daddy is considered 'work'.
