Have you ever admitted that the jabs were nothing like we were told they'd be? Canadians snitched on each other and supported the gov't forcing young adults to take the jab, because they honestly thought that they'd stop or greatly slow the spread of covid, while knowing full-well that those young people didn't need it. Now we know that the jabs injured/killed people, and they were absolutely nothing like we were promised. Can you have a moment of humanity/humility eyeball, or do you still just have to pretend that the jabs's efficacy made all the fascism worthwhile?4 points

Another example of a Trump appointee who we all knew was wildly unqualified for the job proving that she's wildly unqualified for the job. I mean, she didn't text classified combat plans to a journalist and she didn't crash the stock market, so she's doing relatively well for this clown car administration, but still pretty alarming. News anywhere McMahon, 76, is the former CEO of World Wrestling Entertainment. She has been placed in charge of the Department of Education, which President Donald Trump has stated publicly he wants to disband. Speaking on a panel discussion about AI, she repeatedly referred to the technology as “A1.” “I heard, think it was in a letter or report that I heard this morning, I wish I could remember the source, but that there’s a school system that’s going to start making sure that first-graders, and even pre-K have A1 teaching in every year,” McMahon told the panel. “Kids are sponges,” she continued. “They just absorb everything. It wasn’t all that long ago that it was, ‘We’re going to have internet in our schools!’ Now let’s see A1 and how that can be helpful.” At least social media marketers can have some fun at our expense.3 points

I remember it was almost his very first day in parliament and the gallery was full including with his family and during question. Someone from the liberal bench made a comment about how he dishonestly seduced the electorate. He stood up and replied "that is absolutely nonsense! My wife is here in the gallery today and can confirm that i've never had the skills to seduce anyone in my whole life!" LOL. He was "reserved" for sure, but he knew it and owned it3 points

I watched an hour-long interview with Pierre & Anaida and it was really good. I didn't know their daughter is non-verbal. They've never mentioned it before. In the interview he talked about how he worries who will look after her after they're gone. He talked about how his parents lost their house in the 80's when the interest rates went way up and how much they struggled as a family. It was a side of him I don't think many people know.2 points

They had to stop sharing CBC and CTV articles because they were getting exposed as propagandists in the comments section. Then they tried to post articles with the comments turned off for a while but that didn't last long. "Sunlight is the best disinfectant" = CBC articles can't survive on social media.2 points

His campaign manager has been outspoken against Pierre. Slammed him for blowing the lead they had over the Liberals, though it was probably more that the other parties lost support. A lot of people are thinking he wants Pierre to crash and burn so he can become the leader of the party.2 points

Liberal's high immigration policy created housing crisis: report | Toronto Sun Has anyone with half a brain has known all along, immigration or rather population growth in excess of our housing growth has caused the housing crisis. There is no other factor that is relevant at this point. Now after 10 years of causing the problem they want to fix the problem We make the problem, we fix the problem. This is basically the equivalent of a glass company throwing bricks through people's windows with their business card attached.1 point

Canada Proud is dominating Facebook ahead of the election - The Logic Canada Proud is dominating Facebook ahead of the election By James Temperton Mar 31, 2025 | 1:55 PM ET Conservative advocacy group Canada Proud is dominating the discussion of the federal election on Facebook and Instagram as the Meta-owned platforms continue to block the sharing of all news content in Canada. Did the liberals shoot themselves in the foot? By banning canadian news on the american platform The liberals may very well have opened the door to Canada proud, which is a strong conservative group, to dominate Facebook as the official news source so to speak of the Canadian election. According to the article canada proud and it's comments and content are vastly out trending other sources on Facebook It will be absolutely hilarious if the liberal policy that Justin Trudeau demanded was necessary turns out to play a significant role in the destruction of the liberals1 point

I honestly don't know what honest polling would come up with. Neither do you. What I do know for sure is that CTV and CBC require polls that suit their narrative, period. They wouldn't print the truth unless it suited their needs.1 point

I sincerely hope this conversation is not a true representation of our Confederation. The hate and name calling is ridiculous. I feel sorry for any who think putting one person down raises you up. It doesn't. Thinking it does is a problem. I am ashamed to be part of this forum. We will see how the vote goes on the 28th. Good luck Canada.1 point

I couldn't agree more. Now he is planning to limit what seniors can do in the guise of protecting them from scams. Do for everyone or don't do it at all. Promising to use the Notwithstanding clause to limit the rights of criminals. A very serious precedent. Who and what is next. The thing is, people have seen the legacy media report things that were provably untrue. To some extent that is ok, because of course media can make mistakes. But there so many cases over the past decade or so where it seems obvious to people that these were not just mistakes. In order to advance a certain narrative they had to edit things a certain way or omit reporting on relevant facts that any qualified journalist would normally do. Cases where the most logical assumption is that the media is willfully being dishonest. This was easily observable during the Freedom Convoy because the media would be reporting on something awful that was happening, while at the same time tons of people right there were live streaming that exact thing. Now independent media is usually very biased. But they generally make no secret about that. People have seen them report on things that the regular media would not or report on certain stories more truthfully than the legacy media. They have seen them report things they know are true. In many cases those are things people in the legacy media are ignoring or being untruthful about. That is why more and more people are turning to independent media sources.1 point

In the last couple of days, Poilevre has been sounding more like Trump than ever: "Defund the CBC" = "Defund PBS", "three strikes you're out = "send American criminals to other countries". Keep journalists off the plane = Kick journalists out of the pool. It's like they've got the same playbook.1 point

I suppose you think the CBC does their own polling. They don't do any polling. They take all the other polls into account. Its an average of all the reliable polls based on past performance. Again a personal attack on me. You are consistent, I will give you that.1 point

So? What does that have to do with the topic at hand. She deserves it? CdnFox provided a much better counter-response. Yeah, I understand that. That's why I posted 'she says'. I know there are a lot of facts missing, but it's certainly a story worth paying attention to.1 point

On the face of it that's pretty bad, but there are a lot of reasons why that could happen that have nothing to do with politics. Provincial governments at least freeze people's bank accounts literally every day usually for non-payment of provincial taxes in one form or another such as property tax. Without knowing more details about why the bank account was frozen, which level of government froze it, etc it's impossible to say whether or not this is something worth being outraged over. It may very well be but we can't say from the facts presented here1 point

The very fact that you don't know is making @WestCanMans point. Of the six major pollsters two have been thoroughly discredited this election cycle, one out and out admitted earlier that they would do anything they could to get rid of Poilievre so that's no surprise, and two have had the conservatives credibly in the lead, one does right now. Legitimate shows like vassey kapelos's show Will mention that. rosie barton does not, and in fact only barely reluctantly acknowledges the lib lead is shrinking before screaming out again "BUT CARNEY IS STILL WAY AHEAD!!!" The CBC does the bare minimum amount necessary to make it look like they're not entirely 100% completely biased against the conservatives. But taken as a whole it is painfully obvious that they are biased and extremely so.1 point

That makes no sense at all Dave 😂 I didn't "change my mind and start following Ontario politics", I just listened to what two people said about Doug Ford ... FYI that's not "following Ontario politics". Did you know that Tonya Harding got her boyfriend to hit Nancy Kerrigan on the knee with a pipe before a competition? Does that mean that "you follow women's figure skating"? 😂😂😂 Guess what, Dave? Cdn and Couch Potato answered my questions about Ford and I took them at their word because unlike you, I have no problem vouching for the knowledge and credibility of people/organizations I trust. I have no problem stating unequivocally that Cdn Fox has more integrity than the CBC any day of the week. Period. I don't know couch potato as well but I've never caught them being dishonest so again, CP is ahead of the CBC by leaps and bounds. A man on the street instantly starts off with more credibility than CBC because I have no proof that his credibility is at zero.1 point

KK, usually when I want to talk about something, I try to find if someone already has a thread on it or find a thread that's appropriate to put my comment on but without the Search feature I don't know if or where Buttongate has been discussed. Carney apologizes for staffers who planted buttons at Conservative conference I'm sure the Liberal supporters here are sweeping this under the rug, but I think it needs more discussion. This was not a "joke", in my opinion. they wanted Conservative supporters to think the buttons had been provided for them by the Conservative Party and then would put them on, so Libs could take pics of them wearing Trump slogans and crow triumphantly to the media "Seeeeee??? Conservatives are just like Trump!" The conference this happened at was not for Conservative big-wigs. It was for everyday Conservative supporters. It's normal for politicians to go after their opponents. It's not normal for them to go after citizens. Well, it's normal for the Liberals, but not everyone else. The Liberals have a history of doing this - going after normal citizens. Trudeau campaigned in 2021 on a platform of hate for unvaccinated citizens. It's widely believed they sent in bad actors with a Nazi flag or Confederate flag into the Convoy to portray the protesters as right-wing extremists. They illegally called the Emergency Act against their own citizens. They then engaged in years-long, taxpayer funded lawfare against their own citizens - all of those cases have been mostly lost. A few mischief charges. The Diagolon guy beat all 23 charges brought against him by the gov't, throughout 5 trials. This is a government that goes after its own people. When Carney announced that he would be expanding Bill 63 to limit speech - that is terrifying. Bill 63 on steroids. Liberal supporters better wake up. You laughed and cheered while Trudeau, and now Carney, repeatedly went after your fellow citizens. With Bill 63, that WILL one day be turned against YOU.1 point

Sigh. Liberals: "We propose a plan that will tear down a lot of homes which might not be replaced!" Conservatives: " we will be voting against that plan." @Dave L "THE CPC VOTED AGAINST THE LIBERAL HOUSING INITITIVE, WHY ARE THEY AGAINST HOUSING?!?!"1 point

Yeah, I don't think the conservatives have really grasped how important this stuff is. Personally, I don't really care that much. I really like Pierre. I really liked Harper. I don't have to see their families. I don't have to see them hugging a cat or working at the McDonald's drivethru. I did polling back in 2009 when Harper sang that Beatles song. Right after that the calls got a lot more positive. Especially with elderly ladies. You'd hear them say things like, "I never thought much of him before, but it was so nice to see him play the piano and sing. I like him now." And I would just be sitting there thinking, "Wait that's what you like? That's what you vote for?"1 point

Everyone has passed legislation for most of your list, and as far as pharmacare, dental care now your stealing the NDP contributions to Canada, these programs the liberals had no interest in until the NDP bribed them for their support...to which polls found out that under liberal management day care numbers actually shrank in size.... If it was not for the conservatives who really built this nation from scratch....in fact the first PM was a conservative, I'm sure there was lots of legislation passed there....a quick google search will give you lots, along with a long list of liberal failures, to many to list here and thats just from Justins period...1 point

I haven't seen that kind of unjustified optimism since the last time people thought the canucks might win the cup well i remember eyeball saying he was hungry once. I have no reason to believe that was inaccurate. Other than he's the one who said it and that calls it into question just based on that. In all seriousness and fairness rare tho it might be, i've seen Ex flyer on occasion make posts that had some sense to them. Unfortunately i'll respond with something like 'you're 99 percent correct but i'd possibly maybe think about questioning that 1 percent.... He sent his campaign manager out to basically attack the hell out of PP, saying in all of the papers and everywhere he could possibly get attention that Poilievre is utterly incompetent, and that he blew such a big lead because of campaign malpractice of the highest order and he's absolutely useless as a leader. He's claiming his recent Ontario win as proof that he's really great at politics and he knows a loser when he sees one and he thinks Poilievre is one. He's a little careful how he couches things but not much Now it would be one thing for a conservative like Doug Ford to allow that kind of talk after an election. And in fact this guy has spoken up in the past after Erin's election and scheer's, the guy's been around a long time. But to do it in the middle of a campaign? To do it while they still have a chance at victory? That's a deliberate attempt to sabotage a campaign. But maybe he's acting alone, maybe he doesn't have ford's blessing right? So ford came out today and was asked about this guy's comments and basically said Poilievre should suck it up because the truth hurts. When his own ministers were working with the CPC and door knocking he was fairly derivative about it. When it was pointed out that one of his people supported Poilievre he replied "Well good for her" in a dismissive way. They're just isn't a lot of doubt. And insiders within his group who don't really approve of this have been leaking a little of the information. He went from city councilor to premier, and now he wants to go from premier to prime minister1 point

No it does not. That would still be your hatred and bigotry talking. And at this point in time Trudeau has done considerably more damage to Canada than trump has done to America. Not to mention the fact that it is beyond childish to offer an argument that is basically I can support anybody who's bad as long as there's somebody who's slightly worse. It's the kind of argument you'd expect from a 12 year old. Even if it were true that trump was worse it doesn't change the fact that you already threw those principles in the garbage by supporting Trudeau Trudeau did exactly what trump is doing now to his people I did so willingly and knowingly with the intent of siphoning money into private organizations who are now paying him to do nothing but sit on their board of directors and raking cash. Trudeau is far worse than trump. He deliberately tanked his country and doubled the debt and then walked away with full knowledge of what he was doing and with the intent of lining his own pockets. You have zero credibility in this issue Sorry kiddo but that is all Justin Trudeau as well. Trudeau was anointed much like carney just was. His followers make up bullshit just like you do every single day to try and dismiss his horrible Behavior. Everything Justin did experts told him would not work and they were right just like trump. But the big difference is trump is starting to listen to the people around him and correct. I'm not down playing anything, I said he did real damage. But it's also true that if he course corrects it will have no lasting impact. 2 years from now it will be a blip in the memory of most people. The damage Justin has done will be generational. Even if things go well from now on 10 years from now people will still be living a lower standard of life in Canada than they should have because of Justin Trudeau and the liberals who you desperately want to get back into power. Economists are fairly clear that it made no real impact to the American economy I get that you have to lie to justify your emotions. It must take a lot of work. But I'm afraid that won't help you when you're talking to someone who actually is intelligent Back to the issue at hand. You have absolutely zero rounds to criticize anybody who supports trump after your supporting the liberals for 10 years and continued support now. The liberals are the true maple magas. Beholden to a cult-like culture, absolutely resistant to every fact or truth that gets in the way of their talking points I'm willing to support an organization that has caused more destruction and pain to Canada than any before it. And it's fairly obvious that Kearney intends to be a bi of a dictator when he gets in, He clearly has no intention of listening to Canadians. He's just going to do what he thinks is best for him and Canada can go screw itself. So how was your worship of him any different than an Americans worship of trump? Like what exactly? Because the USD was seen as the world reserve currency and the refuge in a storm, the US has been able to finance massive deficits and enjoy cheap stuff with an over valued dollar without facing the consequences. As countries and investors de dollarize and shun US treasury bonds because they see the US as unreliable, reality will start to hit home. Just about every country has seen its currency rise against the USD since March including the CAD as they are being seen as more reliable. Devaluation of the USD will do more to reduce US imports than tariffs.1 point

WTF are you talking about? 1)US doesn’t carry them on its back. 2) USA became the wealthiest and most powerful country in world history precisely because of the global economic order it created and lead, which Trump is now trying to dismantle. Huh? No, “let them eat cake” is a conservative mentality towards the pee-ons. Liberals believe they should get their fair slice of the pie.1 point

Uh no the Trump administration’s mismanagement of this issue outclasses Trudeau and the worst administrations of any western democracy by a country mile. As I already said this economic disaster isn’t simply a case of bad policy, poor planning, or poor policy implementation, all of which could be said about things Trudeau and other governments have done. Trump is unique in that his followers have anointed him to sit on a throne and make shit up as he goes day by day despite the fact that he clearly has no knowledge or understanding of what he’s doing and his actions contradict all understanding of economics and geopolitics. Even his own cabinet members don’t support what is happening have no idea what he’s doing or why and what will happen next, it’s government by whim of the emperor and it changes daily Trudeau tried novel policies some of which didn’t work out as expected or were poorly executed but it wasn’t due to Trudeau alone making shit up every morning and changing his mind then changing it back again day after day because he’s in a bad mood. And the fact that you try to downplay this completely self-inflicted economic and geopolitical disaster that has cost the economy trillions of dollars and the US its position as trusted global leader as some easily reversed minor misstep or hiccup is laughable. By all measures the economy was “firing on all cylinders” in 2024 under Biden and Trump has erased all of that. You have no basis to say it would have been worse under Kamala other than your own deep bias. It hurt US agriculture badly and Trump provided bailouts That was another of Trump’s unsubstantiated claims which resulted in Canada imposing counter-tariffs. Ultimately while it created a few thousand new US steel jobs, up to 75,000 US manufacturing jobs were lost as steel prices soared and certain specialized types of steel not made in the US but still tariffed by Trump became expensive and scarce. Like what exactly? Be specific1 point

Well this is certainly bullshit. All widely accepted economic theories have failed Beave. The USA can no longer carry all those nations on its back.
