"Today we live in a time where free speech is under threat. Comedians are being silenced by politically corrective activists." That is actually NOT horseshit - it's absolutely true. Bruce Bawer has documented many, many cases of free speech being limited and taken away because of fear of Muslim reprisals - he has documented it from cases about the media, the arts, legal cases that have happened, cops, courts and civil service, the UN - all have been silenced. He documents what is happening in a lot of countries in Europe, and also in Canada and the US. He documents the caving into Sharia law because of Muslim threats to violence - "Don't call us violent, or we will get violent with you." I realize that you - and others like you - will refuse to become informed because nothing makes you guys madder than when someone documents these things and reports them - you are all part of the soft jihad that is taking place against freedom of speech and democracy and you wont' rest until all criticism of Islam is silenced - in accordance with Sharia law. You are being played by jihadists and the PC crowd. If there is anyone who would like to know what's going on - read Bawer's book - Surrender. You will never declare that free speech being under threat is "HORSESHIT" again.2 points

Canada is a western democracy where people are treated equally before the law regardless of race , religion, gender, orientation and wealth. Where women are respected and enjoy equal rights where minorities are treated well.Where there is a freedom of choice on what to wear and what t drink and what to believe. We are trying to protect these values. Bring over people of the culture who by teaching do not believe in equality of women or respect for women or try to imposed their backward values upon people born here is endangering those values. The two people who did those deplorable acts are the ones who are a danger to Canadian values more so than the worse of immigrants. This is not what Canada stands for. Just like every democracy freedom of speech has its limits. As long as it doesn't harm any other citizen. They crossed that line and deserve punishment though I think facing criminal charges for first offense or losing their job is too much since they did not cause any bodily harm..2 points

The Elite Consensus cannot be brought down by voting, Canada is not a republic, that's not how British Westminster Parliamentary Supremacy works. You elect an MP, that MP swears an oath to the Queen, To prevent things going off the rails into tyranny and totalitarianism, those MP's must hold to their oaths to HM not the PM. Jody Raybould Wilson and the other broad, what's her face, they did the job, they did what they swore to do. Most MP's however, are cronies. But that is who Canadians choose to elect. It's still a free country in theory, so you can in practice vote for a tyranny at your leisure, The MP's however are supposed to save your from yourselves, by tempering that with the authority of the Queen, in defence of Her rule. The Liberals however are totally Americanized, they are de facto republicans, that's the nature of their Potemkin Village Post National State facade. The Liberals are simply the farm team for the Democrat Party. Canada is like America, if the Democrat Party had carte blanche and no American constitution to stop them. The Liberals alone wrote the Charter, the Charter is not like the American constitution, the Liberals have the power of the Queen, without actually being loyal to Her. The Liberals weaponized the Charter with poison pills which make it not into a shield for the individual, but rather a sword for the far left extremist kooks and virtue signalling priggish moral panic monkeys.2 points

And I specifically stated to you that the issue is far more involved and covers too many countries and too many avenues - media, arts, authors, theater, banking and financial industries - for you to get a clear picture of what's going on in the brief cites you demand. Remain deliberately oblivious. You're a big proponent of censorship, that much is obvious.1 point

**sigh** You've totally missed the point - that every time Muslims push for Sharia law or push for governments to take Sharia action on situations like silencing media, the arts, authors, etc - that is the West capitulating our freedoms in deference to Islam and Sharia. Here is a case from Greece that went all the way to the European Human Rights court: https://www.asil.org/ILIB/european-court-human-rights-rules-against-use-sharia-law-inheritance-dispute-december-19-2018 Here's an article of instances where Sharia law has been applied in Canada: https://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/national/life-under-sharia-in-canada/article743980/ https://www.theobjectivestandard.com/2018/10/europe-wades-further-into-sharia-law/ https://www.nationalreview.com/2018/10/free-speech-sharia-european-court-of-human-rights-ruling/ I'm sure this won't satisfy you because you will not reflect on what these things mean in a global sense and I'm not going to re-write Bawer's book and copy all his research just for your amusement. I've provided the cite - if you choose not to read it or educate yourself, that's your choice. His cites are all listed in the back of his book for each chapter. This is a common tactic for apologists of Islam - demand that each case in the world be cited so that you can discount and excuse them one by one, thereby deliberately missing what is going on WORLD WIDE - which is Muslims and their apologists are petitioning courts and bringing court cases to every country demanding that Sharia laws - regarding treatment of women, treatment of gays, treatment of apostates, silencing of any criticism of Islam in the media or arts - are adhered to. There is a lot of people risking their lives to keep Sharia out of Western democratic countries and a lot of people have died trying to keep democracy free of Islamic religious influence. Why not read what happened to people like Theo Van Gogh, Pim Portuyn, the Charlie Hebdo massacre, etc. read about the riots after the mohammed cartoons in Denmark and the court cases it spawned afterwards. Read about the bizarre steps European governments are taking to avoid riling up their Muslim populations and how this is affecting the every day life of Westerners. Read about the governmental agencies that have clamped down on the media by disallowing certain words and phrases to be used to avoid Muslim backlash. (1984 - very Orwellian - there's a reason why Muslims are to be called "Asians" now and "jihadists" and "Islamic extremism" are no longer phrases that should be used......) I've done all the research and to demand that it be boiled down into a few cites of court cases here and there, will not change your opinion. There's a LOT going on in the world - democracy is in peril, freedom of speech is in peril - and your choice is be deliberately oblivious to it all, in favour of feel-good articles that stroke your multicultural ego. Edit to add this article which I have already posted here once: http://content.time.com/time/world/article/0,8599,1811460,00.html1 point

I'm surprised at your specific claim that Euro courts are now making more decisions based on Sharia. That's my request. Cite that. Please don't start generating fog by asking me if I know Sharia. You don't have to write long posts talking about books you read or things we discussed already. Keep it brief.1 point

Are you really unaware that Islam has been setting up and demanding Sharia courts in countries all over the world - even here in Canada? Are you really unaware of what Sharia law entails? Sincerely, educate yourself. You would have to read Bawer's book - that I suggested and cited - to get the full picture - it has TONS of documented proof. I doubt you will do that, of course. It' doesn't flatter Islam and exposes how country after country has capitulated to Sharia law in response to Muslim demands. Here's another from the book - In February 2008 Britain capitulated to Sharia law in a remarkable way by declaring that the marriages of individuals with multiple spouses would be recognized for purposes of welfare disbursement. Muslim men with more than one wife would be allowed to collect additional state benefits. Polygamy by non-Muslims would continue to be a crime, but polygamy by Muslims would be rewarded. (This policy is already in place in Ontario, BTW.) The discussion before about whether Muslim cabbies should be made to take riders with seeing-eye dogs - that's Sharia law. How far do you want to bend to that - I ask because you were one of the ones who agreed that Muslim cabbies should be allowed to refuse rides to handicapped people who rely on dogs? Some cabbies are already not allowing anyone in their cab who is transporting alcohol - another Sharia no-no. What if Muslim cabbies start not allowing women in short skirts or tank tops to ride? Or any woman in general? What about unmarried couples? Gay couples are already being denied rides. After taxis, why not buses, trains and planes? This is all Sharia law. It has been said that communism's role as a threat to Western freedoms has been replaced by Islam. Fortunately, you are a straight man - your freedoms will disappear last. Right now, Jews, gays and women in all countries are losing freedoms at alarming rates.1 point

More and more courts in Europe are making decisions based on Sharia, and - it is not looking good for women. How could it? Sharia law does not recognize the equality between the sexes - women and non-Muslims get the short end of the stick. Here's just one case from Germany: In March 2007, Christa Datz-Winter - a family court judge in Frankfurt refused to expedite a divorce between a Moroccan-German woman and her Moroccan husband who had repeatedly beaten and threatened to kill her. Datz-Winter argued that the woman should have been prepared for such treatment, since her husband's religion granted him the right to use corporal punishment. Der Spiegel reported that this was just one "in a chain of horrific rulings in which German courts have taken Sharia into account". Seyran Ates, a Berlin lawyer who fights for the democratic rights of Muslim women in the face of efforts to keep them trapped in Sharia said she was "almost grateful that Datz-Winter grounded her ruling so explicitly in the Koran because it exposes an undercurrernt that already exists in our courts, whereby tolerance for Muslim intolerance has led to a parallel sharia-based legal system."1 point

I actually disagree quite strongly. If you want a strong sense of Canadian culture, go to Quebec for Carnival or to a sugar shack. In Ottawa enjoy the chateau style architecture of the Parliament buildings and Chateau Laurier. Every major Canadian city has its CP hotel and its CNR railway station. In Toronto that’s Union and Royal York. In Quebec it’s Chateau Frontenac and Windsor station. In Alberta it’s Banff Springs. In BC it’s the Fairmont Vancouver and the Empress. They’re all chateau style. I think of sitting by a fire and eating something gamy, or maybe just a rotisserie chicken after a walk in the cold. In Quebec and out east you get into the fiddle and kitchen parties. Lots of Celtic and French Acadian all through the east. Out west it’s more the RCMP and frontiersman, but it relates to the Quebec sugar bush woodsman, and of course the canoes and rivers, the Métis and Couriers de Bois. There’s also cosmopolitan, multicultural, Information Age, communications tech Canada, and honest broker, even keel, polite, just society Canada. I always think of the Paul Kane, Paul Peel, G of 7 scenes, also the modern Micheal Snow, Painters 11, Automatistes, and Riopelle. Writers too. My favourite is Ondaatje. Books and painting for me, though music too. There’s definitely a sensibility in Canada of having to fortify oneself against the elements. My favourite landscapes are the ones where nature scenes become abstract symbolist art, like in a Harris painting. Yeah there’s also hockey and beaver tails and the cliches, but there’s definitely a Canadian experience. I think you feel it most somewhere like the Rockies over Lake Louise, in Muskoka, or on Cape Smokey in Cape Breton, by some small town with a Celtic name. It must be even more dramatic in the mountains and fjords of the far north.1 point

I don't know. Argus was mentioning the "country's culture" and this is where I get a bit excited. Think about Ireland; you would immediately recognize the harp as a national instrument, the Irish songs and dances, the clover, but you also know what those people look like and sound like. Then Scotland same thing, you think about the bagpipes, kilts , dances, tradition, history and again you know what those people look like and sound like. You know what architecture you can find. Some of that built over 500 years ago. Move to mainland Europe - France (well they do have a bit of a problem with their colonial past), Germany, Italy end so on; again you know what these people look like , sound like and for the most part what they like or do not like. Architecture and all. Now think about Canada. What are the things that come to mind associated with culture? The flag and the maple leaf in particular, the maple syrup, Tim Hortons, hockey......but these are taking us nowhere in terms of culture. Do you associate the country with a particular kind of people or language/accent? No. Is there a common religion? No. Is there any traditional dress everyone is proud to wear? No. Is there a distinguished architectural style unique to the country? No If we consider the culture to be just a set of rules where everyone who follows them is immersed in "the culture" then, yeah, we have our own culture.1 point

If the same treatment were extended to ALL 'supremacists', they'd exclude even the Democrats. Today's extremists aren't merely the 'white' ones. The majority of such groups often sign up with whatever party strengthens their power. As such, if the same kind of logic is applied to ANY 'supremacists' of ANY group, the Democrats would be more likely eliminated over the Republicans because unlike the more solidified extremists on the right, the left-wing has most of all the other 'supremacists' there. For instance, a group like the Black Panthers, a Black version of 'supremacist' would align with the left and act as a unit demograph. Then take each other such similar groups of other races or religions and you have a 'democratic' majority of pluralities of extremists extant in the Democratic party. So given Google, Twitter, and Facebook, tend to favor more 'liberal' licence towards non-white versions of supremacists, any kind of neutral program that seeks out pychological rhetoric supporting the factors that contribute to actual racism and sexism will more likely eliminate the Democratic party over the Republican. This is what is NOT spelled out appropriately. The only alternative way to do this is to seek language that is already biased against specific groups. This would clearly point out where and how the actual discrimination exists apart from the arrogancy of today's majority of media to be propping up only the 'white' variety of supremacists as symbolic of all that is racist.1 point

Trudeau is the Papists selling Tickets to Heaven which Canadians must go ever deeper into debt to afford. The Liberals of Quebec are the last Remnants of the House of Bourbon. The House of Bourbon was the Empire of the Papists, Tickets to Heaven is how the Bourbon Kings would pay their way in. Climate Barbie is Trudeau's Marie Antoinette. What does she say to Canadians who cannot afford the Tickets to Heaven? What she always says; "Let Them Eat Cake"1 point
