  5. Sometimes evil masquerades as 'good' to trick gullible people. The destruction of Syria by the USA and allies is pure greed, pure evil. So was Iraq. So was Afghanistan. Anywhere in the world where there is conflict, you can bet the US corporatocracy is doing its evil work to take control of the government and its finances, and the country's resources. John Perkins, author of 'Economic Hitman' calls it "mutant ... viral ... predatory ... capitalism" It is US based, and it is evil.

  6. Omar Khadr is special because he is the son of Ahmed Khadr, a Jihadist and close friend and associate of Osama Bin Laden. Then Liberal Prime Minister Jean Chretien was instrumental in having Ahmed Khadr released from a Pakistani jail. Chretien took that action mainly in order to persuade Canadians that the Liberal Party was more compassionate than opposition parties and went to great lengths to stand up for Canadians abroad. For Trudeau to recognize that Omar Khadr is a killer and a traitor for fighting against our allies and our soldiers would be tantamount to condemning ex-PM Chretien's actions which set Ahmed free to continue murderous Jihadist actions. That would be harmful to the Liberal brand. Hence the 10.5M payoff.

  7. Thank god for USA. Just imagine if it was not them in charge, all the idiots here would not have a safe forum to spout off thier nutty conspiracy theories. It is so sad that there are people here that think the world did not start till GW was in power. And that everyone was living ;large till america showed up. Have the west done things right all the time no, but certainly have helped out more countries and people then anyone else. Who saved the muslim butt in bosnia and other places AMERICA. Look at countries run by Isam, shit holes and will always be. Why do they all want to come here or america, think about it. Nothing but savages and need to be dealt with harshly. And to the women that support Islam, go live in a Islamic country and see what happens to you, when you open your mouth.

Anyway.....you think Islamists problems just sprouted overnight? That there wasn't any long-term planning involved? What's been the goal of Islam practically since its founding - isn't it to take over the world? Even Churchill warned about the danger of Islam! That's a century ago - before Trump! http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2012/11/30/happy-birthday-winston-churchill.html

Trump is getting rid of his garbage and our feminist PM is helping to pick up that garbage, and bringing that garbage back home to Canada. I know that I am being ruled over by a bunch of useless liberal misfits who are out to destroy what was once a great WASP nation, and are now being allowed to turn it to a third world dump. Way the go, liberals. Your plan is working, bozos.

  13. Some man (ick!) at Google had the nerve to commit his opinions in writing on the topic of alleged sexual discrimination in hiring and promotion at Google. What was worse, he had the nerve to tell the truth. That is, that women overwhelmingly prefer careers outside STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) professions. That, and not discrimination, accounts for the lower number of women at Google and in management positions there - and in other high tech areas. Naturally, truth doesn't sit well with the diversity crowd and there has been a lot of kickback. http://www.bbc.com/news/business-40845288 But there really isn't a lot of doubt that women prefer to work with people, not computers. I've seen it in my career in government, where, for example, every woman offered the chance, preferred to work with Human Resources, despite it being, in my opinion a terribly unrewarding job with limited forward progression. There is a massive amount of psychological studies on the subject, as well, all concluding the same thing. Women don't generally want to spend their lives in STEM professions. Yet progressives persist in the believe that wherever numbers are unequal between men and women (unless women are ahead) that is evidence of discrimination which must be addressed. The usual demand is that standards for women be lowered, and that men be discriminated against in favour of women. The irony of demanding discrimination is lost on them, of course. Things versus people. Su et al (2009) performed a meta-analysis of studies including a total of over 500,000 people examining gender differences in interests. Despite claims that gender differences are typically “small” (Hyde, 2005), Su et al found a gigantic gender difference in interests. Women preferred working with people, whereas men preferred working with things, a preference that is detectable within the first two days of birth and among our close species relatives, rhesus monkeys! To be sure, these differences were not absolute. Not every man prefers working with things, and not every woman prefers working with people. But the effect size was d= .93, and even if you are not familiar with effect sizes, this would make it one of the largest effects in social psychology; it is gigantic. https://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/rabble-rouser/201707/why-brilliant-girls-tend-favor-non-stem-careers

  21. As of this year 2017 there has been over 4000 criminal so-called refugees that have entered Canada illegally. 4000 new criminals for Canada who do not believe in abiding by the laws of Canada. And all of them have to be fed, clothed, and housed all at the Canadian taxpayer's expense. It is now August and I must assume that there will be another 4000 plus illegals that will enter Canada before the year is over. That feminist PM of ours should be fired or arrested for allowing this to happen and blowing Canadian taxpayer's tax dollars probably to the tune of another hundred million or more tax dollars. Your Canadian tax dollars at work, sucker.

  26. Anyway, the military is hardly a STEM profession. It does, however, help illustrate the point. Few women have much interest in joining the military - or the police or fire services, for example. That doesn't mean none. But it does mean they'll be heavily outnumbered by men. Still, there is always pressure to recruit more women, whether they want to be recruited or not, and promote them at all costs, regardless of qualification or merit. I'm certain Trudeau would love to appoint a woman to run the Defense department if there were any way he possibly could. But even once he dumps the current one he'd be hard-pressed to find an excuse to overlook Andrew Leslie without giving the man cause to resign.

  27. It certainly is, and the "court" in Gitmo failed to declare him an illegal combatant. But that's only one of the many legal frailties that surround his case and convictions, so there are strong arguments to support them being overturned. As a side note though, I'll bet his lawyer/guardian Dennis Edney has had a frank discussion or two with Khadr telling him don't even get a bloody speeding ticket for the time being at least.

    1 point
  30. Yes it would. He was a minor under control of his father. We will see how a real US court deals with that during his appeal of his conviction. I think there is no real evidence that he even threw that grenade. It's much more likely that his father's AlQuaeda friend threw it.

  32. Did you know McDonald's restaurants was started in 1954 by an American businessman? Today McDonald's feeds at least 1% of the world's population in over 100 countries. American (and Canaian) supermarkets of full of fruit, vegetables, and foodstuffs that many parts of the world only dream of. We in America and Canada have great wealth with automobiles, homes, computers, TVs, and many other material goods. Many people have good-paying jobs or pensions. They enjoy several weeks paid holidays, they get lots of long weekends like this one we are on now. The opportunity is available for many. Many people dream of coming to live in America and many come in illegally to reap the benefits of the good life. Meanwhile in Russia, the former USSR, people are lining up a grocery stores to try to get a few things. There are shortages. The people in the former USSR have suffered greatly since the communist revolution in 1917. Millions of people were murdered just as millions more were murdered by Chairman Mao tse Tung in China. America, the leader with it's military might has kept the west free. Tyrants abound in the world and are threatening the west; even right at this moment in N. Korea. Thanks to the U.S. we enjoy great prosperity and freedom. We might have been taken over by the USSR long ago or Hitler would control the world if the U.S. had not brought it's military might into the battle in WW2. You should appreciate the U.S. and west's military strength instead of criticizing the west. You probably enjoy all the benefits of our prosperity and freedom daily, but you show no appreciation, but exactly the opposite.

  34. Nonsense. To compare the actions of Khadr with that of women wearing burkas is rather stupid. Women wearing burkas are not committing a crime per se. They are not making bombs or attempting to kill anyone by doing so. The notion that little Omar is a victim and his murderous actions are to be given a pass would not stand up in a court of law. Leftists continually conflate and try to make everything equivalent to everything else. It is their ideological undoing.

  37. And you pretend to be like us. You and Omni ought to look back farther. Crimes and violence - especially war - has always been part of life. Except that certain parts of the world still have their pathetic tribal wars (Rwanda massacre as an example) where-in genocide is done thru machete - and you can be certain that the cruelties inflicted are truly barbaric. You support the likes of Idi Amin, Ghaddafi, Assad, and other brutal dictators in the form of talibans and boko harams, and Isis.......who terrorize, torture and kill their own helpless people. To you, trying to give succor and relief to helpless, suffering people, is, "meddling." I don't know from under what rock of this world you come from.....but no matter where you live, you bring with you the same mentality that these despots hammer into their subjects. You swallowed everything: hook, line and sinker. You don't hate us for the "atrocities" we did to people (heck, that's hypocritical of you when you side with despots). And here you are, talking about hypocrisy! That's merely your talking point. Only fools will buy that line. You hate the freedom we have. You hate our way of life. You hate our values. If you now live in a western civilization, you are a shining example why the western world should block the gates from certain people (who come from a certain part of the world, who have been brainwashed all their lives in fostering hatred towards the west). What you wear, will not change you. What you eat, will not change you. What company you keep, will not change you. Where you now live, will not change you. You'll always have a deep-seated hatred for the western world. Your words drip with it. To the enemy, the West deserves its "comeuppance." You show us clearly where your loyalty is. How many more think like you? It's just too bad that many liberals don't realize that. It's like bringing wolves into the hen house. They don't put too much thought in the welfare of their country as a whole. They seem to think in segments. They don't see the big picture. I don't know what Islamists hate more, the Jews or the West? But we do have an idea how it is to "earn" the hatred of these barbarians......... .................by looking at how they obsessively and relentlessly plot for the annihilation of the Jews.

  41. What I have read indicates that with a Guaranteed Annual Income, the disincentive to work is much smaller than expected. Of course, that's different than welfare which does disincentivise working because benefits are lost. GAI is not lost (until a relatively high ceiling), so people can work to improve their income. GAI also reduces criminal and social problems, and consequent policing and health costs. As for taxes, I've heard that argument before too, but never seen any evidence of those effects either. 'Common sense' often isn't.

  45. We do not owe any criminal financial compensation if they are found on a constitutional violation to have to be released due to inadmissable evidence. Its only when they are proven NOT to have engaged in any actions that led to their arrest that they are entitled to compensation. In this case Kadr had his rights violated but not even he denies he was a member of Al Queda and engaged in terrorism in Afghanistan-you do. This attempt to spin he was their sight seeing is a crock of sheeyat. He was engaging in terrorism. The fact he was entitled to release or preferential treatment for being under 18 does not mean he was innocent and had clean hands hard as you pretend he is a righteous martyr you hang on a cross an sing lamentations to.

  47. You have to remember that evolution is not an intelligent beast and it doesn't care about our wants and desires. For example, evolution has no interest in evolving towards a species free of cancer because, for the most part, cancer happens after the child-bearing years. So nature doesn't care. Nature has no interest in what diseases afflict us, be they heart, lung or whatever, once we're past child-bearing years. It will make no changes to lengthen our lives or make them less disease-prone in our middle and elder years. A stronger heart\? It's strong enough when we're in our twenties and early thirties and that's all nature cares about.

Someone hot, ie, attractive, someone tall and easy on the eyes, and preferably someone smart. If couples go to one of those sperm donor clinics what do they want to know about the donors? They want them to be intelligent and good looking. I think that some clinics even pay a premium for people like nobel prize winners. All this would be is doing it more efficiently. Besides, it's tired and cheap to say if Hitler liked dogs then everyone who is a dog lover is acting like Hitler.
