  1. The CPC is in trouble because it’s afraid of standing up to the woke mob to defend conservative principles. None of its leaders have the balls to say that favouring some races over others by granting them special privileges and money is unethical, racist, and perpetuates cultures of dependency that weaken the very people that such policies are attempting to help. Watering down educational and workplace standards so that more people can make the grade only weakens Canadians and makes us the laughing stock of China and Russia. Having a token military that can’t defend the country only makes us more dependent on foreign powers and makes it impossible for Canada to have independent foreign and domestic policies. Overspending on programs that disincentivize work and drive up debt only saddles future generations with debt and creates inter generational dependence on the state, just like the Indian Act for Indigenous. Paying today’s debts by inflating costs through mass immigration to our major urban centres continues to make home ownership out of reach for young people because of the inability for housing supply to keep up with demand. The population can’t assimilate immigrants fast enough, causing cultural conflicts and a breakdown in social cohesion. Cities become overcrowded and long commute times damage quality of life for all. Increased demand for all goods and services, on top of carbon taxes on fuel, is making transportation, food, and more too expensive. The cost of living is too high. Unless and until the CPC and its leaders say these things and offer policies to uphold these views, they cannot call themselves conservatives. They are the Liberal Party of Canada disguised as opposition.

  2. Don Lemon and Joy Reid are straight up anti-White racists. I think CNN was trying to stave off possible lawsuits regarding their year long defamation and lying about Rittenhouse and the happenings in August last year. I hope Rittenhouse sues the fuck out of all those media outlets, and media pundits. And I hope he especially sues the fuck out of a-hole Joe Biden for calling Rittenhouse a white supremacist without any evidence.

  3. Don't get me wrong there are some very loyal Canadians still left, take for instance those that are still serving today, I remember after the twin towers came down, recruitment for the military sky rocketed by the amount of applications being received, but DND was not mandated to increase any numbers.. but that did not last long... I also remember my first tour to Afghanistan, , all along the route there were people lining the sides of the road ways cheering us on...by my second tour there was nothing, a few hand shakes at the local bars, which is the way i wanted it, nice and quite , by my 3 rd tour Afghanistan was a 4 letter word, Canadians had lost total interest in the mission, and with no support of course there was no new money for the mission, no new equipment, training in Canada was almost non existent, due to shortage of funds... see the feds where taking the entire Afghanistan mission out of DND budget which dove well into the red for years... I know lots of soldiers whose lives might have been saved had we had better equipment, from wearing green combat clothing in the desert, to open air jeeps, to having 40 year old tanks with no air conditioning, no helos to fly supplies around, everything went by road, and the Taliban knew how to plant mines. every day we went outside the wire, everyday we made contact with the bad guys.... Our government had no business sending us into a combat zone ill prepared, but then again no one cares there is a hockey game on tonight... When we got home, my wife gave me an a warning this is your last tour or she was leaving, the Army however had other ideas... my PTSD is what saved my marriage, and most likely my life.. sad really, as PTSD has killed hundreds of vets.. Getting help was a long drawn out process, they would make your first appointment , they would give you an assessment, and then farm out the actually mental health treatment some times it would take more than a year would go by before you started treatment... a lot can happen in a year, those that could not wait, took another route and took their own lives. the media did story after story on how many vets were taking their lives, well above any other career in Canada. .. i would go to more than dozens of ramp ceremonies to say good bye to some friend or comrade, and dozens funerals, until i could not take going to any more...these were good Canadians , good men and women reduced to nothing more than a name and service number and some pictures of them in happier times... I've watched vets have to prove every year, that limbs did not some how grow back in order to qualify for medical benefits every year for dozens of years, these are medical professionals that wanted proof .. some of these cases made national news, Federal governments decided it was cheaper to fight these cases in court, but unless you had a lawyer doing pro bono work you could not compete the feds bank... , and for some that was the final straw, and they exited stage right ending it all...anyway I'll end my rant, nothing is going to change anyways..

  4. Maybe CNN is reforming because of the ownership change. We should all be worried about the utter lack of integrity exhibited by news media companies. John Malone Wants CNN to Evolve 'Back to Actual Journalism' (mediaite.com)

  5. If you want to classify the left as people obsessed with wokism, and the right has anybody who buys into populist conspiracy theories then that still leaves a large body of central thought that can ignore those fringes and move forward.

  6. On the bright side, it is important to remember that politics isn't really all that important. It is a sport like hockey and football. It provides us with entertainment but in the course of governing, governments will do what needs doing. Some governments perform better than others and sometimes you get a government like BC's Glenn Clark. You would wake up in the morning and open up your newspaper to see what bone-head thing he did that day. You knew he would do something stupid, but the fun was to see the lengths he would go to to find some unique imaginative stupid thing to do. The point is, the party label doesn't matter. He was NDP. Roy Romanow was NDP and the complete opposite on the competence scale. The governments of BC and Saskatchewan continued to perform regardless of who was Premier.

  7. The media has done a horrible job. There are still people that think the people that Rittenhouse shot were Black, and that he crossed state lines with a gun. Both of which are false.

  8. It follows that insurance risk is higher when workers aren’t vaccinated. And as you know, once anything comes under the purview of insurance companies, it’s game over. It’s not just about getting shots, some workers have to sign new contactual agreements with their employers. The one I saw not only required you to agree to be double-vaccinated, but also agree to accept any and all future vaccine injections, and any other health directives issued by the health authority, and or the employer, including mrna vaccines as well as any and all chemical, elemental or biological process that is identified as pertaining to and supporting the benefit and or good of society. Upon signing, you can no longer leave the company if you disagree to being injected the next time they say, or else no severance, and no EI. You go live under a bridge, you despicable unter-mensche. 11. Good point. This one probably trumps the two reasons that I was thinking about. I think it would be awesome to see Biden get sued over this. He said it on twitter, so his speech wasn't protected in any way.

  13. I think you alluded to it in your opening post. My answer is simple... b-b-b-cause Joe Biden. Yes they used the riots as a foil for Don Trump. Added fuel to the fire. Encouraged it. “Make your government uncomfortable” -Sammy Bammy

  14. "Renewable" is what you can expect to harvest without impacting the supply chain. And by supply chain I do not mean an idiotic capitalist corporate structure meant to generate "profit". I mean a natural supply cycle. You have 1,000,000,000 salmon, of which 900,000,000 manage to spawn and reproduce, 100,000,000 get harvested by all species combined, including humans then next year (or in 5 years whatever the cycle is) you can expect to have the same 1,000,000,000 salmon return, because the harvesting is not a limiting factor to them and neither is their environment. Now imagine we decided we will harvest 900,000,000 salmon, leave 100,000,000 to reach the spawning grounds, but in the meantime we also fucked up the ocean, making it acidic and full of pollution, we also removed essential vegetation along rivers, salmon depend on, or water levels are regulated by, and then we still called it all "renewable" and "sustainable". Well, all top soils ended up in the river bed in a flood and took all salmon eggs with them. Final result - there will be no nutrients left on the slope to support a large tree any more, there will be no salmon to return, there will be no normal weather, but only extreme events. Our fucked government continues to do the same thing, thinking their bad luck with somehow go away. I say it is here to stay. They did it to themselves. They fucked up my life and my kids' life too in the process. But from now on, I will glee when I see all infrastructure removed by landslides. They will never manage to ship oil, gas and coal any more. Because nature will not let them. They really fucked it up with their greed and stupidity.

  15. I can't argue with most of what you are saying. Due to the way it is written into the constitution, the monarchy will remain but with diminishing standing. I disagree with your assessment of loyalty of Canadians. When it is tested, I believe a lot of Canadians are loyal. My Dad used to tell me about the high level of anti-war sentiment in Vancouver in the summer of 1939. Days after war was declared, the line ups to enlist were huge. I see the loyalty at Canada Day celebrations and Saskatoon's Folk Fest. I don't understand the treatment of vets. People put everything on the line and they are treated with far worse than neglect afterwards. It has been that way since the Great War. The only exception would maybe be the Second World War but I really don't understand. It doesn't seem to matter which party is in power or who is the minister. I am impressed with the younger generation's attitude towards vets on November 11, but for the rest of us, we need to remember that Remembrance Day should be 365 days a year.

  16. If you do that, we will have to replace her with a president with the same powers as the Queen. (Germany, Israel etc.) The main change is we would have to pay them and it would be a lot more than the GG. Worse, you would have a politician as the symbol of the nation, like another Trudeau, Mulroney or Peggy Nash.

  17. If that is true then judging by Justins accomplishments todate Canadians do not have the moral values they once had , in fact they are very indifferent to lies, the cheating, unethical behavior, they don't expect much out of our leadership in this nation, it says a lot about Canadians, none of it very flattering .

  19. Honestly, the stupidity of leftists never ceases to amaze me. "We can't burn coal here now, it's too bad for global warming. In order to save the planet we have to ship that coal to China to burn it." "Extracting Alberta oil does too much damage to the environment. The area is only 700 times cleaner now than it was when the oil sands started being developed. We need to bring supertankers to Canada from ethically challenged countries like Saudi Arabia to be environmentally and socially responsible!"

  20. "Renewable" does not mean infinite, or exploitable without reason or measure. Are salmon resources still "renewable" as cod was in the first half of the last century? Are we learning anything? The federal government announced on Tuesday significant measures to shut down a number of Pacific commercial fisheries and First Nations communal commercial fisheries as the salmon stock has “reached a crisis.” From crisis to crisis what a renewable march.

There's no trees there cuzza all the snowstorm fires. Greta told me about that. she's an expert on everthing. she basically runs this place with her twitty feed. 22. I know that sometimes I make strong statements for effect, but what I'm about to say is important and true. Let's be honest, many of the posters on here are retired or not working for whatever reason. I'm not in that boat. Almost everyone who is employed by a company or is a government worker, including educators and health care workers, is essentially banned from international travel because, if you are forced to quarantine upon return from your trip due to a positive Covid-19 test, and the quarantine period extends beyond your designated "time off" from work, you will be put on an unpaid leave for the quarantine period and subject to disciplinary action. How do you know whether or not you have Covid-19? Only from the test results, unless you're symptomatic. Americans don't face this disincentive from travel. This punishment of having to pay for a Covid test and the threat of losing pay/employment due to a positive result is a huge disincentive to international travel for Canadians. Canadians don't face this disincentive to traveling between provinces or territories. Why must Canadians traveling to and from Michigan or New York rather than Quebec or B.C. be treated like they're biohazards deserving of crippling fees and potential job termination? When so many eligible Canadians are vaccinated, after having made so many personal and financial sacrifices to obey public health mandates, this is the reward they get? My government disgusts me more and more each day.

  23. The latest ridiculousness: When government was asked how travellers could visit a border town for the day or weekend and still get a test done within 3 days of returning home, they said travellers could get the test before leaving Canada. Wasn’t the point of the test to make sure Covid isn’t picked up in another country? These officials are stupid. It’s like an absurdity from a Bulgakov novel. Scrap the testing requirements for fully vaccinated travellers at least. The Americans have it right on this.
