  4. A lot of these people dwell on the fact Palestinian casualties are much higher while ignoring the fact Israel works very hard to protect its civilians and Hamas does the opposite. Hamas WANTS heavy civilian casualties so they can show it to the western media so soft-hearted, soft-headed liberals in the West will hate Israel. Hamas doesn't dig bomb shelters. Instead it locates its rockets in schools and hospitals and fires rockets from the middle of residential areas. Of course Palestinian casualties are going to be higher! Israel is being condemned as immoral because they try to protect their people, while Hamas is the victim because it let's its people die. Think about that for a moment as the epitome of the ignorant, emotional liberal mindset.

  5. Wasn't that the intention behind a thread titled "Islamification of Toronto" in the first place?

  7. In other words we should have done what we’ve always done. Those things you listed are reasonable common-sense approach that understood the balance between trying to mitigate virus harm versus societal harm. Somehow this time around the vaccine fanatics got their foothold on the messaging. Those who have certain financial interests have wanted this sort of thing for a long time. They finally got it. They use the internet to control all of us through a fear filled, propaganda campaign. And now that pandora’s box has been opened...

  8. Your loathing of such a great homeland makes no sense, but I guess if nothing else it shows how spoiled people can be.

  9. First and foremost, it should be Canadian choices made to support more independence from the American hegemon. This means less NAFTA and more diversified export nations...less dependency on the U.S. economy. It means maintaining a viable military to have a "seat at the table". It means more east-west infrastructure projects like pipelines and refineries instead of going south, and it means fewer trade barriers between provinces. It means more R&D investment and higher worker productivity. The cultural, media, and political dynamics all follow a more independent path capable of independent policy decisions. Years ago, MP Carolyn Parrish famously said, "Damn Americans ... I hate those bastards." There was more wisdom in this politically fatal quip than some Canadians want to admit. That's the whole point...Canada has painted itself into an economic and military corner that makes it nearly impossible to the "tell the yanks to F right off..." It is unwise to keep digging the hole but expecting different results. Nation states don't have friends...they have interests...the two should not be confused. Just the other side of the same historical coin. Canada stayed with Great Britain until the American bastards supplanted the British after WW1/WW2. Canada does not cry tears for those who have fallen in such conflicts....Canada exports more APCs to Saudi Arabia instead.

  12. Thanks! Very flattering. Zeitgeist is really doing a great job of making me rethink assumptions - I've started to make claims several times and then thought, "wait, am I actually *sure* of that?" and then gone and researched them and, whoopsie, I was wrong! Super useful to me and I'm very grateful because there are only a couple of people I can safely have these conversations with IRL and I already know what they'll say. Reification (Marxism) - Wikipedia I had forgotten about that! Wow, reification is super abstract. I'm gonna have to think about that for a while, maybe watch some videos. I like your approach. I have a maxim I try to remember - "When your opponent offers you two targets, strike at a third. When your opponents offers you two options, create a third. If you ever think you are doing what your opponent expects, do something else instead." In this context, my opponent is... I dunno, "the establishment?" Wish I could upvote this more than once. That may be the most concise, fair, and devastating critique of Canadian politics I've ever heard in two short sentences.

  16. So your basic point is that an economy must have 'winners' and 'losers', and if it does not, it means that the 'winners' are being 'stolen' from by the 'losers'? Am I reading that right? Walmart owners are making money hand-over-fist, paying their workers less than a living wage and baking billions. The government (aka taxpayers) get to step in and subsidize the workers that Walmart can't 'afford' to pay. Who's 'stealing' here? Is there anything wrong with taking some of the 100s of millions the Waltons earn and using that to pay their workers a wage high enough that they don't need government welfare? Is that stealing from the "competent"? "Watered down version of Poi Pot's imprisonment" sounds like the usual right-wing hyperbole. Yes, what does race/sexual orientation have to do with technical prowess? Having asked that, perhaps you can explain why the right spent months attacking Dr. Tam as a transgendered person because they didn't like her politics. Whether or not she is transgendered (and I have seen no proof) would be irrelevant to her education, training and knowledge - so why was the right so willing to bring that up every opportunity they had to mock her, to impugn her character and her skills. Yes, so why does the right bring up fake issues, such as the color of Trudeau's socks, his hair style, the gender of Dr. Tam. Why can't they get behind addressing climate change, why can't they let adults choose who they want to love, whether or not to have children, worship how they want and dress how they want.

  17. Now as to this: Are you talking about the Republicans or the Democrats? If it's the Democrats you have a point, except your timeline is off. It's already happened. Whether or not courts are willing to hear evidence of actual fraud I can make a really good case for 2020 being rigged starting months before the election. It was done with corporate and social media malfeasance, money snuck in to manage the election process by Biden friendly operatives, Leftist lawyers and judges rewriting election rules and weakling Republicans bowing to Democrat demands. On the other hand if you're trying to insinuate the erosion of democracy is coming from the other side you're suffering badly from the dysfunction of the delusion of psychological projection and maybe you should get help.

  18. Did people get together in prayer circles anywhere in the world when that guy killed a bunch or Christian worshipers in a Christian church in some American city a few years ago? No way, Jose. All the leftist liberal media were concerned about was the guy who did the shooting. Was he a white nationalist was all that they were interested in. The more you try to make people like me appear to be a person of hate will only get you the proper opposite reaction that you deserve. Ya sure you had people come up to you alright and asked you if you were eating matzah balls. Stop with the bs. I have never had anyone ever come up to me and ask me if I am a Christian and ask me are those Tim Horton'S timbits. I did not know that I was related to Mel Gibson. I wish that I were though. I enjoyed that movie that he made about Jesus Christ some year ago. A certain intolerant ethnic group tried to have the movie banned from theaters. Mel Gibson wishing he were Jewish? Give me a break. Sometimes I have to wonder why I even respond to your silly butt replies. You are so sad.
