But most of the Tea Party made the switch because both were right wing populist movements the rank and file of populist movements are low-education, tribal, and low intellect and ideologically flexible to begin with

IMO...Trump will get his peace panel...or whatever he calls it...and America will begin expanding their military presence in Greenland in short order.

There’s two view on this matter. One is that the juice isn’t worth the squeeze, we’ve already do what we want in Greenland. Paying for it doesn’t make any sense, the Danes even offer to help pay for construction cost.

The second view is that America can’t subcontract out our national security to another country. Europe is a declining power and should not be entrusted with America’s defense. Mark Carney kind of lay it on the table when he said “middle powers must act together because if we’re not at the table, we’re on the menu.”

My personal thoughts is that we create a new world order with the Danes and Britain. Make Great Britain the 51st state (seriously). Form an alliance with the Scandinavian country and keep other powers outside of the Artic.
