And you know it.

Since you supposedly did this, you don't have to provide cites for anything you claim from committees anymore?

I do provide cites.  You just don't like them and want me to go hunt down another source that you will accept.

But the fact is - you reject, without consideration, ANY source that criticizes the Liberals in any way.

That is cult thinking.

100%

Cult thinking.

You can't - and you don't even try - to discuss facts or opinions.

You go directly to "I don't like this source - go find another one.  Nope, I don't like that one either, go find another one.  This source is also crap, go find another one."

It's a game.

Because you can't engage intellectually with facts, ideas or opinions.  So you just reject any source, any cite that doesn't say what you want it to say.

Yes, covid had a profound effect on affordability here in Canada and most world economies that is still lingering today.

Responding to you is a small part of my activity on this forum, but most of my responses to you are probably attacking your sources.  That's because your sources aren't usually just bad, but often absurdly, comically bad.

Telling us Michael Ma met with Chinese agents before crossing the floor was the best recent example, with an anonymous social media post claiming it as your only evidence.  You have no credibility after seriously and unironically offering that sort of garbage, so spare me the tears when we continue to attack and question your sources.  That's the bed you've made.

The federal Liberals have moved to turn the cameras off in a fourth Parliamentary committee this week.

The government house leader denies they are weaponizing their new majority status.

I've been watching committees for a lot of years and this has only been done occasionally when something being discussed is related to national security.

It is looking like the Liberals are going to move that all committees are out of camera, which makes government business inaccessible to the public and the media, as well as MPs on those committees cannot speak publicly about what goes on in them.

Accountability was squelched to near zero under the Liberal minority government, but at least the committees brought the more massive scandals to light - SNC Lavalin, SDTC, foreign interference, ArriveCan, PrescribeIT and so many more scandals.

Any one of these would destroyed any previous government. Without the public at least being aware, the malfeasance will only worsen.

Liberal cheerleaders - Some critical thinking, please.

First they stacked the committees and now - cameras "off".

Combine this with the ruthless push for censorship bills and we are quickly getting into banana republic, North Korea levels.

I'm not discussing this with you further.

"I don't like your source" is all you ever got.

Seriously dude or whatever you are - the Libs have just stacked committees and moved to turn off cameras and the majority gives them the votes to deny handing over documentation in corruption investigations by committee.

You got bigger problems here than "I don't like Goddess' sources."

I will go through this one more time for those unfamiliar with the chain of events.

  • A week before Ma crossed the floor, he posted on his official facebook page (not anonymous source), a meeting with a CCP-linked organization.  The post was screenshotted by independent journalists tracking his CCP connections.
  • The meeting was also entered into the records that all political parties keep of which meetings and with whom MPs are meeting with.
  • Moonface rejects those sources.
  • Ma deleted the post after crossing the floor.
  • Ma is then given a right-hand position by Carney at talks with Beijing about Canada participating in establishing a New World Order with China.
  • Ma then uses CCP talking points in a committee meeting to infer that slave labor is not being practiced in China.

You are all welcome to make of this whatever you want.

Moon clearly rejects all this.  And he will go on rejecting all Liberal Party connections to CCP-linked organizations, because he only accepts CBC headlines as proof of anything and he is in a cult, so emotionally, he has to defend the Liberal party to the point of id10cy.

https://madeinca.ca/poverty-statistics-canada/

Data from the last two censuses and other surveys on poverty in Canada show that the country’s poverty rate has decreased. The overall poverty rate has fallen from 14.5% in 2015 to 8.1% in 2020. However, there are still groups of people who are far more likely to live in poverty or low income so there is more work to be done to address poverty across all groups in Canada.]

Kid, trudeau changed the definition of poverty in 2018 and it massively reduced the number of 'poor'.

In 2018, the Trudeau government formally adopted the Market Basket Measure (MBM) as Canada's official definition of poverty, a significant shift in how poverty is measured in the country.

Poverty didn't get better, the definition got better.

Also 2015 was an anomaly.  IN 2014 it was 11.3 and 2016 it was 12 and change

poverty rate in canada 2014 - Google Search

poverty rate in canada 2016 - Google Search

The 2015 number was created by Justin Trudeau in 2016 To create a baseline in his artificially High because he needed a high number to compare his future numbers to.

Then he changed the definition so that tons of people who were poor before now did not qualify

So nice try :)

Here's some other proof things are worse

As of March 2025, Canadian food bank usage reached an all-time high of roughly 2.2 million monthly visits, a 99% increase since 2019. The highest demographic groups seeking assistance include market renters (approx. 70%), children (33%), and a rapidly rising number of employed individuals (1 in 5 users).

Key Poverty Trends (2026 Data Analysis)
  • National Poverty Rate: The rate was 11% in 2024, essentially unchanged from 11.1% in 2023, but sharply higher than the 7% recorded in 2020.
  • Income Decline: Median after-tax income dropped by nearly $2,000, from $77,400 in 2020 to $75,500 in 2024, adjusted for inflation.
  • Rising Food Insecurity: Roughly 9.8 million people (about 24% of the population) reported household food insecurity in 2024.

CBC +1

So even with the new definition the reality is you cherry picked your numbers and the number of people living in poverty is about the same as it was under harper except that it would be about 30% higher if we still use the same definition we used during harper's time

There's more poor people and the gap between poor and rich is growing
