  1. Are you suggesting that Facebook, Twitter, NYT and so on did not, in any way, suppress or actively block the Hunter Biden laptop story when it came out? It never happened? New York Times quietly deletes claim Hunter Biden laptop story was 'unsubstantiated' (yahoo.com)

  2. Here in NB most New Brunswickers have already been cut out of the market, with the average wage of 36 k a year, housing has sky rocketed during the pandemic, with people from the major cities moving to the Maritimes , flush with cash from selling their million plus dollar homes because they can work from home , from any where really....most of these new home buyers are from Ontario... well over 70 % now... home prices have doubled in the last 2 to 3 years 480 k gets you a 1400 sq foot bungalow ... so a million plus dollars gets you a lot of home here...hence the bidding wars, that drive the prices up more than 50 to 100 k more...to make it more complicated , lumber prices are out of this universe right now at 250 dollars a square foot of living space...so one no longer can afford to buy or build... and rents well they want to make a buck as well, and our gouging the eyes out of everyone that comes into the building .. Those city folks that come here soon come to the conclusion that life's pace here rarely gets above 10 KM an hour...unless you hear hold my beer and watch this, nothing is changing anytime soon.

  3. But more simply ( remember Occam's Razor) it means you can jab me. Look I get it that you're an immature stubborn narcissist for whom agreeing with someone is a very painful experience but it is what it is.

  4. I can't get over how much of an idiot that guy is. If I have to fix his blatherings It'd look like this: And then there's this: Um, 1) he engaged in hatemongering on Qubec TV 2) then he hid in a basement somewhere in Ottawa for the first week the Freedom Convoy was in Ottawa 3) he also made a fool of himself by not living up to the standard of his own pontifications to the Indian gov't when he said: "In a democracy we have to engage in discussions with peaceful protesters". 4) he froze the bank accounts of Canadians for nothing more than donating to a peaceful protest 5) he said on National TV that "he couldn't support the Freedom Convoy because they are too violent but the BLM protest is a perfect example of a protest that he does support". Of course that comment didn't age well so it's hard to find video of it, but he did basically say that exact thing. Trudeau is an idiot and of course he's politically self-combusting.

  5. Politics of Canada Posted by Danny Philp Mar 22 (Please note the following is a personal editorial and not intended as an expression of this Space.) So it would appear that the Liberals and the NDP have reached a Supply and Confidence agreement to fend off an election until 2525, which would be the “normal” time to hold an election. For clarity, a Supply and Confidence motion means that one party will support the Governing party on any measure that could trigger an election, specifically budgets and any other vote that is “declared” to be a “Vote of Confidence”. While the details are a little fuzzy, and it has yet to be confirmed by either party, I wanted to point out several things here. First of all, a Supply and Confidence motion is not unusual in Minority Governments; it’s not “vote stealing”, it’s not “a power grab” and it’s not unconstitutional; it is exactly how Parliament is designed to function…parties that are closely aligned support each other in exchange for various considerations. Secondly, the Tories’ reaction to this, while utterly predictable is also completely hyperbolic. (Which, frankly, is equally predictable) Bergen has said that this is “an NDP-Liberal attempt at government by blackmail. Nation-building is replaced by vote-buying; secret deal-making over parliamentary debate; and opportunism over accountability,” which is utter bullshit. Westminster Systems function by votes; if the Government can get enough MPs to vote in a specific way, whatever was being voted on passes; this is not blackmail, this is not vote-buying, this is not secret deal-making, it is a completely normal functioning of Parliament and examples of it can not only be found in Canadian history, but literally everywhere there is a Westminster form of Government! She went on to say “If this NDP-Liberal coalition stands, Canada is in for a very rough ride."; while continuing down the hyperbolic bullshit route, that at least can be excused as politics…but she makes very deliberate use of the “coalition” which is not what a Supply and Confidence agreement is. A coalition, in Westminster Systems, would mean that the NDP would “get a seat at the table” in Cabinet, which is not happening. I point this out as the deliberate use of this word is clear dog whistling; while I always say “politicians gunna politician”, it’s unworthy of Bergen to attempt to mislead Canadians about what a Supply and Confidence Motion actually is. Now! Having said all this, I still suspect (and hope!) that Trudeau will not be leading the Liberals by the end of this Parliament, and ensuring that the Government lasts until the next scheduled election is useful to all parties, including the Tories. The Liberals get a chance to govern again, the NDP get a chance to not only get their major platform pieces passed, including National Pharmacare and Dental Care, but also to refill their war chests. The Tories get some breathing room to get their new leader elected and out in front of Canadians for them to judge; while I am confident that Canadians as a whole aren’t interested in whomever the Tories elect as Leader, it does give the new leader time to get his/her face out there and policies in Canadian’s minds. To any commenters; If you personally approve of this action or not if absolutely your right, but if you start spewing conspiracy nonsense or suggestions that this is somehow illegal or unconstitutional, I will block you. I’m very happy to have measured, reasoned debate on this issue, but given that my answers and comments tend to get a lot of views, I refuse to allow my answers/comments to become a soap box to spout off demonstrable bullshit. https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/trudeu-jagmeet-singh-working-together-1.6392756

  6. They're actions which speak louder than words and dictionary's. No one was immobilized or restrained so that vaccine could be injected into them by agents of the state. Is it really that impossible to acknowledge that not one single person endured this? I certainly get that force and coercion can mean the same thing in a general context but you people use the word force in the context of a totalitarian dictatorship which is so wrong it's stupid.

  8. I can see such a tax applying to a property that isn't your primary residence or on amounts that take the selling price over a million bucks or above asking price or something. Commercial property that is owned by a company will be taxed. Maybe if they allowed us to deduct mortgage interest from taxable income.

  9. And nary a word of condemnation for Canada's reputation as being the snow-washing money launderer of choice for real dictators. My guess is that every self-proclaimed freedom-loving western democracy must be drinking from the same well and we've gotten really good at it.

  10. Further to the part about myocarditis in young people and pro athletes collapsing & having heart attacks, the mayor of DC has now cleared all unvaxed performers, including pro athletes, to be allowed to play in NYC. Peons still need to be vaccinated to keep their jobs, but baseball and basketball players don't.

  13. The MSM is starting to mention this story but ever so reluctantly. On CNN.com they actually spin it in a way that Hunter is more of a victim than anything else. They actually say he's using his dad's name to make money as though he alone is the only one involved. He is also the subject of a "partisan investigation"! The MSM will clearly go to any length to protect the Democrats. Makes me want to hurl.

  14. Amen to that. This is what I am talking about. But we do have a retard at the steering wheel. He went to the EU to teach them how the carbon tax was both helping the environment and the economy at the same time. What a retard - needs to be locked up and replaced immediately.

  15. This is not just a problem here on this forum it is every where, the lines are clearly drawn, the left and the right, with some undecided in the middle...and no one would dare talk to the other side long enough to form a shared opinion...that would require one to end everything, and be casted out to another island of doom and despair. Everyone on this forum is divided into those 3 categories , very few will stop and listen to anyone from a different group, and if they do it is only for a moment, then back to the old group...And it is not just this forum it is pretty much every where you go...debating anything does not happen it turns into a shit show quickly.

  18. What we've witnessed over the past little while here, objectively speaking more closely resembles China or Russia. -Creating a fake emergency through now confirmed lies from the press making protests illegal -Millions of tax payer dollars to media outlets -Protesters beaten and having their bank accounts frozen without any sort of due process -Protesters jailed then put before judges who were candidates lf the political party (show trial) Just because we have elections doesn't mean that this stuff is tolerable. If you suggest otherwise I'd say you are just as sick as Trudeau.
