  1. I think this is wrong. I may disagree with the anti-vaxxers, but that doesn't mean I think they shouldn't be allowed to make their own choices, even if I think they're dumb choices. Exclusion from some public spaces was appropriate, and is enough 'stick' for my taste. Fining people is just one step too far, imo, solves nothing and makes these even more convinced they're some kind of martyrs.
  2. Christopher Key really did say "Drink Urine" - here's a link, courtesy of Reddit.  BTW, he's the founder of "Vaccine Police".

At first Pfizer wanted 75 years to release the data associated with their vaccine.  A judge has now ordered it to be 8 months, thankfully.

Where do you find Vitamin D in 10,000 iu capsules? Are you sure it's safe at that high a dosage?

They are generally sold in 1000iu capsules or tabs.  I take whatever falls out of the bottle each day, sometimes it's 5 or 6, sometimes I take more if it's been a sunless week or so. 4000iu is recommended for normal people, for optimum health.  But in Canada, we generally need a bit more.

I'm not sure what is safe anymore, haha.  I just know I've taken vit d and a bunch of other stuff for 25 years, haven't had a cold or flu in almost a decade and rarely get sick.  2 years into the deadliest pandemic in human history (?) and I'm somehow still alive, watching all the double and triple jabbed get sick around me.  So Imma just continue doing what I'm doing. Knock on wood.....

  3. This does not say what you imply, nor is it news. It's apparent to anyone with any common sense that a vaccine developed for one strain of a disease will be less effective against different strains. That's why we get flu shot every year, instead of one that lasts forever.
  4. I think they should be eligible for EI, which is self-limiting but would give some time for the situation re: Covid to resolve and/or the unvaxed to have their concerns about the vaccine addressed. Some never will of course, but I think it's a mistake to make these people into martyrs. I also don't think there's any reason why the choice shouldn't be vaccine or daily testing, instead of vaccine or fired. Our health care system certainly needs some work, but I think that's an issue separate from the current crisis. This crisis simply exacerbates the existing issues. Maybe something will change in that regard post-pandemic. How do you envision parallel health systems?
  5. Rentals in Toronto are very expensive, but you can probably find what you want if you have enough money. Canada is generally pretty welcoming to immigrants, but there are some requirements. Here's a link. https://www.canada.ca/en/services/immigration-citizenship.html
  6. What would constitute force in your mind? Fines? Prison time? Police knocking on your door, needle in hand? Something else? Job loss already seems pretty coercive to me, but as long as it's individual employers requiring vaccines, I figure they have the right and the employee still has a choice, as hard as it is. But if government were to mandate that only vaccinated people can work, that'd be over the line for me.
  7. I agree unvaxed shouldn't be hated, and JTs comments are reprehensible. It is silly to draw comparisons between Jews and unvaxed: Jews could not change their Jewishness by taking a vaccine; they were stuck with no options. Unvaxed have options and the limits on their freedoms are minimal and temporary. It is difficult for people who are willing to lose their job to remain unvaxed. But I think employers have the right to set certain requirements for their staff and the right to dismiss employees who do not comply. Governments are also employers, and their mandates only apply to their employees. (In Canada, other countries may do things differently).
  8. More people could vote instead of less?
  9. He said "leftists .... Like ants in your house, they need to be eliminated." If he'd mean leftist ideology, he would have said so. Matter of opinion. It's the right wing who've set up a law that rewards people for turning in their neighbors.
  10. He's talking about killing off people who don't agree with him politically. Such hatred, from either side, doesn't solve problems, only creates them. The OP, as ignorant as it is, doesn't suggest right wingers should be exterminated.
  11. It's heartbreaking that so many people have been so seriously affected by this pandemic, whether directly or indirectly. IMO, the response of our health system is understandable given our overall lack of preparedness for any kind of crisis. But the triage approach that has been employed is pretty standard in crisis situations. A real life story of triage. My partner was in emerg because he'd fallen, was in extreme pain and could not walk; a doctor examined him, said he'd order an x-ray and get him painkillers. We waited, but no painkillers were forthcoming. Eventually I found a nurse and asked when the painkillers would come. He looked at me and said "That man over there is dying, we'll get to you as soon as we can." My partner eventually needed surgery and was in hospital several days. That was just one dying patient putting everyone other patient in the department on hold. Now imagine a dozen dying patients, every day, all day, for months on end. Imagine that every available, remotely qualified person in the hospital being called in to help. Imagine people who've been retired being called in to help. Imagine students, not yet graduated, but having enough knowledge to provide support, being called in. Who's left to do the regular, non-urgent care? Not many. I'm sure nobody wanted to suspend cancer screenings or less-urgent-than-actively-dying surgeries. But in the moment, triage is what happens. People who died because Covid triage delayed their medical care are tragic, just as tragic as people who die from Covid. Nobody wins here. This is why there is so much anger towards anti-vaxers: they are still the heaviest Covid users of our ICUs, requiring even more triage than we've already endured.
  12. It's called triage. Covid patients come in on the brink and are given life-saving care. Someone who isn't in crisis comes in, and has to wait, sometimes too long. I agree with Michael that it's a tragedy that we needed to triage in this way.
  13. Vaccines are a treatment for Covid. I support anything else supported by science for treatment of Covid. Happy about the anti-viral pills coming out now.
  14. Oh, and now you admit I was right. I'll be right this time too.
  15. Oh, look at you go, tossing insults because someone won't read your links. Did you get your little feelings hurt?
  16. If you say so. I don't read your links any more. No credibility.
  17. It's all lies, part of big Pharma's agenda to make million$ off the Covid vaccine, don'cha know.
  18. I'd be surprised if any actually insisted on passports. I don't know what you think they're doing, or why you think they're doing it, so no opinion on that.
  19. And your saying it, while staying out of jail. Notice that?
  20. As he presents a binary choice. A 20-year-old unvaxed person is more vulnerable than a vaxed 20-year-old and should stay home. A 30-year-old unvaxed person is more vulnerable than a vaxed 30-year-old and should stay home. Etc. The more vulnerable should stay home, according to anti-vax proponents.
  21. Nobody's banned from grocery stores per government mandate. Grocery stores are given a choice of requiring passports or enforcing physical distancing.
  22. I don't know where you are, but the youth here have been attending school and having "healthy school and social experiences" since June of 2020. Seems to me that if this were a power grab to a fascist State, the same restrictions would be in place everywhere, not differ between Provinces, countries and regions.
