  1. But the man that shall be unclean, and shall not purify himself, that soul shall be cut off from among the congregation, because he hath defiled the sanctuary of the Lord: the water of separation hath not been sprinkled upon him; he is unclean. - Numbers 19:20
  2. We can be certain that Donald Trump has done a lot of illegal activity, and is a worse criminal than Clinton. The only difference is that Clinton did her crimes as a public servant, something Trump has yet to become. Rest assured however, that Trump will do far worse if ever allowed to.
  3. I don't agree with the 'instead' part. I think pipeline to tidewater within Canada is a serious priority. Yes, pipeline to US markets, and maybe even tidewater through the US is important, but secondary.
  4. Yes, in this case the system worked. The real question is how often is it not caught. You do point out the biggest weakness however, the fact that this obviously incompetent judge (not so much in the case before him, but the fact that he didn't recuse himself) was promoted by the politicians. What was Peter MacKay thinking? Mind you the Conservatives also appointed Vic Toews to the court of Queens Bench in Manitoba, so thinking is not their strong suit.
  5. Off topic, this is about Energy East. Yes, Trans Mountain is awaiting Governor in Council approval (essentially Cabinet). It appears it will be given. Note that there are still the 157 conditions that KinderMorgan must meet.
  6. The next day Trump announced in his speech that he is the only candidate to ever score a perfect record.
  7. That is because we use the barbaric cultural practice of first past the post.
  8. I saw clips of Donald - he walks like a spaz, he moves like a spaz, he talks like a spaz. He doesn't have the mental or emotional control. I think there's lots of truth to the rumours.
  9. I already demonstrated the numerous problems with your list - pay attention. Additionally, items in your list were for the west coastal waterways, something that Energy East does not go anywhere near.
  10. They claimed in January that they are testing a hydrogen bomb, if that is the case then it was pretty much a dud. The reports I saw on this recent one were 10kt, or slightly smaller than Hiroshima. The bigger claim, if it can be believed, is that this bomb is warhead capable (ie. can be mounted on a missile).
  11. How does Trudeau factor into this in the slightest 0.0000000000000000000001%? Which board member did he appoint? What legislation did he pass that has any bearing on this matter at all?
  12. Yes, although the fact that some countries like Saudi Arabia having 1.8 cell phones per person do tend to skew the statistics. Many countries are above one cell phone per person, I saw one statistic (about a year old) that said there are 3.7 unique subscribers which still leaves almost half the world without one. North America is just above 1 cell phone per person, with Canada slightly below by itself. Smaller states appear to have the highest. Also note that there are many parts of the world, Africa in particular, where there is almost zero land line usage.
  13. Yes, the marketeer promises you $30 and hour, and delivers you below minimum wage. I guess you also respond to those e-mails that says my friend makes $8759/week sitting in front of his computer for a couple of hours. There is nothing wrong with piece work, but don't be a crybaby and say you can't find Canadians to do the work when you are not delivering what you promised. --- I admit, I watch the girl in shorts ride by on her bike. It's sunny out now, gotta go.
  14. Yes, on day one Trump is given the football and the world will come to an end. Thanks for the prediction. That has nothing to do with experience, just the stupidity of the electorate.
  15. No, the difference is Trudeau is able to converse with others. He has the ability to listen, something the egomaniac Trump is incapable of. History has demonstrated time and time again, that those who think they have all the answers, turn out to be complete disasters.
  16. The current Prime Minister of Canada doesn't claim to have a secret solution to ISIS, and other world issues.
  17. Quebec, Manitoba, and BC* have public utilities and use hydro power as the primary mover. *Yes, I am aware there is a single private distribution/retail company in the Kootenay region, but it does no do any generation and involves only 3% of the BC population. You are right, the OEB was set up by Mike Harris as part of the Electricity Act of 1998. Yes, they approve the rate changes, but the rate requests are made by the operating companies. There is little they can do about the rates other than request justification, and perhaps delay or even out rate plans. They cannot magically say lower your rates.
  18. I finally got a chance to watch the Lauer gong show. Clinton was very articulate and answered the questions clearly. Trump only answered one question (illegal immigrants who want to serve in the Armed Forces), in all other cases he went entirely off on a tangent. People may not like what Clinton has to say, and many will probably say she is being untruthful, but at least you will get an answer. Trump is just a bag of wind. I suggest anyone who disagrees, actually watch the Trump segment and tell me what questions they think he answered.
  19. Isn't that the person in a Trump hotel that arranges a hooker for you. The world is a very different place, and the application is not at all comparable.
  20. The world has been a very violent place. Yes, since the end of the cold war most of that violence has been in 'Muslim' countries (North Korea is a notable exception). Note that the West (and Soviets) has interfered in most of those countries with significant violence. It is not that Muslims are getting worse, it is that the other parts of the World have healed faster/better.
  21. Last night was a couple of interviews by Matt Lauer of both Clinton and Trump. It was not a town hall, and the candidates did not face off. I was going to watch it, but other things happened and I forgot to PVR it (will look on web). From what I am hearing, Matt Lauer is taking a lot of heat for basically having a biased agenda with Clinton and allowing Trump to walk over him. The actual debates will be interesting to see.
  22. True, but not sure what your point is? What nuclear programs did Reagan start. I am aware he restarted enhanced radiation weapon (neutron bomb) production but more as a threat and shut it down again. The only real weapon you could assign to Reagan would be the MX missile (aka Peacekeeper) that was deployed on his watch. It was a replacement weapon, and designed and developed long before Reagan came on the scene. He was however the catalyst for it becoming operational.
  23. How many Muslims in the West (your qualification) live by the Qu'ran (the Old Testament like passages)?
  24. Now isn't that cute, just a few months ago we were being told that Trudeau will do whatever Wynne wants. I do wish you guys could get your story straight.
  25. Do they, or are they just willing to work for peanuts and distort our economy to provide welfare for the farmer? How many of the TFWs are actually earning the promised $30/hour?
