  1. Your posts are creating trouble for you lately which demonstrates the fact that moderation is one thing, while posting is another. We posters have had to learn how to live with the rules, and accept the decision of the moderator whether we agree or not. And now that you are on "the other side" it seems you must do likewise. I understand your frustration with the "shit-trolls" here at MLW as you once called us, but you need to realize that beating people over the head is not going to improve that. All forums have these problems, even your recent most sacred refuge, the "other site". The moderator there has had to do some of the same things as our moderator has to do, warn users and shut down threads. Question is, can you and the others who left this site in search of shangri-la draw any conclusion from this? The problem lies not in the name of the site, or its moderator. You asked for a suggestion- As a forum member who has been given warning points by you I can make one that is foundational to your success as a poster here: Report, Ignore, and Move on. Signed respectfully, A Shit-Troll.
  2. Sadly you have a point there, after what Nancy Pelosi said today. Pelosi mocks 'white guys'
  3. Mueller is investigating Russian collusion. Explain how these accusations are relevant?
  4. It will actually gain him votes. That is the whole point, someone needs to counteract the snowflake bullshit.
  5. Imagine hearing it full volume with multiple echoes. Now sing along... where are you? Be reasonable, the anthem is quite simple and well known. You fell for the media hyperbole again! There must be something better to discuss than this?
  6. More about nothing. If you had seen it live as I did you'd know, there was a ton of "echo" on the field.
  7. I think you've identified one of the key points of his platform that makes Donald Trump stand out, and seemingly to stand alone among today's politicians. He knew the right things to say about immigration during the election campaign. And he followed through on some of his promises. The travel ban only makes sense in light of this. It is NOT a Muslim ban, of course, as other Muslim nations don't fall under those restrictions. The proposed wall is an extension of existing walls and fences already in place, some parts built under Obama. The (Obama) bill called for the deployment of an additional 700 miles of fencing and technology along the U.S.-Mexico border – the same area Trump’s border wall would cover. The plan also devoted $40 billion over a decade to border enforcement measures and would double the number of border agents. It is all too easy to forget the facts when bombarded daily by insane, baseless media attacks.
  8. There were options before the election itself. Jeb Bush, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio to name a few. All defeated.
  9. Trump seeks to place controls on DACA as well as eliminate the lottery system-

"DACA is going to be terrific. Any legislation on DACA must secure the border with a wall, it must give our immigration officers the resources they need to stop illegal immigration, and also to stop visa overstays, and crucially, the legislation must end chain migration. It must end the visa lottery."

I guess this makes him more progressive than Justin Trudeau-
Liberals relaunch family reunification lottery despite angry backlash around 'immigration fiasco'
Government faced flood of emails, letters expressing outrage over new random selection process

Canadian Dreamers in the U.S. won't go home.   They must love Trump.

Canada doesn't even have a "DACA" program....that's just mean !

  10. Now that's what I call worthy satire! I also read Mad Magazine recently for the first time in, well, many decades. Many cartoons lampooning Trump, but also others as well. Outstanding!
  11. We can see how they in the deep state run the show.Just look at the media today.
  12. "But, but, but, we object!" "Overruled" "But, but, but, we STRONGLY object!"
  13. I like that. Draining the swamp can be a painful process, kinda like draining an infected tooth, or lancing a boil.
  14. I did not reference "cute", but rather that children are not born wicked and corrupt as you said. There was absolutely nothing wicked or corrupt in my children at least for the first several years of their life. It's one thing to say the POTENTIAL is there, but that potential does not necessarily need to be realized. -> So you don't agree that people in general are sinful or in rebellion against God. I never said that, but if you want to think so, go ahead. My view is, talking about a personal god such as you do entirely misses the point. What gives you the right to cast god in your image? That seems arrogant. Perhaps your form of proselytising is unacceptably simple to many who are too intelligent to accept it, and might even turn them away from searching for deeper meaning in their life and finding answers to the dilemma of existence, because they cannot believe in such a simple and conflicted narrative. Ever thought of that?
  15. Yes I realize that... you only said you want him out of office. Ok, fair enough. I didn't know much about him before the election, as I never watched his TV show. My first impression of him during the campaign was that he's just a fruitcake and would never make it, and yet here he is. My view now is what we are seeing is political theatre of the highest order, in all it's vicious, unabashed splendour. Trump may have started it though, by taking the incendiary position he did from the very beginning attacking both Democrats and Republicans. I understand your fears. I suspect that the system has enough "fail-safes" to prevent someone like a President from making a mistake that could lead to catastrophe. Not so for other, nuclear powered rogue nations. I fear them far more than I fear Donald Trump. I've said before, I don't think Hillary would have been the better choice because Kim Jong Un is very likely a chauvinist, and may have reasons for despising her due to her past. Whenever Trump talks to him, he speaks at a level that he feels KJU understands. Yes it's a huge gamble... but there are few other options available. It's very late, in this game. Forgetting for just a moment all the nonsense, or who to believe, we might be witnessing a "metamorphosis" taking place in politics, as Trump the outsider is not just changing US laws and regulations, but the political zeitgeist of the day. Trump may very well view his interaction with other politicians and world leaders in the same vein as when discussing business transactions between companies. In business there are no permanent alliances, or permanent enemies. Trump is not bound by political tradition or history, though he seems to recognize that it exists. I'm not sure if I would call Trump post-national, but he could be post-political.
  16. Looking into the eyes of my newborn children, and raising them, watching them as they grew up, I cannot agree.
  17. Overpopulation seems linked to economics, in that those places with the highest birth rate and population density are generally the poorest regions in the world. They are also generally not considered "progressive". Conversely, the birth rate in western countries is such that the population is growing more slowly, or even declining. It seems reasonable to conclude that westernization of those poor regions including improved standard of living, education, becoming more liberal/ progressive would be a remedy, if it were at all possible. This is a very narrow view of course, not considering any other factors.
  18. Liberals 2017: "Trump colluded with Russia to win." Liberals 2018: "Trump never even wanted to win."

Uh...because he's owned by Russia. You really don't get it? I understand Russian trollbots don't have a problem with it, but actual Americans who are really living there do. You just wouldn't find anybody like that on this forum.

      Welcome back Omni/ hot enough/ Mr.Canada.

  19. Relax, you're not obligated to say that part in this forum.
  20. From what I've seen with these low paying jobs, they depend on having enough suckers who would work there for whatever they can get, and there are plenty of those around. Full time? Benefits? Vacation pay? Phhht. Sure, employers have "the right" to pay as little as they can get away with, but it's the rot. It takes us all down with it. I went to school, I now have a secure job and great pay. But I have seen companies advertising their jobs in engineering offering only $20/ hour, or even less. They will find someone from a foreign country who has come here to start a new life, and who is desperate enough to take crap like that. But it sets a new standard- if they can do the work at that low wage, so can everyone else.
  21. I have asked this question of others, but still haven't heard a convincing reason: Why do you want him out of office? What specifically do you feel he has done, that is PROVEN, that warrants impeachment?
  22. Yeah but no way I would give Putin/ Russia a pass. Surely they are looking after their own best interests. Home is where the heart is. it doesn't really matter what side of the pond you're sitting on. Your master, my master. We are all being deceived, in the grand scheme of things, but I do not give a crap. As long as I can have my beer and watch the hockey game. Seriously though it is far better to reach out and find common ground, and work towards defeating our enemies. What galls me is when I see people fanatically attacking/ fearing Russia, while arguing that Donald Trump should shut up about Kim Jong Un, lest he make the little fat man get angry. The little fat man is already angry, and he has the Big Fuckin Gun. This is an issue of real concern, not the bullshit we are being fed/ distracted with.
  23. Might explains the current US administration position on Pakistan- Pakistan says UN vote on Jerusalem will send message “United States should decide whether to stand with the world or an occupying force which is the reason for instability and chaos in the Middle East. Pakistan is among the countries which have co-sponsored this resolution. We are hopeful that the General Assembly will adopt this with a heavy majority.” Dr Lodhi’s statements came ahead of a United Nations vote on a motion rejecting US recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, under strong pressure from President Donald Trump who has threatened to cut funding to countries that back the measure. ETA- Rand Paul: "I’m introducing a bill to end aid to Pakistan in the coming days. My bill will take the money that would have gone to Pakistan and put it in an infrastructure fund to build roads and bridges here at home." I can't see that as being a bad decision. Trump economics?
  24. Those damned Russians may well have us at each other's throats, just like the little trolls who come on here like to do. Staying calm, not reacting, keeping a more balanced view wouldn't hurt anybody.
