  1. 30 seconds in, no point in listening anymore. You must have something for us that is better than this? Or not
  2. That's what they all do these days. One group thinks Trump is the saviour of mankind, the other thinks he is Shaitan, come to bring the end of days. Reality is somewhere between these extremes.
  3. I have no idea who "Hannity" even is. I don't care much for panels of so-called experts giving opinions to feed us, which often amounts to gossip presented as news. This is how the media is being put out these days and it's pathetic.
  4. This situation is disgraceful and cruel. My elderly Mom has one of those mailboxes in her area where she has to walk there to see if she has mail. It is not a lot of fun to do so for her, and especially in the winter. There is no parking, and furthermore the area around the boxes is frequently not cleared of snow or ice. She mentioned to me just the other day how there was a lot of snow blocking access to the boxes, unless you could climb over it and she is rather frail. I know there must be many like her in the same situation. She found out it is supposed to be cleared by the city workers, but often overlooked.
  5. When I was very young, say between 7 - 10 years old or so, I didn't like girls. A completely normal attitude for a child that age, and many of the girls thought the same way. If at that time I had seen a poster such as this, there's no question I would have felt confused. Especially the part "physically attracted to:". I liked my friends... girls were gross. And if at that time the teacher explained these things in the context of gender identity or sexual preference, I might have thought, maybe I am gay!
  6. Well you don't know me but it's never happened to me. Except for my Mom when I was a kid, with the wooden spoon... I was a baaad boy!
  7. I see, so obstruction of investigating the collusion that didn't happen. Yep.
  8. Canadian media not invited to the meeting between Trudeau and Netanyahu. Why? Probably because he does not want Canadians to see and hear him making political concessions which expose his grandstanding as lies.

The Prime Minister's Office sent an email to the media to announce a last-minute meeting between the two men even though it had been mentioned several hours earlier in the Israeli media.

The PMO later apologized for the late notice and promised to provide a summary of what it called a "last-minute pull-aside."

Wow, Harper didn't invite the media to anything for 10 years and you are complaining about this.

      I complain about many things.

  9. I don't need to sir. While I respect you and understand you're different in some ways and not purely here to troll, you do at times take cheap shots same as the rest. If it is in jest, that is fine. But generally it often gets out of hand and leads to pathetic communication. So what say you, shall we step it up or step it down?
  10. Right off the bat I would say I object to this coming under the purview of schools and the boards anyway. They should not be involved in the promotion of social hot-button topics, where there is great controversy and divide in our country. I always advocate that as long as people mind their own business, there will be less problems. Schools, especially at elementary level should not be teaching anything like this. Sensitive topics concerning gender should be introduced in late high school and beyond, and in general should not be compulsory. There are many families who are devoutly religious and would oppose their young children being exposed to such exclusively liberal ideas. Forcing an agenda is a lack of respect for their foundational beliefs.
  11. You have also shown yourself to be not above such a thing. But if we can maintain a reasonable level of respect, there is no problem. As a wise man said... "Physician, heal thyself!"
  12. Agreed about the extremists views, but if we're going to have the conversation then we need to immediately shut down the accusatory, ad-hominem nonsense. Hard to have a conversation when being purposely trolled in order to shut it down.
  13. No, he opened by attacking you, then has the nerve to insinuate you're being childish. That's just more of the problem you outlined in the OP right back at ya.
  14. At least we still have a dick.
  15. This makes sense, given the rise in number of effeminate liberal males in our society.
  16. Representatives from Canada's automotive industry condemn Canada's decision to sign the TPP-

The TPP agreement will make it easier for TPP countries to import vehicles to Canada while hampering the Canadian auto industry’s ability to compete. At the same time, the U.S. has proposed increasing the North American content rule under NAFTA to 85 per cent, and introducing a U.S.-content rule of 50 per cent.

“That regional content means the majority of the parts and materials for vehicles can come from outside TPP countries — namely China — and you didn’t get anything in return,” Volpe said.

It appears that Trudeau and his financial geniuses have screwed the country. Smooth move, ex-lax.

TPP deal is harmful to the auto industry and undermines Canada's position in NAFTA negotiations

Yes, the TPP is a bad deal. Who is the guy that came up with it?

Don't know. Why does that matter? Deals such as this go through a number of revisions in the negotiating process, until all parties agree.

So there'll be revisions and after they're done we'll probably be in an even worse position. Personally I have absolutely no faith in the abilities of this Liberal government.

  17. Perhaps a nice cabinet position. Think of the wonderful optics...
  18. Sure, I can dumb it down clarify my point a little for ya- The problem IS crime, not about immigration per se.
  19. The software has bugs, if you try to reply with a quote and then make some changes like trimming the quote, it sometimes screws up so you can't type your own text outside of the quote box. When that happens I find the only way to make it work again is to reload the page. @Greg
  20. What is not incredible is that you expected something more than this, since a short review of history would reveal both party's shifting stance on these issues as they seek to one-up each other for political gain. Because, remembering history is not your forte.
  21. Watching the talking bobble heads on CNN having difficulty coping and understanding what has happened... squirming in their seats, seeking to turn this around somehow and find a new outlet for their outrage... as one poster used to say, "It's gold, real gold!"
  22. Don't get me wrong here, I cannot accept that the world is a few thousand years old because that would require a totally fundamentalist interpretation of the bible. I too work in a high tech field, and have a great passion for science. Interestingly, many of the physicists I have worked with believe in god, and are devout christians, a fact they do not hide. That doesn't make them bad scientists, not at all. They're just kinda weird... but weirdness is what it takes sometimes, to go beyond the obvious and to "transcend" standard modes of thought. Sometimes great progress originates from the weird, or more precisely, the irrational. Einstein is reported to have said intelligence is not as important as imagination. He probably meant that it is important to have an open mind and to recognize that there can be other possibilities than what we know and are comfortable with.
