  1. A mask protects others, not the wearer. If you are committed to helping the vulnerable, you should wear a mask around them.
  2. Using the Charter to oppose bike lanes.  New attitude-if I personally don't like it, it violates my rights!

It’s a bit controversial. Safety can never be perfect. What benefits people in one way can cause issues for others in another way.

      Like facemasks, for example.   ;)

  3. Except, as above, if she's not a believer, she's not a true Conservative. The article is wasted on those who need it most.
  4. Maybe - I wondered this morning, when I heard they were unfreezing bank accounts, what was up. Unvoking the Emergencies Act was a stupid and unnecessary action for him to take - and now he has to backpedal while trying to save face. Pretty laughable, imo. I think Trudeau should no longer be leading the Liberal Party, or Canada.
  5. Oh look ... it's back ... Trudeau Revokes Emergency Act Will you admit that you were entirely wrong? (Although, the story is from MSM, specifically Global, so no doubt you'll think they're lying.)
  6. Only for a minute though.
  7. /s means I was being sarcastic. If you seriously think healthy people never get a disease, you are even dumber than I thought.
  8. It's simply amazing that perfectly healthy people ever get colds, the flu, pneumonia, cancer, malaria, zika, leukemia, HIV, any autoimmune disease - any disease at all. Surely they must all be lying - our immune system is perfectly capable of protecting us from any and all disease - as long as we're healthy. /s
  9. Fascist, though - you'll call people you disagree with fascist.
  10. Guess we know who you are.
  11. He said at least twice that he didn't believe it was about white supremacy. Can't you at least try reading and comprehending instead of throwing shit around like an enraged two-year-old.
  12. How the left and right are being manipulated - the truck convoy turns into an opportunity for Russia. Most Canadians probably think that the right-wing U.S. Fox News network has dominated global coverage of Canada’s so-called “Freedom Convoy.” But they’d be wrong. Russia Today, or RT, a state-owned agency set up by President Vladimir Putin in 2005 with an annual budget of $400 million, has offered nearly twice as many articles: some 1,200 stories. RT’s editor-in-chief has alternately described the agency as an unofficial “soft power” branch of the Russian Defence Ministry and as an “info weapon.”
  13. This much I'm starting to agree. Still think the protester's methods were wrong. Removing them was needed, the Emergency Act was overkill.
  14. It's especially funny considering how often Trudeau has been mocked for having no power or say in the world outside Canada.
  15. You could just disavow the carrying of Nazi flags, instead of excusing it by claiming the guy (through hearsay, no less) is from Eastern Europe and he thought it was some statement against Trudeau. i agree, Trudeau has not helped the situation at all; he's been over-the-top in his statements rather than responding in a measured manner.
  16. I wouldn't believe it, just like I don't believe protesters in Ottawa are being mowed down by horses. You assume too much on too little.
  17. I don't believe it either. But it's no different than saying that people who carry Nazj flags and bring guns to the protes are plants by leftists.
  18. They're not 3000 lbs, not even Clydesdales. And the horses aren't "running over" people; to do that, the horse would have to be running full tilt with no way to avoid people. They are walking into the crowd, so people will give way. It's not that horses can't be dangerous, but these horses are trained for this kind of work. Hyperbole doesn't make you smart, it just lessens your credibility.
  19. I liked it, especially the info about exactly how and how often rights are curtailed in Canada.
  20. Mistating what someone says means you've lost the debate.
  21. Government can't vote on emergency act, because they can't access parliament buildings ... as if they haven't been having zoom meetings for the last two years. Ridiculous.
  22. Odd, then, that business owners were on camera saying they couldn't operate their businesses because of the truckers. This is what I mean by dishonesty; if you don't like it, it didn't happen. I'm not blaming the right; I'm blaming the protesters. I imagine there are also some leftists in the crowd, as well. Just as there are rightists among those who disapprove.
  23. I've already said I don't think the government should have taken this step. I'm sure removing the protesters could have been done differently, as many environmental/indigenous protesters have discovered.
