  1. Its reasonable because the vast VAST majority of health experts, specifically on the topics of epidemics and vaccine, say it's reasonable given the very slight risk vs the very considerable benefit of being vaccinated. So would you want people to use their own sense of what's reasonable when driving - following rules only when and if they feel like it? Or would you rather that your fellow drivers be forced in spite of any objections they might have to...follow the herd so to speak?

  2. We are being buried here by vagrants and homeless, most clearly addicts. Transit stations resemble unkept Hostels and walking down the street means running a gauntlet of begging - although they all seem able to afford booze, dope and cigarettes. In the end, we are a society that can’t even keep drugs out of prisons. Sad. ?

  3. distinction without a difference Canada is the only Confederation of the British Empire the British Crown rules as the Crown of Canada now you can of course reject that but in doing so, you render yourself into an American by default not that there is anything wrong with that, perhaps you are an American at heart, and so be it as a Republican in the classical sense, I would invite you to join us therein the Party of Abraham Lincoln, the Abolitionists who freed the slaves the Party of Theodore Roosevelt, who freed the workers from the Guided Age in the beauty of the lllies, Christ was born across the sea and we are His chosen people New Jerusalem shining city on a hill

  4. I know, propaganda… Edit: My problem is I refuse to get sucked into the rabbit hole. Wait, hear me out.? Because on both sides, people are into this 24/7. They keep gigs of data, think about it, argue about it, lose sleep over it and get deranged over it. That’s the rabbit hole I refuse to get sucked into. The Politics rabbit hole is bad enough, the Covid, Cabal, Lucifarian, EU, Ukraine, Trump, Deep State holes would all drive a person around the bend. You trust the MSM, I’ll trust AG, TD, RB and HK. We’ll see who’s got the real truth soon enough.

  5. bear in mind, that the National Socialists, the Nazis, also promised a secular Heavan the Nazis also promised a perfectly egalitarian class free post scarcity Utopia the only difference was, the Nazis said that their Heaven would only be for the "Germans" which is not actually a race, but simply a language group but whatever, the Nazis papered over that none the less, Nazism is simply racialized Communism, a Communist Utopia, but only for the Master Race this is why the Nazis were not actually Fascists they went way beyond Fascism all the way to Anti Communist Heaven this is why we could actually do business with Fascists, like Franco or Pinochet but there was no negotiating with the Nazis, because it was a fundamentalist religion

  6. Thank you Doctor. I'll take your analysis under advisement. We agree on a number of things...so I'm not sure how you figure I'm drowning in identity politics. I actually think you're engaging in projection here. What you seem to miss is...I too "oppose" Russia's efforts here. I'm not a fan of unprovoked military actions. Russia could have worked WITH NATO to find a diplomatic solution. Maybe they tried and I don't know about it but...they did decide to use military force. I'm saying that all of the players here...Zelinski...Putin...Biden...Germany...and all the other nations involved...got what they fucking paid for! The lesson being...stupid decisions lead to shitty results. Now you can truck along laying blame and marching toward a war NOBODY wants. Or...you can try to understand the entire situation...so that a rational and peaceful solution/compromise can be reached. Preferably BEFORE we all become radio active dust.

  8. Thanks, Capt obvious thanks for the clarification, but don't businesses provide services as well, hence the service industry...Government is not in business and doesn't care about the bottom dollar, where most businesses are run more efficiently, because every dollar counts.

  10. I'm pretty sure in-camera lobbying of politicians is what facilitates the purchase of things like laws and indulgences. I don't know how many people actually placed their faith in God to keep the Pope honest but I'm betting most of them were right-wing conservatives.

  11. Glass houses? I don't "believe" anyone at this point. I read...I watch independent reports on the internet...I watch FOX and CNN and MSNBC and NewsMax...and even this site, and then, I make up my mind and position based on the "truth" I've managed to glean from all the sources...as my own senses perceive it. This method has been working out well. I always new the Russia/Trump thing was akin to vapour-ware...and it was. I always knew Hunter's laptop was real and if ever exposed, would be incredibly damning for Ol' Joe and a number of US politicians, both Republican and Democrat...and it is. I strongly suspect that the Libbies managed to poison the 2020 election enough to swing the results...and time will tell but...ya... In this particular case...if you bother to actually understand the actions and motivations related to this Ukraine debacle, you'll see that the issue is not black and white, but very sorted and tied to what one could call 'Ancient European History'. In other words, this is a tad more than "Putin Bad". Your position is fucking dangerous for everyone on Earth. Do you really understand that? Look at recent history. What do you see? - Biden sticks his tail between his legs and surrenders in Afghanistan. (an event that I'd bet, made a lot of people laugh at the international irony of it all) - Putin and Ping meet. - Putin sends his "B Team" military to Ukraine. Bombs the capital (cut the head off), and amasses his forces in where? Oops...Donbas. If I'm not mistaken, there are 2 boarder provinces there that declare independence the same year Crimea did. Not "coerced" as so many like to whine, but the democratically voted upon result...independence from Ukraine. And can anyone blame them? Ukraine was a friggin' mess after the Euro-Maidan Revolution (Revolution of Dignity), the nation was in a state of anarchy and political thuggery. Not only that, but as a direct result, Ukraine decided to ban Russian trade...which in turn saw the Russians reciprocate...which about broke the economy in Ukraine. Dumb...Dumb...Dumb.! - NATO and the western alliance begin to virtue signal over a newly formed and incredibly turbulent Ukraine because..."Russia Bad". Yet they had already denied Ukraine entry to NATO because...it was incredibly turbulent. - Putin outright spells out the rules of engagement for this exercise with a nuclear threat. - NATO stands down...somewhat. They impose economic sanctions and send old military hardware to Ukrainians who have been forced to fight in this new conflict...one they know deep down inside...they can't win. - The sabre rattling goes on still. The world's 2 biggest nuclear powers, staring each other down...over a nation nobody really wants...lead by an absent old fool, and a dictator. GOOD IDEA!!!

  12. I see, so when you're stopped at a red light you're actually being punished? Okay, the reason that punishment is reasonable is because enduring it is for the benefit of your fellow citizens. Like getting vaccinated.

  13. So if a worker is fired for wearing flip-flops to a construction worksite instead of steel-toe construction boots that's punishment - undue, unfair and unconstitutional according to the principle your definition establishes.

  14. Early 2020 doctors appointment. Leaving, asked her about hip replacement. She said to get the blood work and x-rays while I'm there. One week later, had an appointment with the surgeon and a surgery date. Forty-one days after my initial inquiry, I hobbled out of the hospital with a new hip. Surgeon said that the BC Govt. has a plan to reduce wait times for this procedure. Friend had his done with an eight week wait. A two-tier system has many benefits. I'd have gone stateside if the wait was too long.

  16. “Experts told you it was 2 weeks to flatten the curve, and if you complied with lockdowns, masks and vaccinations, life would return to normal. Conspiracy theorists said it was never going to end and governments would use it to usher in a new world order. Who do you believe now?”

  17. Not the same bullshit, it is a blended proposal, Federally funded, with health care insurance putting in the other half, or whatever %. Every person/ family will purchase health care insurance. Name one federal or provincial program that has been concerned with good business practices.

  18. That's evidence of non-compliance with their terms of employment. That's not punishment, it's a consequence of their choice to not abide by their employer's terms. They're free to choose another employer. The job market is red hot these days so employees can be even choosier...

  20. He would probably do the wise thing and stay the fuck out of it. You're acting like a war hawk and you know it. There is no rational reason to continue to pour money into this and raise the risk of direct confrontation. Not for a sliver of a newly formed nation that has been rejected by NATO and has an actor playing the roll of a dictator and neo-Nazi, as president. This whole story...including the economic repercussions...is fucking ludicrous! There is nothing but down-side to this silliness.

  21. not me, Edmund Burke the father of modern conservatism the French Revolution is not a salvation, quite the opposite but Canada has some key advantages the population of Spain with the resources of Russia so unlike the House of Bourbon, it's very difficult for Canada to go literally broke plus Canadians are the most counterrevolutionary people on earth so don't hold your breath for a full on revolt in Canada

  23. Vapid and empty-headed TV commercial of a career politician in a lumber shirt. And a still camera of him sitting in a pile of boards. Your 'conservatism' is a sad postcard of a scam-man in a fake beaver pelt - enjoy it.

  25. The thing is, Ex, he MAY actually have substance. I'm reminded of Mulroney who was a big voice, big chin but at least knew politics and had a couple of ideas. The #1 thing I dislike about Trudeau, though, is the unwillingness to engage in substantive discussion. And Poilievre is doing the same thing. When did it become so cool to be stupid ?

  26. OMG he's a great actor. This is conservative virtue signalling and Trudeau style politics at its best: empty of ideas, all slogans and "feelings", slick advertising and nothing specific proposed. He's going to be bringing the freedom... Right. By the way the Canadian Taxpayer paid for 100% of his little renovation.

  28. Because Alberta's opiod problems are the same as those in other areas of Canada. No more, no less. Odd or coincidentally though, that since the "safe injection" sites have been popping up all over Canada, so has the opiod deaths. Was making it easy and "safe" really a wise thing? Trump and Kenny and whomever you wish to name have nothing to do with drug addiction and usage.

  29. Some of it created by Pharma. Most of it created by mental health problems - some people have addictive personalities, heroin, meth, alcohol. The small step of decriminalizing will remove the stigma and allow them to be treated as is alcoholism. A medical condition. I lost my own son to an overdose late last year. In the last 25 years the only time he was straight was when he was in jail. He was always in jail for stealing shit to buy drugs. For years he could only find work close to the methadon clinic, pretty damn limiting. Couldn't bring him home as there's zero facilities or help up country. Like many intravenous users (and they don't mention this) he stroked out. No one @ social services did their job and gave a shit, someone brought the drugs he OD'd on into the hospital. Could've been your car he stole, your house he broke into, your store he robbed. Wouldn't it have been better if he could've got a prescription, made your burgers or framed your house and paid taxes? I agree with you on many things. Slam the hammer down on the dealers and importers. Far too many are getting too light a sentence for bringing in fentanyl. Give em life w 25 years AFAIC
