  1. It might affect the questions that were asked, or the responses given.
  2. The only thing that we can do that makes any sort of difference, is to fight ISIL with everything we've got and hope that the good muslims build/rebuild or stand up for themselves. Inviting them to Canada solves nothing - absolutely nothing, well, it gives us a warm feeling but the picture or the bucket is way too big at this point. In all honesty, if you connect the dots, it's all ready too late for the anglos to help anyone including themselves. The radical muslims know they'll take over, it's only a matter of what group comes out on top.
  3. Yes, they're not ALL bad - we get it. Problem is, most of the leaders and Imans are...and even the minority who do believe in harsh Sharia Law number in the tens of millions - maybe hundreds of millions...if you believe credible stats.
  4. I just want to point out that my views about gay and women's right have not changed. If I use that in an argument, it's in amazement that you people can rally around these issues for western people, but seem to care not for those struggling with even harsher circumstances in muslim countries. If we challenge the gender pay gap, or wether the taxpayers should foot the bill for a gay pride parade or build a wedding cake, you'll run around with hair on fire screaming bigotry, but when girls are getting stoned to death and gays getting executed, you'll defend the perpetrators with everything you've got. So, where is the real hypocrisy?
  5. Yeah, it's been the Sunni's vs. the Shiite's in a religious war since...well, just after Mohammed's time. And to compare a war for political reasons to a religious war like this is naive for sure - even sheer ignorance.
  6. Whatever they were doesn't change the fact that the police had an arranged ambush site. They didn't even try to take them when they first stopped because they wanted to steer them into the ambush site. Road block and agents hiding in trees is an ambush. And, the guy had his hands up when shot - I guarantee that! As for having a gun, I guess we'll just take that on word.
  7. Do I have a lot of sympathy for the old man? Not really, I think he wanted to go out in a blaze of bullets! Do I think he was unarmed and had his hands up? Yes, I do! Do I think this was an arranged ambush? Yes, I do! White or not, Christian or not, gun nut or not, what happened happened. But, when It happens to a black man, I hope you people are as giddy as you are about this shooting, but I doubt it!
  8. Still wouldn't matter. You end up in a ditch and it is legally "entirely your fault". Who else would be at fault? It's just a poor example, try to give a better one next time.
  9. Wrong and wrong! Most people in large groups take a mob mentality and try to change things - you see it everywhere and you see it everyday. What do you think a demonstration is? And, If you could read the minds of people, you'd be the one surprised at just how many Canadians are either pro-gay or simply indifferent. I know a lot of religious people and there almost all to a person either supportive or indifferent - even if they don't agree with their lifestyle.
  10. By law, that's exactly what the police and insurance company would say.
  11. Hurts the citizens of what country? Ours?
  12. ^^Well, I'm not going to go into spike strips and video skips. But, when you make threats that you won't be taken alive and that you'll go out shooting, you sort of lose the benefit of doubt as to your intentions. With that said, I believe this was a no weapons, hands up police shooting.
  13. Well, you probably right about those lights. I wouldn't be surprised that there were police with laser sites on the scene. You can put those on any gun. I think that this was an old fashioned "Bonnie and Clyde style" ambush. The cops likely didn't want to address the issue when the truck was stopped, in the expectation that they'd take them out farther down the road. The more I see the video, the more I'm convinced that the cop who ran out from behind the Dodge pick-up started shooting while his hands were up. I'd bet anything the autopsy show this.
  14. I agree with Kimmy, definitely the brake light at the top of the cab. However, my suspicion is that he had his hands up and he wasn't reaching into his pocket, he looked like he had been shot in that side by the cop on the road and was reacting to that by putting his hand down to the wound (that would seem to be a natural reaction). If you play with the bull....well, you get it. I think it's strange that the Michael Brown thing caused so much hysteria when it was clearly based on a lie, yet those same people seem smug...almost giddy about this dude being killed. Personally, I'm indifferent, but this looks like an ambush and killing of a dude with his hands up.

  16. Nobody has isolated them, but them. And, who said anything about confrontation? This guy is not an unfriendly neighbour who we is holding our ball in the backyard, this is a third year despotic dictator who has shown nothing close to reasonability.
  17. No! Not on the "off chance" of anything. If they release any Canadians they are currently holding....then sure, but not without political discussion and a resolution first.
  18. I have no interest in seeing Canadians going over there to entertain that scumbag..."dance, monkey dance". I doubt the NHLPA would allow it anyway.
  19. Why the hell does it always have to be us that "reaches out" to other countries? No kissing asses of despots.
  20. The dude with the taser should be charged too.
  21. Sorry, it's human nature and women aren't exempt. If a chick looks like Kaley Cuoco, she'll get out of a ticket before someone woman who looks like Rosie O'Donnell, And an attractive guy will get better treatment from a female than an ugly (or average) guy will. Sorry, I don't make the rules, I just recognize them.
  22. You don't think women judge guys on their looks? While an adorable sentiment, it's totally wrong.
  23. Look, I'm the youngest sibling with many older sisters (with friends). One thing I can say without a question of doubt is this; If 2 guys are at a pool by themselves for whatever reason, and one looks like George Clooney and the other looks like Nick Nolte's mugshot, you can easily guess which one is accused of "leering".
  24. You're looking at it all wrong. I think rather than calculate "rapes per asylum seeker" as you're doing, Waldo perhaps just looks at rapes and assaults differently. I think what he's trying to say is that 500 or so sexual assaults in one city in a single night is just not enough to raise any concern. I don't know how many sexual assaults should happen before these people decide to care. My speculation, based solely on their argument of just how many immigrants there are leads me to think it would have to be in the thousands. Of course that number could increase as the refugee numbers also increase.
  25. The women's perspective is this; The guy looks like a 7+, he's looking....If the guy looks like a 6 or under, he's leering.
