  2. Courtenay-Comox MLA Brennan Day says he received a letter from a Maine State Senator suggesting Western provinces join the U.S. Apparently that letter was sent to many Canadian politicians

  3. So the IDF won’t let foreign journalists into Gaza ONLY because it SO concerned about their welfare? Is this what you really believe? I think my work is done here. The horses have been led to water.

  4. Your naked link PROVES NOTHING. Spreading climate misinformation is fast becoming a shortcut to popularity across right-wing media. This man’s rise proves it. NO ONE is advocating "freaking out" and your HYPERBOLE just REVEALS YOUR DESPERATION.

  5. They've done nothing. Muslims are pouring into Western countries, COMPLETELY against the will of their people, and yet leftist governments are standing in the doorway, holding it wide, eagerly waving them in. People are starting to riot in places like Ireland, the UK, Spain, and Belgium, but their leftist governments keep bringing in more Muslims, who are also starting to riot. By every measurement, economic or social, Muslims are a disaster in the West. They don't integrate. Their loyalty is to each other and not whatever nation they're in, they have very high levels of unemployment, social service use, and commit a lot more crime, especially sexual crimes, and still leftist governments keep bringing them in. That's because to the Left, the Muslim is the most holy of all victims and must be protected regardless of the damage to their own countries or even their own parties. Don't be a fool. It's a militant ideology. It comes complete with a legal code for both family and criminal law, and a style of government. No other 'religion' has so many adherents swearing that it will encompass the world, or that they won't stop fighting until it does. No other religion gives its followers carte blanche to attack any land ruled by unbelievers, or to attack unbelievers. Oh, don't be a dolt. There have been tens of thousands of terrorist attacks all over the world in the name of Islam and how many in the name of Buddha or Jesus? If you go and burn a bible will a Christian find you and cut off your head? If you write a mocking play about Mormons, will a Mormon Bishop call for your death? How many times has the UN denounced Iran or Saudi Arabia compared to Israel? How many womens/feminist groups ever bring up the treatment of women under Islam? They couldn't even bring themselves to criticize the mass rape of Israeli girls and women on Oct 7 because Islam and Muslims are beyond criticism. They are the holy victims to the Left, no matter what they do. Want to make the national news and get the attention of the prime minister? Pull on a Muslim girl's hijab.

  6. Yeah it WOULD be nice if you had any of that. You don't of course I love that you're bringing back dunning kruger. For those who may be new, robosmith discovered this term about a year and change ago and for about 6 months EVERYTHING was dunning kruger. It was hilarious! "You're argument is very Dunning Kruger", "Too bad Dunning Kruger makes you wrong" "you really dunning kruger'd that!!!" LOL it was a noun, it was a verb, it was an adjective, and occasionally even a conjunction. It got just silly at points, "this cereal is too dunning kruger for my tastes" There's a handful of words or phrases this happens to him with over time, my other big fave is "cognative dissonence" which he used every way possible EXCEPT the correct one So it's nice to see this making a come back , i got a lot of laughs out of the last time he fell in love with it!

  7. The site is managed and edited by Thomas Richard, a freelance semi-retired writer who has been published in LifeZette, Breitbart, the now-defunct Examiner.com, Blasting News (before it got hijacked by the Left), and more. "before it got highjacked by the left'..... enough said 😂 What cause? This is about the SPCA now...

  8. So we remove the tariffs on Chinese EVs? Please, lets do that now. Especially if the toddler in charge of the US insists he doesn't want Canadian-made cars. Do we go to 45/47 and say, remove the tariff on Canadian built cars and parts or do we allow China to flood the market with EVs that are better and cheaper than what's on the market now. I just got a new EV, It was made in Mexico. It's great, but was definitely expensive. I'm leasing it because I'm making a bet that by the time this Lease is done, if not before, I'll be in the market for a BYD. This is the problem with tariffs, it lets governments pick winners and losers in different industries. Also the Big Three have admitted they're profitability is being killed by these tariffs. It's only a matter of time before TACO has to back down or car companies we do want have to substantially raise prices.

  10. Nobody should be creating threads titled with a poster's name. That is an abuse of the politics discussion forum. This is an obvious attempt to smear one individual. It is a deplorable use of the forum.

  11. But why not kill him immediately? Why threaten him first? Can you see the problem there? The only thing important to the IDF was his journalism. They wanted to stop that. For reasons blindingly obvious to most people who consider the matter.

  15. I don't share the idea that we're one step away from being an authoritarian state. If people generally do their 'healthy outdoor activities' in the now tinderbox woods, maybe they can do something crazy like going to a local park or walking/running on the streets. People have lost homes and livelihoods and we have a group of people who are more concerned about walking in the woods that are on fire. I have a lot empathy for the people that have been affected. I have zero for the people whining about this. Just my 2 cents....

  16. I'm suggesting the fixation on Israel as the centre of all condemnation is not because of what Israel is doing but because Jews are doing it to Muslims, and the Left feels it must side with and protect Muslims from the evil white man, regardless of reasoning. No matter what the Muslims do, the Left feels they are the holy victims and must be protected from all criticism and attack. No one can be permitted to attack Muslims except other Muslims. Sudan is a lot worse than Gaza right now, with death and destruction, mass rape, starvation, and cholera epidemics. Where are the marchers? Where is the condemnation from Western media and politicians? Nobody cares.

  21. The killing of Anas Al-Sharif followed a timeworn pattern. Only after he became a successful reporter on Al Jazeera did the Israelis start sending him death threats, telling him to give up his career on TV. If they had the slightest worry about him as a genuine military target they could have killed him without warning but they didn’t do that. He was killed after he became a media star. The motive could not be more obvious.

  22. And then tell him about "the law of mirroring." It's a form of projection... the afflicted individual reflects their own failings on others and it explains why some people attract the same problems, conflicts and interactions over and over again. The law of mirroring explains that we aren’t only attracting certain circumstances into our lives, we are actually getting glimpses of who we are through how we perceive others As a wise man on this very forum once said: Look at the post ABOVE YOURS to find the explanation that you WON'T UNDERSTAND, cause you're dumber than dirt. Guess who wrote that Robo?

Either the most brilliant of the profession, looking for notoriety, want financial gain, or just totally inept. Got to be one those???

Are you serious.... the last thing I'm concerned about is being able to compete with your self-professed intellect. You're a f*cking joke little man. Truly, you're a pathetic little loser who clearly has f*ck all going for himself in the game of life.... Keep trying little man.

  31. lol... trust you got the sarcasm 😬 I think you mean the soon to be ex-leader of the Tory party.... They have a problem with this guy, as they've had with all their most recent leaders. This guy is just simply not likeable and has been branded as that. I don't care if he wears contacts instead of glasses, goes to great clips for a fancy haircut, or takes likability lessons. He has no charisma and people have a set opinion of him. That's not going to change.

  32. Probably to your surprise because I don't buy into the typical right wing BS, no I'm not a proud left winger. I'm not political party tied but admittedly lean more to the left of center for a number of ideals. Otherwise have always voted for who I thought would best serve the country regardless of party, and neither Trudeau if he stuck around or the soon to be ex-leader of the conservative party was getting my vote in the last election. Rant away right wing Dude... There's a handful of your ilk out here how eat that stuff up! 👍 Yeah, I can tell that by the amount of people out here who tell you the same thing I do. You're a partisan fool little man...

  33. Sure you do.... Yours is one man's (Roger Pielke) opinion piece from 2022. The number of natural weather disasters with damages of more than a billion dollars has increased over the last forty years. From 1980 to 2024, the US averaged 9 events per year, while the annual average for the most recent 5 years is 23. https://usafacts.org/articles/are-the-number-of-major-natural-disasters-increasing/

  37. That doesn't help Canola farmers. If that sector is dependent on China and they use Chinese EVs as leverage, there's not a lot we can do but find a new market for Canola. OR Realize that the auto industry we're protecting is not worth the cost.
    1 point
  38. Bang on... no easy answers here. The challenge/problem the Federal government has is the ~500K people directly or indirectly employed in the sector, which is also a Big 3 and others problem. EV or ICE, I can't believe that there won't be a mutually beneficial agreement before long with the US. It's hurting them and us and at some point common sense will prevail.

  39. Interesting scenario with auto industry.... Have thought of that possibility with China, but can't see how the Canadian auto industry would benefit with Chinese vehicles coming into our market. End of the day there are too many multi-billion dollar investments in Canada and the NA auto industry to walk away from because of Trump's asinine policies. Only a matter of time before this is sorted out as he tries to save face.

  40. Sorry, where was this precaution when you flooded the country with radical third world demographic change and complete reckless disregard for the safety of our citizens & future stability of the country? That's a far bigger existential threat than a hike through the wooda or even covid for that matter. Don't gaslight us on actually caring about the public safety when you invite an invasion and go soft on crime.

  42. To a degree. Again a number of churches took the gov't to task immediately and got wins. Where the gov't tends to win is when they're picking on people who are vulnerable and not orgnaized, where they can go after them one by one. Once they scared the unions off that meant employees, average people, young people, anyone who could easily be repressed and have their rights trampled. And that's what happened. I say that's bad. You say 'yay team'.
