  1. Canada must fight the Islamists wherever they are in the world. Otherwise we will have "an unlimited number of Islamist militants" here in our country. These people are not sitting on their hands.
  2. Those tumbleweeds look like they've got someplace importañt to go. Get out of their way! Let those tumblweeds on through.
  3. Ontario enters the twilight zone...
  4. Bet they wish they still had Patrick Brown, hey?
  5. And what happened to Mr. Trudeau and his ministers promises? "Big changes is a' coming...just you wait and see..." Not even an appeal, eh? The Court has bitch-slapped them, right in the mouth.
  6. Seems like Trump's tough talk is exactly the kind of language little boy Kim understands. Experts say Trump's tough rhetoric and sanctions have brought North Korea to the negotiating table - MSN.com
  7. Dumb comments shown on a comedy video are not important. If by "brutal" you mean stupid, as opposed to brutal like Stalin, Hitler, or antisemitic brutal, then yes. Stupid is not important. Not particularly eloquent in front of the microphone is not a game changer. Ability to lead, ability to WIN... that is.
  8. 1) Gee thanks for the cheap shot. I never said that, and I don't know what you mean by brutal, or which Ontarians you are referring to. If any candidate has made "brutal" comments, I'd like to know about them. 2) The left is just as responsible for the lack of unity as the right. Kathleen Wynne has engaged in her own form of culture war complete with driven agenda. 3) If they're not your party, then I guess you can't be taken seriously when you try to provide advice on who is an "able candidate".
  9. I'm ok with any of that, because it's not important. Political policy objectives of the new party leader is important, however. Please post criticisms again, when you have something more substantial.
  10. That video is complete nonsense. I'm all for giving criticism where it's due, but silliness like that only annoys and actually detracts from valid critical argument.
  11. Please stay and help to improve the grade level.
  12. Donald Trump indicates that there will be no exemption on steel and aluminum tariffs for Canada, unless certain concessions in the NAFTA negotiations go his way- Trump tweets no steel break for Canada without ‘new & fair’ NAFTA deal (March 5 2018) Justin Trudeau says steel tariffs move by Trump ‘makes no sense’ (3 Days ago) The shit is chess, not checkers.
  13. Interesting twist to this little story, isn't it? I've looked into this a bit, hard to tell yet if it was done on purpose, but I noticed this: Trudeau, speaking in Barrie, Ont., says the tariff increase was a domestic decision that doesn’t specifically target Canada, and that he had productive discussions with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on increasing the predictability of future tariffs. Link Who says these Indians have no sense of humour?
  14. Because various factions wanted to break away from the over-arching "federalism" of the Austro-Hungarian empire?
  15. Government will spend $1 billion dollars to fix Phoenix pay system?!? I'm in the wrong line of work.

  16. Yep, that's Donald Trump. Good old president poopy-pants.
  17. Bridge the great divide

    1. AngusThermopyle

      AngusThermopyle

Still one of the coolest bridges in the world, in my opinion anyway.

  18. Most likely because we cannot cross the cultural divide, especially where humour is concerned. It's like watching Chinese cartoons without any context. You know there is a joke in there somewhere, but you have no point of reference. It's like swimming in deep water, in total darkness. And that inspires me write a Haiku: Swimming in the dark, there is nothing to cling to. This pool is too deep.
  19. Thanks, I keep an open mind when people present intelligent ideas without trolling! I found that the NRA is already opposing any changes to gun laws proposed by the US government- Gun lobby pushes back on Trump's gun plans after Florida shooting The National Rifle Association pushed back on Sunday against modest proposals by President Donald Trump and other Republicans to change U.S. gun laws after a school shooting in Florida that killed 17 students and staff. The powerful gun lobby group does not support Trump’s proposals to raise the age limit for buying certain types of guns and to ban bump stocks that enable semi-automatic rifles to shoot hundreds of rounds a minute, a spokeswoman said on ABC’s “This Week.” Should be interesting to see how far this goes, whether Trump will cave to them, or force his ideas through.
  20. I think you've raised some some interesting points. I don't fully understand the role the NRA plays in "lobbying", if that's what they do, for gun rights.
  21. I see. Bad mood again, so pick on OftenWrong. Abyss looking back at you the wrong way today?
  22. Your cryptic utterances are nothing short of beffudling to me. Tell you what, once you start questioning the way leftists give unsubstantiated, baseless opinions on virtually everything, you might have a sensible point to make. Sorry fella
  23. Poor little Omni is always waiting for the next "big thing". How's that working out for ya?
